Bfn this morning but reading the instructions on the back of the box, I shouldn't be testing until Thursday anyway so hopefully it will change...

weasledee · 16/05/2017 09:05

Congratulations @weasledee

Really enjoyed the reflexology @littlemimosa But feel exhausted and headache today which the therapist said may happen

Viletta · 16/05/2017 14:47

Hi ladies, went to a GP who said that most likely the issue is on the side of DH or just bad luck.
Cycle 7 now (+more than a year in total trying naturally without thinking about fertile window).
Will wait for a spermiogram appointment .. hope it is indeed just a bad luck! Meanwhile DH got motivated to get healthier.. will try to reduce caffeine, cigarettes and alcohol! I'm cycle day 11, will try to DTD everyday or every other day for the next 10 days!

Good luck and let us all have our BFP asap!!

BlueSkies87 · 16/05/2017 18:11

Hey ladies. So, having been awol for quite a long time I am definitely going to need to do some catch-up reading! DH and I are taking a bit of a break from TTC this month. Hope you are all well and look forward to reading all of the posts that have gone up over the past week or so Smile

plaintomatopasta · 16/05/2017 19:56

So... I have a job interview on Thursday with the potential to start in July or September if it goes well... should I stop ttc so we know I'll be fine and not pregnant so therefore ok to start work OR keep going because it hasn't worked for the last two years so why should it now?

I'm just worried that fate will kick me up the bum and decide now is the time. Whilst I'd adore the fact that we were having another baby it would mean I wouldn't be able to take my new job 😐 thoughts ladies...

lisara79 · 16/05/2017 20:27

ooh... plain, that is a dilemma... I think it's just a matter of priorities... if waiting a few more months is ok, then focus on the job... you'd have to wait a little while to get maternity cover... if it's more important to get pregnant that the job then go for it... maybe taking a short break might take some pressure off anyway.... I had to put off ttc for a little while due to an operation and did consider not trying this month as I have a holiday booked at the end of June... my problem is my age however... I'm 37 so time is tighter and so decided to ttc anyway but a job is a bigger opportunity... when would you know about the job?

OP posts:
plaintomatopasta · 16/05/2017 21:40

@lisara79 I would know about the job on Thursday. It's a teaching job so they tell you right at he end 😬 if I was to get maternity leave it means I can conceive in September and qualify as a would begin work at the start of the month and conceive I. The middle according to my cycle. Ideally conceiving in October would be better so I can teach the year and my maternity leave would start when it was holidays anyway. Even better would be if I had a baby the following November so when my maternity finishes it's July and I have six weeks off only ha one to do my return days!

A job is more important SLIGHTLY at this current time as it means I can move house and don't have to rely on OH as that's a bit rocky and having freedom would be better. After me leaving all weekend he has agreed to come to see someone about the relationship and how he can be more open. A new job would solve the money issues too which is a bit of an argument trigger. If I fell at the "wrong" time (and babies have a habit of that) I wouldn't be upset because after two years we would be so happy but if it times itself well we would be even happier.

The only issue with stopping is we are going through fertility testing and we are meant to keep trying throughout. It's soooooo hard to decide what's best!

lisara79 · 16/05/2017 22:08

plain... I'd go for the job and just get back to ttc in August/September... you've been trying for two years, just don't tell the fertility doctors, at this point you'd have nothing to feel guilty for and I bet there's a wait...

Rhi, drink lots of water for the headache after your treatment.

Congrats weaseldee!!!!!! Great to see a bfp on here :)

lisara79 · 17/05/2017 01:04

what cycle day is everyone on? we all started at the same sort of point in our cycles but with different cycle lengths... we are now all over the place... I'm CD 15 now... ovulation day! The ttw starts here for me!

Bfn again this morning - feeling really disheartened...

Frustratingly I have so many symptoms and dh is now talking phantom pregnancy, which is scaring the life out of me

I just want it to be tomorrow now so I can test again, just in case!

RhiBee29 · 17/05/2017 07:15

CD7 here due to AF being a week late, starting OPK on Saturday with internet cheapies, clearblue opk ordered from Amazon but ETA is CD13.

Shredtheevidence · 17/05/2017 07:23

Congratulations weasledee!!!

Plain - good luck whatever you decide. I'd probably go to the interview as that way I would know if I had to make an informed decision rather than worrying about the what ifs.

Lisara I am CD 18 and am hoping I will ov soon but it could be another week depending on what my cycle does. Started tracking bbt this month but it's not really working with a toddler who can wake me up at any time of the morning. Think I am going to have to rely on opks and cm as my app is using temp to tell me that I have already ov'd which I haven't!

Purplepjs · 17/05/2017 07:35

Morning all.

Congrats weasledee!!!! Amazing news.
Melody...sorry you have bfn at the moment. What day of your cycle are you on now?
I'm in dpo 11 and increasingly paranoid!!! I keep flipping between being convinced I'm about to get AF and convinced I'm pregnant. I hate this bit!

Hope you're all ok this morning. 🙂

plaintomatopasta · 17/05/2017 07:51

@Shredtheevidence bbt is really hard with a toddler. You're meant to do it at the same time each day but my small person wakes up anywhere between 4am and 8am so it's a big window. Plus the 8am wake up is a night full of other waking up times so I'm not getting more than a few hours sleep anyway. It's a delicate method and hard to do unless you're childless or have older children who sleep better.

I am going to the interview regardless. I'll hopefully have more interviews coming up too as I applied for 9 different jobs. I think it was more a case of IF I got a job should we be super careful and just quit ttc till it's safe or keep going because it hasn't happened yet so for three months at least I'll be happier about af because it wouldn't be ideal (it would also be bloody fantastic though).

Hope everyone is doing ok this morning. I am doing a thing where I am saying one thing everyday that I'm thankful for. Today I am thankful that I have people to talk to about my pointless issues who don't judge and don't think they are pointless xxx

Hi Purplepjs

I'm 13 dpo

Af due Monday so still clinging onto a bit of hope...

Doesn't help that 2 people I work with are pregnant - I'm so pleased for them but it's still painful at the same time if that makes sense...?

plaintomatopasta · 17/05/2017 08:16

@Melodypond17 well they're just smug! Of course you're happy from them because you're nice... but it doesn't stop the feeling of it not being fair! My friend fell pg about eight weeks ago and was all about how she had been trying for two months and was so relieved. I feel happy for her but think two months isn't quite as disappointing as two years... Another friend found out a couple of weeks ago she's having a boy and hasn't stopped crying yet because it's not fair and all she wants is a girl. She fell accidentally too so I can't help thinking that six months ago she was all about how kids are gross and boring. A one night stand later she's pg and wishing she'd had a termination!

You'll get your moment of excitement and it'll all be worth the wait.

On another note I have an embarrassing itch... our drs aren't open till Monday so should I take a risk that it's just thrush?

Shredtheevidence · 17/05/2017 09:42

I am taking heart from the fact that, although not positive yet my opk got darker than the last few days. Hopefully it will happen sooner than 'some time in the next 10 days' which is what I am currently working on
