Hippychic79 · 11/04/2017 12:55

So we are rolling on to thread #five –
We are not giving up, our PMA is still alive.

Put pure and simply,
We want to have babies,
God, please help everyone of these lovely ladies.

We support each other,
We are funny and kind,
And we will not be giving up,
Until we see that thick BFP line.

@ArchiesMamaBird remember shout "hope your next shit is a hedgehog" hahahaahha

Anna2006 · 03/05/2017 12:24

Yes exactly. The nurse was a bit mean tbh! Bit cold and matter of fact. 😳😳 she was running on about I'm only 27 which has no reference to anything about how I feel!! An just said it's only been 6 months and would take some people bodies 6 months to get back into swing of things anyway. Ie basically was saying stop being an impatient bitch and suck it up 😂😂.

So I'm sucking it up and carrying on for now & try to be blissfully unaware and stop counting!

Hippychic79 · 03/05/2017 12:30

anna ... I'd take the nurses matter a fact attitude as a good sign, sounds like health wise you've got nothing to worry about. I know time does seem to drag on a bit when your ttc ... but she's right 6 months isn't that long .... says me the hypocrite 😉 Xxx

Thank you phase - how are you?

Thanks amanda - hope your TWW goes in quickly and great that you have a holiday to look forward to!

Hippy - you remind me so much of what I was like on the days leading up to my BFP! I desperately wanted to test 4/5/6 dpo then when the actual 9/10/11 DPO came round, I kept chickening! I tested very early at 11dpo and got a faint positive but the longer the wait, the better I guess! If you can tolerate it.... but then again, I always felt like if I got a BFP and it unfortunately didn't stick, I'd at least know I could get pregnant. It's a tricky decision....

I love your story too sophsta - just proves you don't need all those tricks and products all the time - relaxation and plain ol' DTD is all that's needed! Congrats again.

Anna glad your bloods were all fine and you don't need a scan. Hopefully you get your BFP in the next couple cycles and that nurse will be a distant memory!

Anna2006 · 03/05/2017 12:49

Haha hippy your not a hypocrite. We all do it. It seems so ages we're waiting an we crap at taking our own advise!

Yep fx girls the means nurse will be a distant memory and she will be right. It will happen when the time is right an now stressing will change that so we may as well sit back and enjoy the ride hey! (No pun intended )

MissMagpie · 03/05/2017 12:57

Anna, I know it's frustrating but take the nurse's attitude as a positive in that she doesn't think there's too much to worry about.

It took me 12 months to conceive my son and I am on cycle 11 now. It feels like it should be much easier to have a baby but sometimes it just takes a while. Don't give up or get down. It will happen.

ArchiesMamaBird · 03/05/2017 13:30

Anna It will happen when it's meant to happen Smile I keep saying this to myself, and it really helps and stops me thinking "could I be doing more to help me conceive?"

Totally understand how annoying it is though, the first GP that I saw kept saying "well you got pregnant once, so there's obviously nothing wrong" Hmm Yeah ok I'll just go and tell that to all of those poor couples suffering from unexplained secondary fertility then

Anna2006 · 03/05/2017 14:03

I know Archies some of gear GPS are morons. Yes for majority they should conceive again but it's not always the case. It will be for all of us though.

Yes I know your all right. It will happen when it happens & we should enjoy the sleep and non poop nappies until then

Xxx

Hippychic79 · 03/05/2017 14:16

Dolly you're absolutely spot on, that's exactly how i feel... at 5-8dpo i was well into testing but now I'm 10dpo I just keep talking myself out of it. It is a bit of catch 22, it would lush to know early but then what's another day or two?

Anna Sounds like your PMA is back on the rise... yaaaaaay :)

To help me with the time issue, I've been saying the following affirmation every day this cycle - 'I trust the timings of my life.' It sounds a little crazy when i type it out but it does make me feel better

ArchiesMamaBird · 03/05/2017 14:26

I like that affirmation Hippy Smile

Oh yeah Anna make the most of the sleep. DS is 3 and for some unexplained reason last night he decided to wake up for 3 hours between 1am and 4am. During this time he tried sleeping in our bed, his bed, wanted milk, asked to watch his iPad, asked to dress up as Spiderman and demanded to play with a toy gun. And the whole time he kept telling me that he was bored and doesn't like sleeping Grin

Hippychic79 · 03/05/2017 14:49

Archies Try saying it every time you have a time related worry... it really does work :)

Wow - sounds like you had a busy old night with your DS... bless him :) I never slept well as a baby either ... so my mum tells me, so i suspect I will have a little one who keeps me up all night too.

CakesALot · 03/05/2017 15:12

@Hippychic79 I didn't either but dhs mum reckons he slept through at 3 weeks!! And we got a good sleeper. Worried for the next one! She still likes her middle of the night parties sometimes too though @ArchiesMamaBird so I feel your pain!!!

Love that affirmation @Hippychic79. Stealing. It will happen when it happens xx

Hippychic79 · 03/05/2017 15:41

Cakes Steal away :) lol #sharingiscaring as Bella says :)

I just think its mental how we're all so worried about time - and it's not necessarily age related.... I guess we're all just accustomed to the instant society that we're living in....

OP posts:
Anna2006 · 03/05/2017 16:19

Yeh we still live in a society where we want everything 'now' and never want to have to wait.

But cest la vie.

Let hope for some good news and few more BFPs over the next week

X

Hippychic79 · 03/05/2017 18:48

Yaaaaay fx for more bfps xxx

AmandaP86x · 03/05/2017 19:34

Yay defo hoping for sometime BFP

Was talking about stuff to DP today and just how people take vitamins, stop drinking, use preseed, drink teas etc etc and still can't fall preg and then there's people out there who are drug addicts and don't look after themselves fall preg very easily. Seems unfair isn't it

CakesALot · 03/05/2017 19:37

You spend all those years on contraception being told you mustn't miss a pill because you'll get pregnant. That you need to take all these extra precautions as though getting pregnant were the easiest thing on the planet. Hmmm!!

Hippychic79 · 03/05/2017 19:47

Yeah one my friends gets wrecked a lot and she said to me the other day 'oh there's you trying so hard and it happened to me by accident lol' ... she had an abortion... I understand why cuz she didn't like the fella but I swear ... friend or not ... she nearly got a #throatpunch 🤣

OP posts:
ArchiesMamaBird · 03/05/2017 20:49

Oh Hippy, I definitely would have smacked her!! I have a friend who got pregnant on her first month of trying and when she was 6 months gone a group of us went for dinner and she was bragging about how it happened straight away so they must be a super fertile couple. Whilst I was sat there opposite her after I'd been trying for 5 months and she knew about it Hmm although tbf we didn't try for DS and it just happened so I couldn't be too angry with her. It is so annoying though!!

Hippychic79 · 03/05/2017 21:01

Thanks archies ... I know my friend didn't mean to be rude but it was just mega insensitive.... and I'm not gonna lie .... doing all these proactive things does make me feel like I'm doing something but then on the other hand it gets frustrating when you hear of other people who just fall and they're like 'what do you mean pineapple aids implantation' !!!! I'm surprised I don't look like a pineapple this wk 🤣🤣🤣

PMA Express to BFP Thread #5
OP posts:
MissMagpie · 03/05/2017 21:02

I have the same thoughts. There was a very overweight pregnant woman smoking outside the GP surgery the other day and it does make you think why them and why not me, when I am trying to do everything you should.

But I have decided that negative thoughts about others need to be turned into PMA for myself so I try and stamp them out immediately (not easy for someone with a tendency to criticise others a bit unfairly sometimes!). Who cares about them at the end of the day? They aren't my concern.

MissMagpie · 03/05/2017 21:03

Good pineapple action Hippy.

Anna2006 · 03/05/2017 21:11

Yes very true ladies. I do the same. Why them and not me scenario. But realised them getting a pregnancy and a baby isn't stopping me from getting mine so it shouldn't really concern me. It was obviously there time and their path.

Deffo agree Magpie. Other people are not our concern. We have to look after number one don't we!

AmandaP86x · 03/05/2017 22:57

I kno the girl who done my eyebrows is pregnant and I was like aw where u trying she's like omg no I don't even want kids I must have just missed a pill or something!!!
