Mostly just lurking at the moment. Still temping though. Got in a lot of BD action until the most crucial moment this month - I ov'd a day later than expected, DH had been given the go ahead to go out to a beer festival - drunk and useless he was! But as I have a short luteal phase and he has wonky sperm, I don't think timing is really our issue. Would love to manage a 10 day LP though.

Jess - the numbers are looking good, hope to hear good news soon!!

Well AF started for me this morning. I was not too suprised given the lack of pg symptoms and the bfn yesterday.

I started ttc almost a year ago. From charting it seems that I OV regularly, have a normal LP and plenty of ewcm, yet after 12 months ttc all I've achieved is one missed mc, a lot of unhappiness and a prescription for anti-depressants. I can honestly say it has been the worst year of my life.

So I've made the decision to stop actively ttc. I'm going to ditch the folic acid, thermometer and OPKs and I'm going to keep away from MN (although I'm very grateful for the support I've received here). I'm going to try and spend the next 6 months enjoying life again. If I get pregnant 'accidently' then I will be overjoyed. If not, then I guess I'll re-evaluate the situation in the new year.

I wish all of you the best of luck for the future .

Have resumed my place...I was stuck on the end of Nappy!

Sorry to see af arrived and to see you go Jess....good luck, come back with good news soon though!

mum0f3 · 20/06/2007 07:34

Jess - sorry to see you leave, I hope all your wishes and dreams come true, you will be missed here.

Feels like there are many around here at the moment, it feels a bit like the low after the high of so many successes. I hope that we have many more successes soon.

Rah - are you there, is your computer out of action....

Ready - sorry for the very selfish email last night. I will email later today again, and try not to be so self-centred.

Thinking · 20/06/2007 09:02

Quick question for the temping ladies...

My normal cycle is 28/30 days long with a 12 day LP.

I know this cycle I had a delayed ovulation either on day 28, 31 or 33 of this cycle.

Today is day 48, even assuming the latest ovulation day (i.e. 33) would put me at 15 DPO, which is 3 days past my normal LP cycle. So I have had 15 much higher than coverline temps to date.

I thought I was pregnant but zillions of BFN tests show clearly that I am not.

I am wondering if I have a cyst, how long do I wait to confirm this, or is it a doctor visit thing ?

RahRah1 · 20/06/2007 09:44

Howdy peeps.... How is everyone.

MUM - my computers not broken.... just been really busy. We went to Bristol for the weekend, which was really nice but my sodding period showed up as well as vile PMT! I had a massive argument with the receptionist at the hotel which resulted in her running off crying! She was a complete idiot though... Basically don't mess with the Rah with PMT! GRRRRRRRRRR... Of course there will be more successes, as there is no reason why none of us can't get pregnant, in fact most of us have been pregnant before... so defiantly achievable! For those that have not been pregnant before it is just a matter of time for you guys too! None of us have gynie problems...just bad luck!

Jess - so sorry you are feeling miserable... I totally know where you are coming from. I totally agree have some time out, however please don't stop taking folic acid, just in case you get pregnant. You should be taking it up to three months in advance of conceiving. You could perhaps take a different vitamin that has folic acid in, so you are being healthy anyway... Really hope you can relax with your time out and come back with good news. Best wishes. XX

Thinking - I would pop to the doctor and get a blood test. Rule out pregnancy and then ask them to investigate. Your cycle is defiantly longer than it should be. They can then take bloods to monitor hormone levels and ovulation. Then take steps from there if needed. Best of luck at the doc's!

Hi to everyone else... I better go as have loads of work on and have an appointment to get too.... speak soon... I will lurk more promise!

NappyValley · 21/06/2007 09:39

NappyValley - 36.49° CD5 LP11(11th cycle)
Minxi - ° CD6 LP13 (14th cycle)
duchesse - ° CD7 - LP14 (9th cycle since m/c, 46th cycle ftc)
Rattling - ° 6DPO CD27 LP9 (18th cycle? - lost track)
CityAngel - ° CD28 LP10 (9th cycle)

Jess I am so sorry you are feeling so bad. I don't think you should count from the beginnig. Having a MC is extremely unsettling and difficult experieince. Maybe some counselling would help. I think having some fun is a fantastically good idea. Your body sounds healthy and the fact you conceived this year is a really positive thing, even though I am really sorry for your loss. Don't stop taking the Folic Acid. It has been a pleasure hun, take care of yourself and do come back anytime (hopefully with great news).

Rah love your attitude sorry af over weekend away most untimely. I am finding with these vitamins that PMT was back to pre-pill levels --scary stuff. Iwas crying and ranting at the news the other week which had my hubby in stiches (thankfully I didn't notice and he told me afterwards - or it might have got violent).

My temps are being silly stupid since starting the Agnus Castus. Really high but seem to be heading south. Add to that totally tired and always feeling sick, you'd think it was a sympathetic pregnancy. ITs not, my theory is that it is my hormones being given a new kick and need some settling time, so not much hope of pg this month, but all in good time.

Off to MIL for long weekend in Yorkshire. Might be off MN, but then again they do have a pooter!!

NappyValley · 21/06/2007 09:42

thinking - still waiting eh. Mmm sounds like your body is a little confused. Not sure about the cyst thing, but a trip to the docs is probably a good idea to set your mind at rest if nothing else. I have had firends with erratic cycles while bf, so not sure if it is that or something more complicated. Best to get it checked. Let us know how you get on.

Thinking · 21/06/2007 20:34

Yes, you are right that I need to get this checked out at some point.

I'm intending on testing over the weekend and will properly try to get to see a nurse/doctor next week sometime.

Ready · 22/06/2007 12:04

NappyValley ? I am good ta, how are you? I have been super busy so hardly any time for chatting on MN, or even thinking about the possibility of being pregnant! How did this happen to me ? I am normally such a worrier!
I haven?t been able to properly read everything I missed on here, but I gather a lot of your friends are pregnant. Big hugs ? it?s not easy to hear about others when you are not with them.

Fettle - Thanks for the message? I do miss you. Something tells me though you will have had your baby by the time I even graduate to the AN boards. Sniff.

Mum03 - Your email was not selfish ? don?t be daft! I hope that my waffle in return helped a little bit?

Rah - How are you chick?

Minxi - How are you doing? Are you still on Clomid? How many cycles can you do it?

Anyone seen Cityangel??? Put out an APB for her!!!!

Gracie - Nice to see you. How?s it all going? Fingers crossed you don?t need to rejoin the thread ? but of course you are very welcome.

Rattling - How are you doing? Fingers crossed you get a 10day LP.

Jess - Sorry to hear that you are leaving us ? but I totally understand your rationale. The one thing I will say is don?t give up the folic acid ? just treat it as a multi-vit, it is good for you so keep in the habit. Enjoy the next six months, and we all really hope that you pop back to tell us some wonderful news real soon. All the best.

Everyone else - I hope all is well.

scorpio1 · 22/06/2007 12:08

scorpio1 · 22/06/2007 12:39

oh sorry, mum03. im just too excited.

mslucy · 22/06/2007 12:39

yay for you

Thinking · 22/06/2007 14:07

Congratulations mum03 Hope you have a healthy, happy nine months.

I was wondering, is there room here for another mum, I would like to join your thread.

I have just started spotting today after waiting weeks to see if I was pregnant or just having a very very long cycle. Sadly it was a very long cycle, so I am going back to charting and this time I will know where I am.

So today I am on CD1 of my first cycle trying to TTC No 2 (argghhh can't believe I just typed that). But it will take a while with 50 day cycles !?! Normally 28/30 days.

RahRah1 · 22/06/2007 15:27

OMG MUM03....CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

Oh I won't get any more monthly rants! Maybe you can rant for me still!

Gracie14 · 22/06/2007 16:13

Fantastic news Mum03 - so pleased for you

Thinking - I know its hard sorry your on CD1 . I had a 52 day cycle the cycle before last and although I kept getting BFN's I was convinced the only answer was that I was pregnant which I obviously wasn't then my last cycle was 27 days!!

I'm now on CD26 and waiting to see what happens, I feel like AF is going to arrive soon though so I'm not holding out much hope for a BFP any time soon

Ready · 22/06/2007 16:31

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Thrilled to pieces for you Mum03

NappyValley · 22/06/2007 19:09

Rattling - ° 7DPO CD28 LP9 (18th cycle? - lost track)
CityAngel - ° CD29 LP10 (9th cycle)

Thinking welcome welcome. We seem to be having a good few months here. We have several members who are not temping at the mo, as they need a break, so although the list is short, the support is mighty! to all you lurkers and graduates.

ready had a spell of 10 births between apr -jun. Thought it would be really tough, but actually totally enjoying being "honorary aunt" and having cuddles etc and then handing back and getting a decent nights sleep!!!

Temp has FINALLY dropped, it is CD6 but my body was unconvinced. Am taking the Agnus Castus which is ghastly - really, it smells and tastes like vomit.

Thinking · 22/06/2007 20:17

Thanks for the welcome NappyValley

Gracie14, Yes, I agree long cycle are horrible. I hope my body gets straight sooner rather than later. I'll be following your chart and hopeing you post a BFP.

Just a general question ladies, as it has been over a year since I charted properly. Does CD1 start from spotting or from full flow ?

Thanks

mum03 · 23/06/2007 08:00
