May Bus

I know a few people will unfortunately be joining me eventually so I figured I'd get this bus going.
My cycles are crazy and averaging 60 days and I don't think I've ovulated yet so I'm out for April.

TTC: #1
Cycle: #4 (month 8)
CD: #25

Not holding much hope for conception at the moment but I've got to wait until August anyway.
Such an optimistic person to start the new bus!

BFN here! I suppose that will reach me not to test at 8dpo

I'll try again in a couple of days but in case this isn't my cycle, I've just ordered a supply of internet cheapies for next month so I can satisfy my POAS addiction without wasting expensive FRERs!

@silverpenguin even holding out til 8dpo requires superhuman levels of determination! Still loads of time for this cycle though.

11dpo and BFN. Will now wait until the weeekend to check again

@LP17 I'm with you now, ff has confirmed ovulation based on my temp and I'm now 3dpo. First time I've done the temping so good to know something's happening at least.

I’m off to Superdrug today to buy a bbt thermometer. Has anyone got any recommendations as to which one I should get? X

BFN here this morning, temp is still rising but I have my pre-AF sore boobs so 100% sure I am out. Cx is still high, but puffy and open. hate this bit, if AF is coming I get inpatient and just want to move onto the next cycle

has anyone booked a private pelvic fertility scan or had a scan?

Amazing all you ladies who are temping. I did it one cycle last time ttc and it was helpful but it was so much stress and I don't think it would work now because the cat gets me up at least once every night! Last time I got the baby mad one, which worked well.

Well, I had a flashing smiley face last night and a static one today :)
Finally managed to dtd last night so ooh! Trying desperately to get some freelancing work done before I pick DS up from preschool but it's so hard to concentrate! Really wanted to get it all done soon so I can start doing some holiday lists - we're going away in a couple of weeks too, mad!

Anyway, happy hump day ladies!

@aph413 @silverpenguin sorry about BFN but don't count yourselves out until AF arrives, the waiting is the killer though.

@upsydaisy sorry about your BFN too, though I feel the exact same as you. 100% sure my AF is on the way too. Due on the 4th.

This month has hit me hard, had this stupid idea this would be our month then it would be perfect for working till Christmas then mat leave. I don't enjoy my job anymore so I was really holding onto that thought. Stress at work this month probably isn't helping ttc though.

countrygirl94 sorry to hear you aren't enjoying work. I feel the same - I'm hanging on for now as if I get pregnant quickly it makes sense to stay for the maternity leave but if I'm not pregnant by the summer I'll resign and look for something else. Life is too short!

Same as the rest of you - hating work right now and we’re planning on a big move, but everything’s so up in the air. Just started spotting :( def out again this month

@upsdaisy @silverpenguin its always reassuring to know others feel the same way. This thread has been such a help to me this month.

If you hate your job life is way to short to stay miserable because of a job. For me I don't hate it as such (right now i could see it far enough haha), just been a stressful few months, hoping it will ease up soon.

I've been self employed since DS was born so yep mat pay not great but still!

According to Ovia, I'm in by fertile window now but both hubbo and I have the most hideous flu, but we rallied and had the LEAST SEXY SEX ever last night!! Urgh. What a trooper he is. Ha!

So my question is this, NHS recommends sex every 2 days but other websites suggest every day. How often are you all planning on doing it????

Welcome @sauvblanc22 sorry to hear you’ve been poorly, it’s shit when that happens right on your fertile window, that was me this cycle and we only managed to dtd once during my fertile window because of it. We usually try for every other day during the fertile window and for the rest of the time just whenever we feel like it as I don’t want our whole sex life to feel timed.

I’m on CD24 which means af due tomorrow. I have been exhausted the last couple of days and really struggled to get myself up and ready for work, even after a good sleep last night so that may well indicate af is on her way. I usually feel like I could start an arguement in an empty room the day before and that hasn’t happened yet so that might be something to look forward to later 😂

Sorry just realised I used the phrase fertile window far too many times in that post 😄

sauvblanc every other day for us, I think that's quite enough especially when you already have a toddler and both work . I'd be exhausted doing every day!! How old is your DC?

It's so annoying when you're ill during the fertile window or something else happens which means you can't DTD. DH is probably on a work trip next month around ovulation time, I'm very annoyed about it (only half joking!)

@sauvblance for us we try every other day leading up to fertile window then this month we tried every day during that week. Have to say after fertile window its just when we fancy. I do worry we are missing out if I'm ovulating later than I think cause of this.

Yes silver penguin you're quite right, same situation for us with toddler (son of 2.5 years old) and both working, sometimes we end up being week-time-virgins so even every other day is a push then! Ha! How old is your toddler? Oh nooo, re work trip, how long for? Really go for it before he leaves?

Hi Countrygirl, I know what you mean, I'm basing my fertile window on an app, but it could be wrong of course! Argh.

Until I started using opk I found I totally missed ovulation and I ovulate later than I thought.
We actually managed to BD loads this month but have now totally lost all sex drive poor DH

@saublace I started using opks this month, though I still wasn't that sure! thinking about starting tempting but not sure.

@upsydaisy I lost my sex drive (though mines isn't the best to start with!) after this fertile window too. My DH has the patience of a saint haha
