Hippychic79 · 11/04/2017 12:55

So we are rolling on to thread #five –
We are not giving up, our PMA is still alive.

Put pure and simply,
We want to have babies,
God, please help everyone of these lovely ladies.

We support each other,
We are funny and kind,
And we will not be giving up,
Until we see that thick BFP line.

Completely normal. I don't feel any different to not being pregnant (long may it continue)!

Just to offer hope to people who have tested and got BFN I did two last week that came up negative and have only got a positive now so you are definitely still in the running. DH now thinks there is a slight line on one of them but I didn't see it the first time round.

ArchiesMamaBird · 02/05/2017 19:23

Soph wow wow wow congratulations! So chuffed for you Smile

Anna I went after 8 months, but told a little white lie that we'd been trying for 12 months. I had a really difficult labour and delivery with DS (long story short, we both could have died and I needed an EMCS under general anaesthetic and it was such a rush that the surgeon cut my bladder. And I was starting to worry that maybe more damage could have been done that I was unaware of and that could have been preventing me getting pregnant again)

CakesALot · 02/05/2017 19:30

Waaahhhooooo @Sophsta!! Fab news! Hope for all the early testers with a bfn too! Whoop!!

Anna2006 · 02/05/2017 19:54

@Sophsta do you know what DPO you tested negative last week? Yay for feeling normal!

@Archiesmamabird ahh I don't blame you!! I would be doing the same about that month mark if it wasn't for the fact they know I was pregnant on the system and mc in October. So unfortunately I cant tell a white lie...it's just reassuring to know all if working isn't it. But I've got until end September until I'm at my 12th cycle mark.
It's good there testing for you anyway. An fx it all comes back clear and it's just annoying time waiting xxx

Sophsta · 02/05/2017 20:06

I tested 11dpo and that was negative, can now see a faint line on 13dpo but was a real squinter and I missed it because I was in a rush! This test is 2 days past af due.

Dollydaydream2829 · 02/05/2017 21:04

Thanks everyone for the lovely wishes! It's just all so surreal. Going around, telling family we haven't already and some friends! It's amazing to get it out in the open.

Congrats sophsta - your situ has just reminded us all to keep the faith until the horrible witch arrives! You must be so ecstatic! Fingers crossed for a happy & healthy 12 week!

Oh bella - that sounds rotton! I was lucky enough not to be bothered with skin complaints and mood swings too much but my body more than made up for it with the spewing!! I thought I was over the worst of it but I projectile spewed in my hallway this morning .... #stillsoworthit

notparticularlypatient · 02/05/2017 21:23

A new graduate, congrats sophsta! Gives hope for early testers with a bfn. Hope your non-existing symptoms continue, although I guess quite a few feel them a bit more around 6weeks.

Magpie I am amazed by your pma, I hope you get your sticky bfp very soon. I do not think late ovulation need to be something to
worry about, btw. Clearly it matters whether you actually ovulate (which you clearly do given your bfp last week), but as long as you make sure to dtd in time for Peggy all should be good. My cycles are quite long, but that hasn't prevented me falling pregnant before. I got my first bfp (with ds, a long long time ago) at a point where my cycles were about eight weeks... clearly that is only my history, and not very scientific, but I think as hippy said that the biggest obstacle with ov late is that you get fewer shots conceiving in a given amount of time. I would love it if I would do something to regulate my current cycles to be shorter, as it is absolutely dragging to wait for FW (said the not particularly patient woman on cd6). I might look into acupuncture archie!

Dolly so happy for you and thrilled to see your lovely scan picture! It is such a special
day, and I really think it is the first time most partners actually understands that there is a little person in thereSmile

Hippy at the moment I am more engaged in you getting your bfp than I am in my own! I really hope this is your month! No pressure...

sarahboro1 · 02/05/2017 21:31

Sophsta congratulations!!!! 💐💕🎉👍🏻

sarahboro1 · 02/05/2017 21:34

Thanks for the advice Archies, I just want him to hurry up and book it but must remember not to nag!! 🙊

sarahboro1 · 02/05/2017 21:38

Bella 'fucking toad' !!!!! I love it!! My aim is to get that in at work this week!! here's hoping you start to bloom soon and you simply float through the rest of your pregnancy. Xx

AmandaP86x · 02/05/2017 21:54

Awwwwww @soph congrats I'm so happy for u that's amazing!!!

@dolly lovely scan pic 💙 So amazing to see. Hope ur well.

@bellaaaa yes I did then I ran out of OPKs sure lol so never actually got my static smiley. Defo think I ovulated on Friday though - I was 10/10 on Ovia app - I has hunners of CM to the extent I felt like I peed myself lol!!! DTD Friday but not since due to work etc. So basically DTD twice in my fertile week 😭 But like @hippy said it just takes one lol so fingers crossed.

I feel like this has been a pure long month for me!!!!! I am going to Spain next Thursday 11th and AF due 13th 🙁 This will defo make or break the holiday lol I have the fear thinking about it infact lol!

BellaMoon · 03/05/2017 06:27

@sarahboro1 can't lie it felt really good to get "fucking toad" out there. she was really nipping my nogging, commenting on my team update unnecessarily so she was put in her place lol. she does look like a toad as well, haha 😂

@AmandaP86x ah that's right, i remember now. well hopefully you got the heads up wee peggy was on her way and you planned the pumpage well enough. the 2ww is such an exciting time, hope peggy and doreen got on well 😁

@Dollydaydream2829 suppose i'll take a wee spot over projectile vom any day of the week. iv just entered week6 so i know it's more than likely the vom will appear in full force any day now. only had 1 ropey morning so far and i actually think that was down to overeating the night before. my appetite in the evenings is non existent #notcomplaining

@Sophsta so pleased for you chic. such amazing news. is this ttc #1 for you? (sorry i can't remember much). what was your approach last cycle? fill us in on all the usual info please #sharingiscaring

Hippychic79 · 03/05/2017 08:50

Sarahb Glad to hear you had a lovely weekend with DH and that’s great to hear that he’s agreed to get his doreen’s tested.

Moo Yeah I bet your right, you will go into labour when DH is on the golf course, lol. I think he’ll be fine with abandoning his game though.

Soph Sorry about my short post…. Wow, wow, wow, big hugs and congratulations. It’s amazing and very inspiring that your BFP was being elusive. I was wondering where you had got to, but I didn’t like to ask…. So I’m super pleased you came back with this news.

Anna Wow £40… yeah reflex is expensive but you’re right, it is so worth it, I absolutely love it but sadly can’t afford to do it weekly. My acupuncture is £15 for two sessions so £7.50 per week, but I only have 6-8 needles each week so it’s not as intense as Archies sessions. The acupuncturist just puts the needles in and then leaves me lying on the couch for 45-60 minutes. I really enjoy it though and as it’s so cheap, it would be rude not to go weekly.

Bella thank you for the #goodvibes… muchly appreciated. And loving the toad remark…. #gobellago

Patient thank you to you too for being excited for me …. Hopefully I will rise to the pressure.

Quick update from me… well I woke up at 4am this morning and clearly as DP doesn’t know I’m ttc I couldn’t really couldn’t go rooting round for my pee pot and sticks, so fmu was wasted. I then woke up at 6am and again, wasted another wee without really thinking. But having read about Soph’s elusive BFP, I’m thinking maybe I should wait a few more days …. I am 10dpo today. I did wake up at 4am with mild cramps and thought ‘oh no, she’s here’… but she’s not. FX she stays away. A few days ago I really wanted to test, but now I’m edging towards waiting…. I get all nervous about testing…. Not sure why! I will of course keep you all updated

Have a wonderful day you lovely ladies

Morning ladies Smile

9dpo here and I woke up with my usual AF type cramps and back ache so I've lost my PMA a bit but still rooting for you Hippy!

And I got cut up on the way to work this morning by an OAP couple, and had to slam my brakes on, but thought 'I'm not going to do anything, respect your elders' and all that. Then I overtook them on the dual carriageway, looked in my rear view mirror and the old lady started flipping me the V's! I was gobsmacked!! #swearinggrannycrackedmeup

Hippychic79 · 03/05/2017 09:05

archies I know your very much in tune with your body but I am very much hoping you are wrong on this occasion

Loving the mean granny story .... #respectfornotretaliating

Hippy Thank you, I'm trying not to be a major Negative Nancy, but don't want to get my hopes up too much either Grin

CakesALot · 03/05/2017 09:18

Haha the v flipping granny made me chortle!!! I kind of love that 'I'm old so I'll act how I like attitude'!! There has to be some perks to ageing 😂😂

I'm officially in the tww. Bored already

MissMagpie · 03/05/2017 09:33

Congratulations on a lovely scan pic Dolly. So exciting!

And congrats on your BFP Soph! Yay!! What are your stats and method?...

I have my fingers crossed for you Archies, Hippy et al awaiting testing. Come on BFPs!

Concerning ovulating, I ovulate late but still have a 12 day luteal phase so it shouldn't affect ttc toi much I don't think?

Hope you are feeling better soon Bella. The first few weeks are the worse.

ArchiesMamaBird · 03/05/2017 09:40

Magpie I think as long as you have a decent length luteal phase then it doesn't really matter when you OV in your cycle. Mine has always been 14 days, but it was a super short 11 days last month which was strange. I'm wondering if it was something to do with the acupuncture as it was my first time going? So 'm not 100% sure when AF BFP is due this month now Hmm

Hippychic79 · 03/05/2017 10:01

Cakes I hear ya on being bored of the 2ww.... I don't mind the first week but i find the second week drags on a bit .... hope you manage to keep yourself nice and busy ... well not too busy but enough to keep your mind off it.... is this even possible

Magpie thank you for keeping your fingers crossed ....

My LP tends to be 11-12 days I've noticed... i think as long as it's not less than 10 it's fine... anything below 10 is classified as LP defect according to Dr Google... :)

Archies I am trying to do the exact same .... stay positive but brace myself and try and stay grounded.... need to keep reminding myself that toddler tantrums are not acceptable at 38 years old! lol

I didn't do anything too differently apart from ensure we dtd about once every other day pretty much from my period to the end of fw. We were on holiday so that made it a little easier! I even went to a spa and went in the sauna so was fairly lax in general (and even had a drink or two, oops!).

In hindsight I tested too early which made me feel really down so in hindsight I would leave testing until after af is due. I also had zero symptoms so don't worry if you're feeling nothing! I still have nothing, not even sore boobs.

Hippychic79 · 03/05/2017 11:44

soph thanks for your update .... i have to say it's one of my favourites .... I love the fact you just relaxed, I love the fact that your bfn turned into a bfp (clearly the best bit) and I love the fact you have no symptoms ..... #thereishopeforeveryone

Anna2006 · 03/05/2017 11:47

Yeh I had 11-12 LP as well. Seems quite common for lots of ladies an that length is fine! Like Hippy said 10 and under is considered maybe an issue.

Had my appointment with nurse today who said my bloods were fine (which I knew already) but wouldn't refer me for a scan as said it wasn't neccessry. Was hoping she wouldn't anyway just so I got reassurance all is still good. But nevermind looks like I'll just have to wait until 12 month mark!

Hippychic79 · 03/05/2017 11:57

anna ... great to hear that all is well with your bloods .... hey hopefully you won't get to the 12 month stage .... come on cycle buddy .... Pma all the way xxx
