Is it ok if I join? I had my coil taken out today and she said I'm fertile right away so I guess ttc starts today...I'm afraid I will probably ask a lot of questions!

Does it count as my first cycle from now or do I need to wait for my period to arrive and count that as CD1 of cycle 1?

TTC #1 as I'm sure you can tell, and I'm 24, had my third laparoscopy for endometriosis in October...hoping it will have helped enough to give me a clear run at getting pregnant.

Hi Tiny I had my coil out at the start of September and I counted it as day 1 of my cycle. They told me I was fertile right away but my cycle ended up lasting 78 days. Don't let that worry you though it's different for different people, did you have a hormonal coil?

Thanks Aph. Yes I had mirena. Wow that's a long time, you must have been going crazy! Did your cycle go back to normal after that if you're past cycle 2 yet? (Sorry, thought it was quicker to ask again rather than trawl through the last december and November buses!)

I'm only on cycle 2. Currently day 21. I've being using ovulation kits and taking my temp to monitor myself and I don't seem to have ovulated yet so I think I'm in for another long cycle. I used to have 29 day cycles but I didn't have one for the 5 years with my mirena. My sister on the other hand went right back to normal after mirena.
It did start to drive me crazy after a while and I had to stop tracking everything and just wait for my period to come in the end.
Don't let that put you off though

I had a mirena for five years up til July, then the depo for three months, then this again since October, so I'm worried I'll have messed myself right up...I didn't really have periods with Mirena either, a bit of sporadic blood but never enough to be proper AF. It's so hard to track everything when you've had artificial hormones isn't it...and that's without wondering what it's been doing to your bone density I think I'm going to need to just go with the flow for a while.

So glad to be on a forum finally...I've been anticipating being able to join one of these for ages. My DP is so excited and enthusiastic but I don't think he gets how the whole babymaking thing technically works at all so it's great to be able to chat to other people about it, obviously it's a bit of a weird subject to discuss with people irl!

Hi all on December bus, I would like to join please! 37y, ttc #1, currently CD12 of cycle 5, AF due 26th Dec. Not too hopeful this month as we have been away visiting family this past week so no chance to dtd but still got a couple of days left so fx.

@tinysnowbuddy, I had a mirena for six years, had it out in June. I had a short withdrawal bleed about three days after it was removed and counted the first day of that as day one of my next cycle. First cycle after IUS came out lasted 33 days, they gradually shortened and last (fourth) cycle was 28 days exactly. Hope yours settles down quickly for you too.

Period came second day lol
Bled 5 days
Then we ttc (although we dtd the day it came out, The day after too)

Had what seems like a chemical pregnancy last month positive test then negative

I would count today as your first but be weary that af can come any time

And everyone is diff

I was over the moon af came the next day as so I could start 'afresh' Lol

So my cycles were normally 28days
Last month was 30 days
But think the c.p had something to do with that

I'm hoping I'm on track with 28 day cycles as if I do catch this month I might test on Christmas!

Hi @TinySnowBuddy first month post mirena fo me too I had extremely light spotting once a mince which I assumed was AF according to ovulation tests I ovulated exactly when my flo app predicted so that's promising 🤞 ove heard people who've got pregnant in the first month so baby dust to you 😆 x

@ImpatientMammy Flo is due now-sunday so I will probably test Monday if she's a no show.

Terrible heartburn today ( possibly 7dpo). Don't want to symptom spot, but I had this in the tww with dd1, and it's not something I usually suffer with.

Hi all! Darkstar, Lost and Impatient, that sounds good for all of you in terms of cycles at least! Think I'll have to jump DP's bones when he gets home just in case I'm going to reinstall the Flo app too, I will need help to calculate it. Need to pick up some folic acid tomorrow, does it make a difference what brand you get? If not I'll just get on the £1 Wilko ones. Wishing for BFPs soon for all of you.

Hi all, I'm still hanging onto this bus...just about! AF was due today but no sign so far. I did a frer on Wednesday which was a bfn. I'm expecting AF any time now though, so expecting to be on the January bus!

I don't think it makes much difference. I've brought the couples conception vitamins for the last couple of months because I'm getting sad and desperate now. DH is a bit older than me, so his sperm might need a boost!

I'm just taking folic acid I'll upgrade once I'm pregnant 🤞 x

Bfn here. Admittedly not fmu but AF was due Tuesday so I would have thought it would be detected by now.

Im never late so god knows whats going on.

Sorry been a very busy day! So sorry to hear about the BFN! It's horrible and I have been there! I'm keeping 🤞🏻 for you all that there is still a chance for your hormones to be raised and you get the BFP you all deserve!
I tested today and can report it was a BFP! Still can't believe it! However part of me still thinks I need to test tomorrow on my other tests just to double check! Feel the need to hang around to see you all get yours now!
