OP posts:
wheelybug · 10/05/2007 09:47

oops - think I missed a P off the start... sorry Plummy.

snowgirl · 10/05/2007 09:50

Thanks plummymummy.
I wil indeed stick around for support!(although have broadband issues so will be sporadic!!)
I did indeed get pg straight away first time round. I've been thrown recently because my dh told his dermatologist that we were ttc and the derm guy asked how old I was. When he said 36, the doctor said immediately, 'oh, you need to get fertility treatment straight away'. I know he's not a gyne but the fact that a medical type is saying this has really thrown me.
What is pre-seed??

PinkElephant · 10/05/2007 09:51

Throwing a scattering of babydust over each and everyone of you

Thanks for all your congratulations. I'm petrified this will go wrong too...

Had a bit of brown spotting...

plummymummy · 10/05/2007 10:23

could it be implantation bleeding?

MrsMcJnr · 10/05/2007 10:29

Mumto3girls ? of course I remember you! many congratulations!!!! Hope we can be on the ANs together!! Could well be implantation, try not to worry too much but do let your GP know when you see him/her.

Lissie ? don?t know what to advise, maybe a chat with EPU? Hugs x

Fingers crossed PlummyMummy & Wheely

Welcome Snowgirl I hope it happens soon for you.

Thanks PinkElephant

Fancy that Anniemac

Hmmm hello ?.I am ?probably pregnant? woke up at 4am, needed a wee and thought I?d better temp too as I normally get up at 6.15, temp was still good so I rooted around in the dark for a test and did it ? there was a line not the strongest of lines but mostly definitely there. Funnily enough, I didn?t get any sleep after that. I feel numb really, I went through every emotion in the hours of lying there; as you can imagine I am very scared about the thrombophilia and the risk to the baby, I don?t have a haematology appointment yet and I don?t know what to do. I have left a message for my GP to call me about ?something important? I hope she is not too angry with me for disobeying her advice to help. I haven?t had any spotting like last time so I am reading into that that this time might be different; more fool me but what?s the harm in staying positive? I am really excited, just scared. Please can I stay awhile? Want to temp for at least another week, if it doesn?t freak me out too much.

plummymummy · 10/05/2007 10:36

OMG Mrs McJ - absolutely (but tentatively)thrilled for you . Keeping fingers crossed for you. Hope you get support you need from doctor.

goingfor3 · 10/05/2007 12:09

MrsMcJnr - I am really happy for you!!!!!!!!!!!!!! See you in due in Jan

MrsMcJnr · 10/05/2007 12:18

Thank you so much you are all so sweet to me spoke to GP and she was a bit frosty at first but said she'd contact haematologist and call me back. I'll feel much better after I've spoken/seen consultant I think

tigerschick · 10/05/2007 12:42

Wow - Congrtualtions (and fingers crossed) mumto3girls and MrsMJ. Hope everything goes well for you both.

Welcome Snowgirl I'm no expert but pre-seed is something that acts like ewcm to help the sperm swim and stay alive. (It's amazing the things you learn on here!) Good luck for this month.

Well, here's one for you ... About a month ago I had a sore, achy, right boob and shoulder blade. Just thought I'd strained my back. Now I have exactly the same feeling today. I'm sure it's a coincidence but does it sound 'familiar' to anyone? Remember, my body is crap! So it could be anything.

Scorpio - how is the law assignment going? All done?

Hope everyone else is ok.

wheelybug · 10/05/2007 13:02

Well full of excitement from MrsMc's BFP and encouraged (not that it took much) by the girls on pg after m/c I did a test.

BFN on a first response on CD30 so no one can say its too early.

Bugger.

lissielou · 10/05/2007 13:31

oh mrs mcj, im so happy for you, good luck sweetheart, everything crossed for you!

lissielou · 10/05/2007 13:37

wheely sorry hun!

Soph73 · 10/05/2007 13:46

Hi all. I can´t believed I´ve missed so much in less than 24 hours! HUGE congratulations mumto3 and MrsMcJ. Don´t stray too far oh font of all knowledge
Unfortunately AF has definately arrived now so am not sure whether to class this as CD1 or CD3.

MrsMcJ - in regard to Spanish births it is completely different over here. I had to have an emergency c section and you´re knocked out completely and poor DH was left pacing the waiting room along with all the other 1st time Dads! If you have a natural childbirth your husband can be with you but there is no choice in how you give birth - no water pools and whale music for us over here!!!! However, the maternity hospital itself was spotless and everyone was exceptionally helpful. Even the mothers of the other ladies in the hospital helped me out because they knew I didn´t have any family out here at the time. Bear in mind though they are becoming more "with it" as time goes on, they just believe that men get in the way when it comes to childbirth and can be more of a hindrance than a help!!

bobbydazzler - I know how you feel I´m also feeling very and had a good old cry last night, especially as DH seems to be completely oblivious to the fact that it only took us 6 months to conceive DS and now we´re into the 7th month ttc - bloody men!

McDreamy - I´m with you I´m completely obsessed with Gray´s Anatomy. It was on last night - brill!

Snowgirl - hi there, welcome and good luck

Wheelybug - keep and be positive am sending HUGE positive vibes to everyone

scorpio - how was the assignment?

Will pop off for now. May not be back as my computer is having a bad internet day today!

plummymummy · 10/05/2007 14:11

Sorry wheely. Maybe try fmu tomorrow?

snowgirl · 10/05/2007 15:08

Thanks for all welcomes. And it's really nice to know that there's others going through the same lots of people are doing but not talking about, if you know what I mean!
Big congrats to pregnant and 'probably pregnant' people.
Will now go home and drink lots of grapefruit juice and order pre-seed and gear myself up for next month...!

Afternoon all wow this thread really does move so fast, I know feel I'm a fraud being on here as I will be doing my first test in June should I be on the ttc June thread instead? is there one?

huge congratulations to mumto3girls and MrsMcJ fingers and everything crossed for lovely stress free pregnancies for you both

wheelybug - so sorry to hear about your BFN

soph - sorry to hear it was AF after all, still I think your on CD3 with me so we can be cycle buddies after all

snowgirl - welcome and loads of luck to you

I'm a bit about ttc this month if we do get a BFP I will be due in Feb which isn't the best month for us as up here in Scotland the school year runs from March to Feb so having a Feb birthday means DBTB would be the youngest in the year which could be a disadvantage, also means they get one year of nursery as opposed to two. Also I would be heavily pregnant over Christmas and for DD2's 2nd birthday in January BUT on the otherhand you don't really get to chose these things and a healthy baby is all that matters regardless of when it's born (if that makes any sense I don't know I tend to ramble on a bit).

snowgirl · 10/05/2007 15:18

God, that really didn't make any sense did it... It's been a long day.
What I meant to say was...how nice it is to feel like I have company. Ttc seems to be something that not a lot of people really talk about when they're doing it and so sometimes you feel a bit alone in your sadness, worriedness, waitingness, etc..
There. That's better...

McDreamy · 10/05/2007 15:19

Hmmmm still need to consider having sex with DH to have any chance of a BFP!!

snowgirl · 10/05/2007 15:20

Than you anniemac. That gives me one more month of trying...

Soph73 · 10/05/2007 15:22

sweetkitty - good to know I´ve got a cycle buddy You also ramble as much as I do

snowgirl - I know what you mean

Anyway, have to go for today as got to pick DS up from swimming. See you all tomorrow and hopefully I´ll be able to keep up if my computer´s being helpful!!

Bye for now.
