Have been slowly coming off antidepressants and stopped taking the pill (using condoms) to get body back to normal ready to try for no.2 in June, also started taking pregnacare. I know its early to start posting but got my first proper period today so just been on site to check fertile dates for months again and think we're going to go for it in June - ooooooooooooo, very excited. Just wondered if there was anyone else out there planning way ahead cos i wouldn't talk to anyone in RL life about it so far ahead, other than dh!

Hi ladies

I'm so pleased to find your group, and be able to chat to other people going though the same madness of ttc (and without all those annoying banners, tickers and assorted glittery things that make posts on other forums a foot long each!!)

I'm cd24, last cycle was 26 days and I'm symptom spotting like mad and going slightly crazy! All the usual ones are there - sore boobs, grouchiness, cramping but impossible to tell the difference between pms and good news!!

This is cycle 2 of trying, and I really don't know how people go through this month after month! I've got one dd, 21 months, but she was a welcome surprise so I didn't have to go through all this last time around!

Anyway, have to ask, has anyone else ever taken a test apart to hold the strip up to the light in case a very faint stripe (that you can't actually see but are sure is there) might be clearer that way?

lissie · 06/06/2007 17:38

hi derah, welcome to MN!!

and yes! every month

tigerschick · 06/06/2007 18:15

Hi derah! Pleased to hear that you feel at home here

We're all a bit loopy when it comes to ttc but it does happen eventually!

spugs · 06/06/2007 18:47

Got my first bfn since my mc, but as i did hope id catch before af but i suppose at least ill know whats going on. Just waiting for af now which judging by the cramps for the past week is going to be sooner rather then later.

UpsyDaisy · 06/06/2007 20:02

Haven't got much time tonight, but just wanted to say congrats to pobletsmum.....very pleased for you.
Hello too to derah

Hope everyone else is doing well

tigerschick · 06/06/2007 20:08

Sorry spugs Hopefully you won't have long to wait for your period then you can try again

derah · 06/06/2007 20:27

Thanks for the welcomes all...

Sorry things don't look good this time around Spugs.

CONGRATULATIONS Pobletsmum!!!

So how do you all keep youself from testing every 5 minutes? I'm totally obsessed with testing and it's a very expensive habit!! Got a bfn this morning with a Clearblue when I was really expecting a bfp. Got one more, which I know I should save for a couple of days at least but it's taking all my willpower not to test again this evening or tomorrow morning!!!!

manamana · 06/06/2007 20:28

Fantastic news poblets! And spugs, sending you a hug.

I have been a bit silly..... I have a light bfp! And dh isn't back til tomorrow night so am going crazy on my own!!!! Wasn't going to test until Friday cos we're away for weekend birthday party and af due on Friday but today I just felt so odd and convinced that I was pg and I was in Boots and there were those Clearblue early tests... and I bought one.... and i just tested and the is a definite light pink line next to the thick pink line! So, I guess that's a positive! Last time I tested about 4 times to be sure but now I don't know what to do as dh isn't here. Just managed to talk to him on phone without giving game away! He's back late tomorrow night so will tell him what I've done and we can do anotherone then to check. But OH MY GOD. Have got packed day at work tomorrow with interviews and my performance review - how am to going to concentrate!!!!

Welcome Derah!

Congratultions manamana. We'll be pregnancy buddies! I know what you mean about not being able to concentrate at work - I was useless yesterday. Fortuntaely my boss was off sick. Phew!

spugs

Thanks for the congratulations everyone. Scorpio - I have 1 gorgeous DS already, who was 2 last week. I'm not sure what he'll think about having a brother or sister.

minxy125 · 06/06/2007 22:24

Hi everyone, thought I had better haul myself over from the may thread, af due yesterday but no sign, although I had mc at 11 wks in april so not sure if its just my body getting back to normal, although dp and i have been actively trying this month!! Will do a test first thing in the morning though when dp home from work, have been feeling sick but thought it could be all in my head!!

Congrats poblets and manamana on the bfp's

Thelittlesoldiersmummy · 07/06/2007 08:43

Welcome Derah

Congrats Manamana (you lucky thing)

Sorry to hear that spugs but if AF isnt here then still a chance {{{{{spugs}}}}}

well my DH is still not able to BD which is really getting to me am on cd15 and so should be busy but nothing does it matter if we do in the evening rather than the morning as he says he feels better in the evenings??? I would have thought in the evening is better than nothing like at the mo...... last night he said he couldnt and again this morning but he said he would try this evening bless him! He says I am putting him under too much pressure and so it doesnt want to work! bloody brilliant but any other time in the month he is like a bunny rabbit oh well never mind (sorry if too graphic girls just needed to get it out)

Also my ds has now decided he loves Mummy and not Daddy which is really upsetting my DH he started crying this morning over it

pobletsmum · 07/06/2007 08:58

littlesoldiersmummy - sorry DH is feeling so bad about DS 'not loving him'. How old is DS? As for BD in the evening - I don't see what the problem is. Why would it be any worse than in the morning? You get to lie still for as long as you like, without having to jump up, so you can just let nature take its course .

lissie · 07/06/2007 09:01

evening is the best time to have sex anyway stick a pillow under your bum and youre away..

derah · 07/06/2007 09:12

Oh woe is me, af is here so it's back to cd1. Ah well, at least I have 2 weeks of relative sanity ahead of me before the madness starts again! My cycles seem to be shrinking! Last one was 26 days, now 24 days... soon I'll be ovulating every week! I'm pretty happy about these short cycles though... less time to wait.

Congratulations manamana!!!!! You must be so excited!!

lissie · 07/06/2007 09:17

sorry manamana, forgot to congratulate you!

lissie · 07/06/2007 09:18

sorry derah

tigerschick · 07/06/2007 09:23

Woo Hoo! Congratulations Manamana - wow, they're rolling in now aren't they?!

Gotta dash - will catch up more later

pobletsmum · 07/06/2007 09:25

really sorry derah

Soph73 · 07/06/2007 09:34

Good grief, there´s so much happening at the moment! As most of you from the other tread will know I have finally bought a test but too wound up to take it and I feel like my period is going to start any minute now Anyway, will be cheered up later as it´s ds summer concert this afternoon. They´re doing Tattybogle (he´s a scarecrow for those of you who don´t know ) and ds is a punk rocker crow!!! Should be good for a laugh and if period does start I can sit in the show and cry and just make out it´s because I´m so proud of ds lol!!

Derah - welcome, you´ve definitely come to the right place, and yes I think I can say (without offending anyone) that we´re all a bit barmy round here

littlesoldiersmummy - sorry to hear about your dh, hope he picks up soon. My ds went through the same thing a couple of years ago, one week he loved Mummy & not Daddy, the next he loved Daddy & not Mummy. It´s very upsetting when it happens even though you know they don´t really mean it

Manamana - congratulations How exciting!

Minxy125 - hi there, any news this morning?

Soph73 · 07/06/2007 09:42

Congrats manamana - I did wonder how you would wait til dh was back Anniemac - I also tried to plan dates as I wanted a spring or summer baby. Now this one will be born in January which is the worst month of the year (also my birthday)but I so want the baby the due date doesn't seem important anymore.
