Wow @Bubble04 that sounds awful. I'm really sorry about that. Thankfully mine aren't that bad.

Fia256 · 30/08/2017 13:04

@pixie this sounds similar to my implantation this month!

8dpo I wiped and got one tiny bit of brown tinged cm. thought of great spotting is starting before AF. Didn't get anything else after that at all
Then that evening lying in bed I got a pinchy burny type feeling in lower right side of tummy. Bfn the next morning at 9dpo. Same pains in tummy that evening. Tested the next day in the afternoon and got my bfp xx

pixielove123 · 30/08/2017 13:15

@Fia256 really crossing everything I got for that BFP. I'm 12dpo. Will definitely test tomorrow and pray for a BFP! I did read somewhere that it can take a day or two after implantation for the HCG levels to be high enough to give a BFP!

vitadolce2015 · 30/08/2017 13:27

Does anyone else get a big hormone crash post OV ?? I'm cd16 and out of nowhere I feel totally rubbish today. Really tired and down 😞 wondering if it's hormonal...feels like it is. I've never really thought about it before but am much more in touch with my cycle now for obvious reasons.

NimbleKnitter · 30/08/2017 13:32

@vitadolce2015 I get ovulation sickness from the progesterone surge - makes me vomit and feel light headed.

Your hormones surge with ovulation, so it could well be that

vitadolce2015 · 30/08/2017 13:40

Mmmm thanks @NimbleKnitter .. I'm sure it is hormonal. I'm pretty sure I ovd yesterday or day before so maybe estrogen drop is the culprit 🙄

NimbleKnitter · 30/08/2017 13:40

On a related note - progesterone makes me a truly horrible person.

I'm so irritable. Breasts hurt all the goddamn time.

I know moaning here doesn't help, but right now, there'd be a silver lining to having a period (until next month)

AlexsMum89 · 30/08/2017 14:35

I didn't quite make it to September on the bus, but here we are! 😊

I'll start the Oct bus tonight if no one else has as I'm out. But can anyone recommend which thermometer to use? I'll start temping this month.
Also, I've seen people mention acupuncture during ivf. Has anyone had this when ttc naturally? What point would you get it?

Mrsjones17 · 30/08/2017 15:59

@juneybean you're quite good at temping aren't you? Does it matter what time you do it as long as when you first get up or does it have to be same time every day?

NimbleKnitter · 30/08/2017 16:21

So I use natural cycles for temping and have also started using FF.

Both have a different temping parameters.

NC doesn't require you to temp at the same time, but you do need to have slept for at least 4 hours, and you should disregard your temp if you've slept for more or less than 2 hours of your normal sleeping pattern (i.e. if you have a lie in, or if you go to bed late).

It also disregards your temp if you're hungover or ill.

FF says same time every day. If it's not the same time, it's ok, but it just makes the result slightly less reliable.

But as long as you're relatively consistent it should be ok - it's not a precise science, it's about identifying trends

Janefx40 · 30/08/2017 16:21

@AlexsMum89 wow! So exciting. Congratulations. How many days past ov are you out of interest?

And you thought you were being nuts thinking those tummy pains were a bfp!

Hooray hooray hooray! X

pixielove123 · 30/08/2017 16:28

@AlexsMum89 yay yay. Congrats!!! Such fabulous news. Bring on more BFP!

passmethewine123 · 30/08/2017 17:12

Awww yay @AlexsMum89 a bfp!!! Lovely to see Smile what were your symptoms if you had any?

juneybean · 30/08/2017 17:18

@Mrsjones17 It's more consistent if you do it at the same time each day, so I tend to set a silent alarm for 4.30am and take it then every day. Your temp regardless of how long you've been asleep rises as time goes by, so if you took it at 5.30am one day and 7.30 the next it's naturally going to be higher and could skew your results! Hope that helps Grin

@HolyShmoly I use this one but I imagine you can get it cheaper elsewhere....as long as it's to two decimal places!
