I'm nervous/excited Grin

AF due anywhere between Tuesday and Friday.. All being well and she doesn't show, I'll probably test next Saturday or Sunday.

Anyone else counting down the next week?

Ladies can I join you to get through the last few days please? Literally losing the will atm!

I'm due Thurs but if af doesn't show then I want hold off until Sat. I was so sure this was the month I did actually test yesterday eve and got a bfn. I'm telling myself that it's because I drank loads of water and only held it for about an hour.... It's amazing how I can convince myself.

Happybus - I'm a spotter too - I think we've chatted before. Mine usually goes from 8/9dpo to 15dpo gradually getting heavier until af appears. It started at 5dpo this month but it has stopped today.

Florence16 · 18/07/2017 16:51

Can I join in too? Pretty sure I'll be in for a BFN. AF due Saturday, friend coming to stay for the weekend too. First month off the pill as well so who knows what I'm in for. Worried about painful periods!

Symptom wise I am pretty sure mine is related to coming off the pill, my skin has gone all shiny and I have one or two spots in really random places like my forehead and top lip! My libido has completely died since the end of my fertile window too. Don't want DH anywhere near me haha, so bizarre. Hope he's not taking it personally!

This sounds really ridiculous, but I'm already thinking about how, if it doesn't work out pretty fast. we would potentially have summer babies. I hate summer! I don't do well in the heat. And my SIL is a teacher and says summer babies often find school a bit harder (hers are September born). I should just forget these things and crack on, whatever will be will be, won't I?

happybus28 · 18/07/2017 16:59

babies exciting! Keep me posted if you decide to test! I take the clomid from day 2 to day 6 of my cycle and I have been given enough for 6 cycle so so 5 more if this one is unsuccessful.

Hi betsy you are doing well holding off until Saturday!! The spotting is rubbish isn't it...it's eased off now so fingers crossed it stays that way!

Betsyboo87 · 18/07/2017 17:04

Happybus I just can't cope with seeing that stark white again! In reality I might not get that far but I'm hoping you will all help me to stay strong. Spotting sucks! I've been on constant knicker watch all day and my colleagues must think I have a UTI!

Florence I'm a summer baby and I always swore I would never have one because I hated having to wait so much longer to learn to drive and for ID! However now I've been ttc for a while I would take any date of birth!

shortcake76 · 18/07/2017 18:50

Hi ladies, still spotting here but more stringy. It's been on and off all day. I'm on day 41 today, but given longer cycles this is normal. Actually have a GP appointment Thursday as been ttc for over a year and I'm 40.

shortcake76 · 18/07/2017 18:51

Florence I came off the pill and my periods really haven't been any different, certainly not painful.

happybus28 · 18/07/2017 19:12

Hi florence my periods themselves haven't been too at all since coming off the pill, my issues are that I haven't been having them! Me and DH are both summer babies and I think I'm a ideal world we would avoid it but like betsy I've been TTC so long now I'm past caring! Millions of people are born in the summer months, I wouldn't worry about it Smile

Hope you get on okay at the docs shortcake the first thing they did for me was blood tests and a ultrasound followed by a referral to the fertility clinic.

Betsyboo87 · 18/07/2017 21:55

IWent out for dinner and so nearly stopped at the supermarket to grab a test on the way home but talked myself out of it on the roundabout.

Zero spotting for me today which has never happened but still feeling totally bummed after my bfn yesterday (12dpo).

happybus28 · 19/07/2017 06:52

We'll just to add more mystery to my symptoms I woke up at 1 am with really really strong period cramps. Much much stronger than I've had at any point the last few days. I honestly went to the loo expecting full blown AF the way it felt but nothing....not even spotting. It lasted about 20 mins then I managed to fall back to sleep. I'm wide awake now on my day off which is annoying!! Been back to the loo and still no spotting and cramps back to being faint twinges as they have been all week. I am sooooo confused!!! 9 dpo today!

Florence16 · 19/07/2017 06:52

Thanks all, really hoping to not have painful periods! That's largely why I went on the pill again a couple of years ago, but weirdly my withdrawal bleed after only one pack of the pill was so much better than one after three packs back to back which was what my GP had advised saying it would make no difference Hmm glad to hear lots of summer babies who don't think it's an issue, think SIL got me thinking she knows best being a teacher..!

Hope the GP goes OK Shortcake. Betsyboo I've gone the Mumsnet Classic and bought loads online, does not help with stopping the fixation of POAS!! I just know I'm not pregnant too, so there is really no point in me even doing it. Ho hum...

BabiesOnTheBrain1 · 19/07/2017 06:53

@Betsyboo87 and @Florence16 hello ladies! Glad to see there's a few of us Smile

Well I caved last night. Went and got a Tesco test (they had no FRER and only blue dye tests which I didn't really want) and did it late when I got home, and it was a BFN! Still no sign of AF but feel a bit 'heavy' today if that makes sense? Will leave it a couple more days I think, and if she still doesn't show up I'll get a first response.

How are you all feeling today?

OP posts:
BabiesOnTheBrain1 · 19/07/2017 06:54

@happybus28 implantation!?

OP posts:
happybus28 · 19/07/2017 07:13

Sorry about your BFN babies hope it was just too early especially if you didn't use FMU. Have you any other symptoms apart from your full feeling?

I'm trying not to get my hopes up that it was something to do with implantation but it's all I can think about! Our bodies are weird and wonderful things! At least it's Wednesday so half way through the week now!

BabiesOnTheBrain1 · 19/07/2017 07:24

I was disappointed, think I'll leave it until Friday morning now Smile
Had a couple of cramps last night (shortly after doing the test ironically Grin) and assumed I'd wake up to AF so was a surprise when I didn't.

Yes that sounds like implantation to me! I had some very sharp cramps/pains a week or so ago, your post just reminded me, and when I did a google it mentioned implantation. Oh I do hope that's what it is for you! Is it the first time you've had anything like that at this point in your cycle?

OP posts:
happybus28 · 19/07/2017 08:20

Good news that AF hasn't arrived though! You aren't out the running yet!

I've tried not to google too much this time as I always end up reading positive things and getting my hopes up! I've just looked back through Ovia at the symptoms I've logged previous months, i have logged cramping at this point previously but not as much as this month. Not really sure if that means anything though! I am pleased about the absence of spotting this morning, I've had it first thing in the morning the past 3 days but none today! Hope that's a good sign!

shortcake76 · 19/07/2017 08:36

Morning all,

Sorry I am relatively new to these forums and I can't always work out what the abbreviations mean?
dpo (days post ovulation)??
FRER ???
AIBU ???

Is somebody testing today???

Well, spotting seems to have now stopped - no brown discharge and back to normal. Few twinges, but no sign of AF. Beginning to get sick of this - just want to know now!

So, when I go to the GP tomorrow what can I expect? Is he likely to need to do an examination - just asking as will need to make sure all is in order with freshly shaved legs etc!! Haha

xx

Littlemisssugarplum88 · 19/07/2017 09:05

Hi ladies, may I join in? Smile

I've just caught up with all of your posts and I'm wishing you all the best of luck.

Shortcake76; aibu - am I being unreasonable?
Frer - first response early response (a pink dye pregnancy test).

I'm currently cd 26 of a 31 day cycle. I'd used the clearblue digital ovulation test this month and it showed I ovulated a day or two later than I would normally. This month I had the solid smiley face between cd17-19. I've been up all night with sickness and my stomach still feels off now and I don't normally suffer with sickness but I suppose it's too early for sickness to set in?!

Hoping to hold out until Monday before I test

Xxx

happybus28 · 19/07/2017 09:18

shortcake I wasn't examined at my GP appointment but I was at my first appointment at the fertility clinic. GP just asked a few questions about my cycle etc and sent me for blood tests. My bloods showed I have a higher than normal LH level and it doesn't always surge which is why I don't ovulate every month. I had a ultrasound scan to check for PCOS and a another procedure called a hycosy to check my tubes weren't blocked before I was given a prescription for clomid. Took 6 months to go through all that, first went to GP early Jan and this is my 1st clomid cycle. Hope that helps!

Hi littlemiss might possibly be a little early for sickness but you never know!! Everyone's different! FX for you! Do you think you'll manage to hold out until Monday? I'm trying to hold off until Sat, AF due Mon.

shortcake76 · 19/07/2017 09:23

Thank you!! That makes sense now re the abbreviations.

Well my friend at work who has 3 kids said her morning sickness started virtually straight away, so you never know!!

I've decided to test Saturday morning, first thing. That will be cd 45, although last month I went up to 48 days.

I've also had the odd foot and calf cramping going on too, but I think that really is reading too much into things!

shortcake76 · 19/07/2017 09:24

Thanks happybus - well blood tests are a start, I suppose. I am looking into private options to have the AMH test done.

We're all going to be nervous wrecks come the weekend!!

Littlemisssugarplum88 · 19/07/2017 09:33

I had a mmc at 11 weeks the week before Xmas and I had no pregnancy symptoms apart from dizziness now and again, and then obviously I had no signs or symptoms at all for the mc until I had a scan and I was told it had died 4 weeks before Sad..I know they say every pregnancy is different but I've no idea if sickness could be a sign already at 8dpo Confused Probably just my body playing tricks on me.

That's reassuring shortcake that your friend had sickness really early on, I guess only time will tell.

Happy, I've just ordered a couple of frer so I'll probably end up testing over the weekend too lol I get too impatient 🙈

shortcake76 · 19/07/2017 10:12

Here is where I bow out... sadly AF has just arrived so I won't be testing this weekend as not pregnant :-( Gutted

We've been ttc since May 2016. Feeling a bit despondent and like it's never going to happen.

Are you using any apps etc that I should be aware of? Or can you recommend any good sites?

Good luck to you all - I'll keep my eye on this post xx

Littlemisssugarplum88 · 19/07/2017 10:16

I'm sorry to hear AF had arrived shortcake, it really is so frustrating isn't it. Don't give up hope just yet, I'd been ttc for 2 years before my mc and I was convinced I'd never get pregnant.
Fingers crossed we all get our little miracle soon xx

happybus28 · 19/07/2017 10:54

Aw I'm sorry shortcake it's so frustrating, I have been trying similar length of time to you so I completely understand how you feel. I use a app called ovia for tracking my cycles and logging info. It's quite good and easy to use to keep track of where you are up too.

Let us know how you get on at the doctors tomorrow x

shortcake76 · 19/07/2017 13:01

Will do and keep me posted re all of your test results!

Ah well, another month closer to a September baby!
