Hi everyone. Just popping in to say that I am still doing ok. I disappeared off Mumsnet for a few weeks as I have just been so terribly sick. I have not left the sofa for weeks.

I got scans at 5 and 6 weeks though and everything seems to be progressing fine. Baby even had a heartbeat last time we checked.

Boggle I was so, so pleased for your BFP. Massive congratulations!!!! It was well overdue! Hope you are enjoying your pregnancy so far. xx

Hi Satsoooma, really great to hear from you. Sorry you've been so poorly, sounds like HG to me? Have you got some help from you GP?
All is well here, 6+3 today and a scan this time next week. Feeling a bit edgy as hoping everything is ok with our little bean.

SLady · 27/04/2017 14:51

Haha how funny summer! Usually a 2ww is the worst bit and you've just flown through yours without realising, happy days!! Eeeeekksss I'm so excited for you!! Star

Nice to hear from you satsooma sorry you've been feeling poorly but very pleased everything is progressing well!

I feel like ive been getting signs of AF this week but I think it's just wishful thinking. CD40 and getting impatient....

SummerHopin · 27/04/2017 15:57

Hey Satsooma lovely to hear from you. Sorry to hear you've been poorly but great that you've heard a heartbeat and that all is well.

Aw thanks Slady. My optimism from this morning has gone and now I'm feeling hauntingly normal. Not sure if I will test tomorrow now or if I'll wait until later in the weekend. Since I dont know when AF would really be due I dont want to go down the road of testing, getting a BFN and then thinking 'ohh but it might be too early'. To me thats just torture.

Sorry AF isnt getting much closer. Did they give you a point at which they would give you provera?

SLady · 27/04/2017 16:07

Yes I know what you mean. Testing over the weekend will be good anyway as you'll have a couple of days to take in the news whatever it may be. Feeling normal is a good sign at this stage :)

We didn't discuss provera at all. Think I just have to wait it out Hmm

Have you been doing anything different since starting clomid. Any different diets, exercise regime etc? Are you taking any supplements at all?

SummerHopin · 27/04/2017 16:51

You could always try again and see if they would do provera? CLomid is the harder one to get it seems weird they would give you that and not the provera to get you going.

Erm, I'll be honest, I'm not following a strict ttc diet. I started doing so, but then I got so that I was worrying about ttc with every waking thought and so I made a vow to stop OPKing and stop being so strict on that. I asked at one of my appointments about diet and supps and the nurse said that as long as you have a balanced diet and some folic then thats really all you need. She said there's no harm in a multi-vit, but everything else is just based on different peoples opinions - a bit like acupuncture etc.

Dont get me wrong, as the weeks and months go on I may well start doing all these things to help me along if nothing happens, but so far the metformin has help me lose weight and its staying off just with a normal diet. I'm not drinking but I'd be lying if I didnt have treats (mainly comfort food when I get low). The clomid has made me ovulate so its dependant on how the next few days go - and then maybe the next cycle or two. If things dont happen I might throw more things at it, but I worry that it can get far too detailed and I am a real worrier so think it would cause me to be too stressed. OPKing and temping seems daunting enough!

Ooh, just thought of something though. I did use pomegranate juice to try to thicken my lining at the start of my cycle because my AFs are really light. Not sure if it had an effect but my lining at my second scan was perfect thickness. So thats one thing i do do.

Barsons83 · 27/04/2017 17:04

I think I'm out this month. Got light bleeding when I woke day 27, 11 do I. It's 3 days early but think it's too pink for implantation Sad

SLady · 27/04/2017 17:14

I think it's because I'm still technically private at the moment so they were trying to keep my costs down and the main thing was to wait until my referral was through but catch it if AF came in the meantime.

Yes definitely and its all going well seeing as clomid is doing what its meant to do! My diet has been really bad lately, I'm going to start trying to have more of a balanced diet rather than just carbs and chocolate haha! So do you just take folic acid and your pomegranate juice? I'm going to start taking mine again together with vit D I think, ive heard vit B is good too but like you I don't wanna get too bogged down and stressed about diet, supplements etc

SummerHopin · 27/04/2017 17:32

Barron's I'm sorry mate. See what happens tonight and tomorrow with that bleeding. Were you expecting AF so soon?

SLady · 27/04/2017 17:50

Sorry barsons hugs x

Barsons83 · 27/04/2017 20:04

Thanks guys. It has happened before where I bleed on and off before period. Have our next review apt Tues where We will be discussing ivf

AmyC86 · 28/04/2017 14:00

summer have you tested?

SummerHopin · 28/04/2017 14:24

No Amy I havent. Had to leave the house super early this morning and also I have had symptoms that AF is on its way so didnt want the upset of a BFN before a long day.

Wimped out basically Blush

YouBoggleMyMind · 28/04/2017 14:47

What symptoms have you had Summer? Everything crossed for you!

SummerHopin · 28/04/2017 16:48

Been really tired and felt super cold every night this week. Also had an increase in appetite. Boobs now and again have felt funny and I had some tummy cramps too. Had a bit of a feeling you know? Then lastnight and today - nothing. I get a chance in discharge (TMI!) a few days before AF which seems to be happening, so I think maybe i was just making all those symptoms up with wishful thinking!

I dont feel any different now. Just feel a bit silly for getting my hopes up. I will test over the weekend if AF doesnt show.

SummerHopin · 29/04/2017 07:24

Help guys. Is that a line? It's really faint so is that a no? Test says lines may vary I've never used this type of test before.
Help help!!

Now I have no more wee for a while either! Ffs!

Barsons83 · 29/04/2017 08:12

Summer It definitely looks positive to me!!

Sunny1984 · 29/04/2017 08:51

Morning ladies,

Would you mind if I join you?! I'm 33 ttc #1 for 14 months. I have been diagnosed with PCOS started metformin in Jan! At 16 I had a scan for abdo pains and was told then my ovaries were cystic but my GP
Stuck me on the pill and it was never mentioned again 😤 When I had no periods after stopping the pill I then realised PCOS may be the issue!
I have gone privately to have monitored Clomid as the wait times where I live are ridiculous and I'm cycle day 10 of my 1st cycle. Would be so good to have people to talk to who understand, I have 2 close friends who had been trying the same amount of time and within the last month have both told me they are pregnant. My husband is great but it's not the same!!

Sorry for the long post!! I've never posted before so will get better!!

YouBoggleMyMind · 29/04/2017 08:54

That's not faint! That's positive Summer! Defo try a first response or digital!

Sunny1984 · 29/04/2017 08:54

And Summer that definitely looks like a positive!

YouBoggleMyMind · 29/04/2017 08:56

Welcome Sunny, you're in the right place. These ladies are the best. Ask away! I recently got my bfp but come back here regularly to support my friends. Hoping Summer has just given us another bfp for the group!

Sunny1984 · 29/04/2017 09:05

I hope so, so reassuring to hear Clomid working!! It sounds awful but my friends who were trying at the same time just don't really get it! The 1st or 2nd month they used OPKs they fell and now keep saying to me it's just timing!! If only it were that simple!!
boogle how long were you taking Clomid?

YouBoggleMyMind · 29/04/2017 09:17

No, people won't get it unless they're going through the same thing. It can be extremely frustrating and very upsetting. I got pregnant on my 10th round of clomid but this was spread over 18 months under the fertility clinic. I didn't respond at all at first and was then given metformin which made all the difference. I had one very early miscarriage at just shy of 5 weeks last year, think that was round 6. Had 5 more rounds between October and march this year and I got my bfp on Easter Monday. I'm 6+5 today and have an early scan next Thursday when I'll be 7+3. Though I expect them to date me back a few days as I ovulated later than cd14! Don't give up hope, clomid can work wonders x

YouBoggleMyMind · 29/04/2017 09:18

Sorry, 4 more rounds between October and March this year.
