Yay, found the thread!

So does a 10 miu test mean it's extra sensitive scorpio1? Gonna have a look at that site now.

Lexie100 · 14/04/2007 18:03

How accurate are these sensitive 10 miu tests??
Mine says i can test 7 days after conception, which would probably be tomorrow. Should i do one or wait??

HannahMTW · 14/04/2007 18:35

I've already been disappointed twice this time by using a less sensitive one (predictor) that gave me a BFN. I'd be tempted to wait til tomorrow, but to be honest I'm one of the least experienced people here in the baby game so who knows! If they're really sensitive they should be good. But isn't first thing in the morning best to try? I've just ordered some of those 10 miu ones so hopefully they'll come really soon. Really want a BFP! Hope you get one of those whenever you decide to test!

Lexie100 · 14/04/2007 19:25

i'll test tomorrow. I have three tests left and can always buy more for next month if get BFN

scorpio1 · 14/04/2007 19:31

always use first morning urine-the pg hormone, hcg is far more concentrated.

10miu is the most sensitive test you can buy-clearblue(some of them) and predictor are 50miu.tesco own are 25miu and quite sensitive.

Good luck you testers!!

HannahMTW · 14/04/2007 20:29

Good luck Lexie, let us know!

plummymummy · 14/04/2007 22:08

Out of loyalty to you my pal Scorpio, I have now ceased bidding for the handbag so you may be in with a chance. Tigerschick and Awen thanks for your messages, but no need to single me out as lots of women on here have had miscarriages and not conceiving is as bad as conceiving, then losing. It's all shit really innit! Anyway, onto lighter notes...what a glorious day today . The only thing that makes me feel slightly guilty is the suspicion that it's the result of global warming and that I should be commiserating rather than celebrating . Welcome to all newcomers and good luck ttc Congrats furry

plummymummy · 14/04/2007 22:08

Oh bugger, why do the italics never work?!

plummymummy · 14/04/2007 22:11

the handbag - Oh I see, one can't use italics when a sentence is punctuated!

Shantih · 15/04/2007 01:48

Wow! Thank goodness for a busy day. No AF yet (CD29) and no time to think "what if".

Congrats Furrymummy. There's good vibes in the air around here. You are proof POSITIVE (pardon the pun).

Lexie100 · 15/04/2007 07:39

Just did test and got a BFN. Still got 3 days to go (not including today as AF always arrives first thing).

Sorry about BFN Lexie
But it could still be to early. Last friday i tested and got BFN then tested again on the Monday and got BFP.
Dont give up just yet.xx

goingfor3 · 15/04/2007 10:17

Congrats Furrymummy! .

I was on the May thread but seems more likely af will come this month(hopefully not at all!!!!)

I think I may have already ov'd . I caved in and bought some ov sticks. Friday and saturday they were negative. I had some ewcm on Thursday, Friday and Saturday but none today. I probably missed the surge on Thursday. We bd'd on thursday and friday so should be in with a chance. Will carry on this month just incase I was wrong! So I may now be on the two week wait, well usually about 11 days for me which means I'll be due end of April.

waiting4bambino · 15/04/2007 11:49

From way down in the thread - thanks for all the advice on dh (saying "we're great together! Do we really want an additional person here with us?!!!" I think it's passed now... He hasnt mentioned it since, and when i used my ov kit yesterday and found the LH surge (for the 1st time i might add!!!) he was really pleased, and suggested we BD tonight!!! Yay!
I've been using those ov pee sticks on and off for months now and have never got a positive result on them, so when i did i jumped up and shouted "I'm laying an egg!!" and if my sis wasnt there, i would've gone BD'd straight away!!!
Kind of glad its nearing the end of my 2ww, as I'm tiring of all the BD-ing (is that possible?!)
Also - a question - i went to a farm yesterday and it had a big notice on the barn which said PREGNANT WOMEN MUST NOT ENTER THE LAMBING BARN! And i just wondered why? I've heard of the issues with cat litter and aquariums (i have an aquarium and am the only person who cleans it out, so i guess i'll have to do it whilst i am assuming i'm not pregnant!) but had never heard of lambs posing a problem. Any country girls out there who would know the answer to this?
Congratulations Furry, i really think this is the lucky thread to be on!

tigerschick · 15/04/2007 12:37

There is a bacteria type thing in the placenta/afterbirth of a sheep that can be harmful and can cause m/c in humans. Dh used to know all about it as there were sheep on the farm he worked on when we met, but none here so we've forgotten the details. Basically it's worth taking notice of!

Anyway, hope everyone is well and enjoying the sunshine

Not got time to catch up properly yet, it's amazing how much we manage to add in 24 hours!

Scorpio - good luck for the game this arvo [Tiger offers a sporting handshake]

HannahMTW · 15/04/2007 15:15

Hi, little miss niave here again!

Got a doc's appt tomorrow as busted my elbow falling off my bike - oops! But thought I'd take the chance to talk to the doc about this AF no show (now CD36!). I've ordered some of those 10 miu tests, but until they arrive I'm gonna be impatiently waiting to know if I'm PG or not. Do they only do blood tests at the docs as this is what I've heard? Coz don't the results take ages to come?

Any ideas from the more experienced out there? Thank you!

BellaBear · 15/04/2007 15:53

plummymummy you have to put the markers around each word you want to change appearance - it takes ages to do a whole sentence!
