Come and join me in this new thread. I want a least one graduate per week and no ttcing to take longer than two months for everyone here!!

Seabird, both our first ds's are 17 weeks apart so maybe I have had to wait for her to get pregnant before I will. She is already 3 months so I have to wait for af to turn up (am still spotting but temps are low, wish af would hurry up) and then get down to business again. I have gone through so many people getting pregnant in the last year so am quite emotionally prepared but always hard when it is your best friend and she has got pregnant first month.

Staceyk · 17/07/2004 12:50

Morning all, currently on CD54 !! Trying to hold off testing til CD64 if no AF. Trying to tell myself, forget about it, obviously not pg no signs, and docs say highly unlikely, but you can't help wishing, and as my cycle every 2 months, it's a very long hard wait.
Good luck to all.
Welcome to all newcomers

bluestar · 17/07/2004 14:15

Sorry for those with af we must hold onto the hope that it will happen. After my best friend announcing last week, my hairdresser announced this week. A few of her clients have fallen pregnant recently so maybe her's is the lucky chair!

I only take starflower oil up to ovulation too. I've also bought some 'proper' conception/pregnancy vitamins in the hope that it will boost my system.

One week today and I can start OPKing again. Looking forward to it but am planning on getting a few practice sessions in before then in case ovulation comes early.

Happy bding everyone!

BeckiF · 17/07/2004 15:30

CD274 ... which means in theory that it's been that long since my last AF I could of have a baby in this time!!

Trying to stay positive and think about IVF ....

Staceyk · 17/07/2004 15:40

Hi Beckif, How are you finding the Metformin? are you still trying with it?
Is there nothing else to try before IVF? I have heard of injections etc to try, or ovary drilling?

TanyH · 17/07/2004 15:57

Hello - a positive IVF experience - it does work. It's a long and arduous journey - I know how hard it is - we now have a 4 month old baby boy. Thinking of all of you out there. I was of all mums with babies and can't believe that I'm now a mum. A miracle.

BeckiF · 17/07/2004 17:44

Hi Stacey, I'm still sticking with the one a day and my tummy has settled at last! Next week I will go up to 2 a day! They won't do anything more other than IVF because of my age and the fact the dp had a reversal and his count is lower than normal. They would of done the Clomind etc first of all, but think this is the best option. At the back of my mind is the hope that we WILL acheive naturally.

Oh and here's a story for you! Had a friend round last nihgt and he was telling us that his friend's wife is expecting QUADS naturally conceived! Blimey!!!

xoz · 17/07/2004 17:49

natural quads!!!! The idea of twins is scary enough. Imagine that...

Staceyk · 17/07/2004 18:26

Quads ouch! Beckif sorry I forgot your other problems which is why I started personal stats thread! I'm useless. Well done you for sticking with Metformin, I know it's not easy, but it can't hurt to try, until your IVF dates comes up. I too wish that you could conceive naturally, (maybe not quads) but anyway, best of luck, keep up the updates

Canadianmom · 17/07/2004 18:34

May I join you as a ttgather-the-courage-to-ttc? Have been lurking and eavesdropping so thought I ought to post.

BeckiF · 17/07/2004 19:23

IVF is just waiting for US! TAlked to dp this afternoon and he says he'd like to wait just a couple more months to get his business up and running but he says that if I want to try now then he'll back me because he's as keen as I am! Love him! He couldn't be more honest, could he?! I think that come September/October time we'll have a go (I hope!)

Seabird · 17/07/2004 19:56

Welcome Canadianmom . How's things?

Bibi20 · 17/07/2004 20:02

Hello!

Have just posted on personal stats page...I'm on cd29, 9 dpo, ttc no.1.

Don't feel at all pregnant (although quietly obsessing about every twinge) so expecting af in next few days...

Love surfing mumsnet - very comforting and hugely informative - although not so good for my productivity and as I'm self employed this is an issue!

Wishing everyone lots of luck and baby dust...

Tex111 · 18/07/2004 09:04

Hi Canadianmom, good to see you.

Sorry about AF Azure but hope you had a wonderful time at the wedding.

Still just waiting for a temp drop here. I think this is the first time I've desperately been waiting for AF to arrive since I was about 20. Funny how all those years of being terrified of getting pregnant, afraid that it could happen so easily, turn around on you!

Azure · 18/07/2004 11:31

Hello and welcome Bibi20. Let's hope your stay on this thread is short (meant in the nicest possible way ).

bluestar · 18/07/2004 11:43

AF turned up last night . 2 days earlier than expected and a luteal phase of 11 days. Oh well, hopefully I'll make the April board!

Welcome Bibi20

mrsflowerpot · 18/07/2004 11:55

sorry to hear that bluestar.

Welcome Bibi20, hope you're not here too long! if you know what I mean.

Azure · 18/07/2004 12:12

Sorry to hear about AF Bluestar . Let's hope that next month is your lucky month.

Cyndii · 18/07/2004 13:55

mrsflowerpot, xoz & bluestar ~ so sorry to hear that af arrived better luck next time!!

Welcome Bibizo & lots of baby dust!!

My af due next Monday 19th so fingers crossed I keep trying to convince myself that if I do get af that it's so big deal. Even though I don't think I will be preg this month I can't help but convince myself that just that little glimmer of hope that I just might be!

Fingers crossed for all of us!!

aku · 18/07/2004 17:11

I wonder if anybody can help. My period was due yesterday and since then I have had stomach cramps but no sign of period. I had to leave work early yesterday and was sick on the way.

I had a misscarriage in Mayand have since had a period which Is why I know one is due now but all this cramping and nothing what could they mean?

Moomin · 18/07/2004 17:21

You can get period-like cramping when your period would have been due if you are pg. The only know you'll know for sure though is to do a test. At least it will show up nice and clear now if it's positive. Good luck. x

Went to see the baby doctor today and he's prescribed clomid to start 2 days into my next period which is due 27th July. ooh how exciting!

lostinparis · 18/07/2004 17:23

I understand that sometimes pregnant women have AF-like cramps when their AF would otherwise have been due.

Cyndii · 18/07/2004 17:34

Good luck aku! Hope the pain subsides.

Let's just say if I were pregnant (due af Mon 19th) ~ wuold I have any early signs that I would be???? I know I'm starting to count my chickens before they hatch again this month but it's just that it's constantly on my mind!!

aku · 18/07/2004 17:47

Thanks, I will do a test by the end of the week or tomorrow morning if I am brave enough

bluestar · 18/07/2004 18:01

Cyndii, most people I know have not necessarily had symptoms as such but a feeling that they are pregnant. TBH, both pregnancies I have had (1 ds, 1 mc) I knew I was. Every month that I have not been pregnant (and there have been a fair few) deep down, I know that af will come eventually. I do believe that you get an instinct. With ds, the pregnancy test was negative day af was due but I wasn't upset as I knew that I was. A week later the test was positive. Good luck, hope it's your month. We need a graduate for next week!
