plummy im so scared of having another ep that i test after afs been just in case

plummymummy · 13/05/2007 20:39

Well I'm not surprised, given your experience Mine was not as traumatic -but the crushed hope was the worse thing to contend with. I was lucky enough not to damage any tubes. The waiting was difficult too as I knew it was a failing pg but they wouldn't do an evacuation (preferring to leave it to nature), so constant monitoring and lots of questioning looks from work colleagues due to change of role - but couldn't tell them. Told them after though.

lissielou · 14/05/2007 07:23

On the other hand she is so funny saying "it won't change my life "

plummymummy - I am keeping everything crossed for you that AF doesn't turn up tomorrow, I've only been on this baord a few weeks and already I am so so hoping that all of you get a bfp, it's funny isn't it?

Sweetkitty-i too am ttc dc3,and know what you mean about broodiness!!poor dp knows that i get to about 18 mths post childbirth and then start the nagging...... i honestly dont think i will ever stop being broody-i have a feeling this will be our last baby, which makes me a bit because i am still only 22.i still want to be able to spoil the children we have and to go abroad, and dont want the amount of children we have to stop that iyswim??

Hi Everyone

(thought we'd need a few s on this grey morning - well it's grey here at least!)

Sweetkitty - Not so much analysing as whining I'm afraid! I'm on CD130 (i think) and no idea when, or if, AF will turn up!

Plummy - how you doing? Managing to wait until tomorrow?

Scorpio - how was the weekend? Dp back now?

MrsMJ - Hope you continue to stay well.

Awen - Sorry you've been a bit sicky, hope it doesn't hang around too much longer. When is your next scan?

Lissielou - I don't know your history but, by the sounds of it, you are very brave to keep trying and I really hope you have a successful pg very soon.

Pobletsmum - Hi. Hope you are well.

Anyone I've missed - sorry and hi and hope you are well

Oh, btw, I have finally got my scan date thru - Thursday 31st - 4 weeks my arse!!!

Soph73 · 14/05/2007 09:54

Morning all - you´ll all be pleased to know that after our heatwave it is now cloudy and rainy this morning so you see it´s not all sunshine and sangria Had a very relaxing weekend, which I needed as AF coming this month really got me down. Talked to dh about it and he really doesn´t seem concerned at all and has adopted the attitude "if it happens it happens", which is not particularly helpful, especially as he was the one who really wanted another child and it took me a good 4 years to convince myself I did and now I can´t think of anything else! Hey ho, keep positive I suppose!

sweetkitty - not quite sure when I ovulate because only realised kept a track last month but I think it´s about the same as you and you´re not sad because I work out when next AF is due as soon as it starts!

pobletsmum - of course you can join us nice to know there´s someone else in the same position ifyswim!

plummy - how you doing? Have still got everything crossed for you I´ll join you in the wine drinking (am allergic to prawns), but hopefully you´ll be on juice

mrsmcjnr - how you feeling?

scorpio - hope alls well in your household and you´re enjoying dp being home.

Sorry to all of those I missed but it´s not easy keeping up (especially as I´m supposed to be working )

Morning all,

Can one of you clever people who keep the lists add me on please?

I am CD 6 having FTC in May

CONGRATULATIONS Mrs McJ, was v. pleased to read your lovely news and do hope you will still stay around for awhile to keep us posted on how you are doing and make us all feel better with your lovely posts.

You did mention you thought you knew me from another thread about lawyers and babies but in fact I did not post on that, have only posted on the conception thread. I do like my job as one (i practice employment law btw and hello to Annie Mac who has said she is one too).

Wheely, Meto and Kaliedscope, think we are around same CD, can we be cycle buddies?

Snowgirl (hope got your name right?) know how you feel, DS was relatively quick and easy to conceive but so far FTC number 2 Think age may be a factor, was 34 when fell pregnant first time but was 36 (now 37) when started TTC no. 2

Going to ring my GP today to try and get an appointment to start getting the basic tests done. My DH has told me he wants to come with me which is nice so will see how receptive and helpful the surgery is.

Sorry if I missed anyone else off who has had a BFP this month. Well done if you have!

lissielou · 14/05/2007 13:45

hi all, well we go on hol on friday. what am i going to do without you ladies for a whole week?! having said that at least i wont be tempted to test early again

saw my counsellor today and in the middle of one of my trademark crap body, useless womb rants i realised that actually, im doing all i can. i cant control this and its not my fault that things keep going wrong. id've died 30y if id lived 30y ago, which is a bit scary.

Soph73 · 14/05/2007 14:00

Hi lissielou - have just had a look at your piccies and your son is gorgeous I know you´ve probably told everyone already but where are you going on holiday? Hope the weather´s good for you.

I know what you mean about you´d have died 30 years ago. I was also told that just after I had ds. He was an emergency cesaerean (spelling?!) because I didn´t/couldn´t dilate - so I have to keep remembering to thank my lucky stars that at least I´ve got one gorgeous son

lissielou · 14/05/2007 14:06

thats what happened to me too. dh keeps reminding me when i pester too much about ttc that i nearly died in feb.

thanks for comments about ds, he's yummy. i keep forgetting how lucy i am. we are off to presthaven in wales on fri so lots of visits to rhyl etc. im soooo excited!

Soph73 · 14/05/2007 14:56

Very nice. We´ve got another 7 weeks until we´re on holiday (when school breaks up). We don´t go back to England during the summer hols as flights are really expensive for the 3 of us and we have to visit family up north and down south so it gets a bit much financially. We always have a week on the south of this island where we stay in an apartment with it´s own pool and just veg out - very relaxing. We normally get a visit from someone though, don´t know who it´s going to be this year yet!

My mum had exactly the same problem when she had me and my brother .... thanks mum it must run in the family!

lissielou · 14/05/2007 15:36

just seen your profile. gran canaria? lovely! id never leave! whereabouts are you?

Soph73 · 14/05/2007 16:00

We have no intention of leaving - not until we retire anyway We used to live in the capital city Las Palmas, but we bought a house in Arinaga last year which is about 10 minutes south of the airport, so the weather is a bit nicer and it´s lovely and quiet where we are. Just what we needed after living practially on top of the motorway!!

lissielou · 14/05/2007 16:04

sounds idyllic. how long have you lived there?

plummymummy · 14/05/2007 16:11

Hi all Here's an update: no spotting so far. Did test at work (neg). Body feels strange - butterflies feeling in my stomach. Probably nerves. No cramps. Felt a trickle (sorry if tmi)a few times today and rushed to toilet to knicker watch but it was nothing. Guess it's a waiting game. Will test fmu tomorrow. Of course, it could be that the painters are coming late this month - that would be typical but obviously I am still hoping for a bpf to make me . Bluebell on 2 week wait thread got a bfp today 4 days before her period due (with clear blue) V pleased for her (though don't really know her). I haven't been calm at all but I've been trying my best to distract myself (un-successfully most of the time) Hope you have a great holiday Lissie. Would be nice if you conceived whilst away - lots of women do. Glad you and dh are close Scorpio and fwiw I think you have been wise to have kids young as it can be harder to juggle children and work when you are older because women tend to be more established in their careers when they are older. Hope everyone is ok and sorry if I missed anyone out - rather distracted at the mo.

Soph73 · 14/05/2007 16:13

Not always idyllic as we still have to work , pay bills, etc. We´ve been here 7 years now - got married out here and ds was born here.

Soph73 · 14/05/2007 16:14

Plummy - send HUGE positive vibes your way

Soph73 · 14/05/2007 16:14

Sorry - should be "sending"

sweetkitty · 14/05/2007 16:15

scorpio - what age are your DCs and what do you have again (too lazy to read all this thread), I have a 2.10yo and a 16 mo so you would think I had enough to do without thinking about number 3, sometimes I think I am tempting fate after 2 healthy DDs and I should be happy with what I have, I just hope all thoughts of brrodiness and babies goes once DB is here and I will feel my family is complete. I agree with you completely re the holiday/car/financial thing of having more thatn 3 though.

soph - will you stop making me of where you live although today has been quite nice here and we've been out in the garden for a bit. I don't think men ever understand the obsession we have when ttc.

lissielou - have a great hol maybe it's what you need to relax and let the baby dust do it's magic, can't believe your story about almost dying eek that's scary.

bobbydazzler - hi sorry about your FTC last month welcome and loads of baby dust to you too
hi to anyone else I've missed as well

Soph73 · 14/05/2007 16:21

Sweetkitty - sorry about that, sometimes I just can´t help bragging You´re definately right about men not understanding. Might try pouncing on him in the mornings - although I´m not really a morning person

plummymummy · 14/05/2007 16:21

Thank you Soph Forgot to say thanks to everyone for all your support - it is so uplifting How old are you Soph? I didn't mean it's a doddle being young and having kids, by the way. As if! It's no picnic either way. I have colleagues at work who had theirs young and now they can get on with their careers and have time to themselves and it seems more logical and makes me a little envious at times, but there was no way I was ready for kids before I had them. I also realise that some women want to get their careers established before having kids - which is fine too. Each to their own. Oh and of course one has to actually meet a man they want to have kids with and that is not time specific Anyway, enough waffling (see, I am losing it)

sweetkitty · 14/05/2007 16:23

aww plummy will keep everything (well not everything ) crossed for you, this is my first time on a ttc thread and it is quite exciting isn't it? It's quite weird going through the ups and downs of ttc with complete strangers and really willing them on to get a bfp when most of the time no one in RL knows you're ttc.

plummymummy · 14/05/2007 16:25

Yes it is weird - it's so nice when other women get a bfp on here as it softens the blow when yrs is a negative. The same magnanimous attitude does not extend to RL though
