Thread 6 already. We are a bunch of ladies who are either

  • humping (TTC)
  • by humping yet (waiting to TTC)
  • humped (preggers)

And everything in between!

We've had 7 BFPs in three months and we love a bit of lucky lube and a squinter on 9DPO - come and join the madness!

Aunt Bitch! AF was renamed last month (can't remember by who though..) :)

HbH · 25/03/2017 08:10

Think it was buzz ?

Morning everyone!!

Can't believe something so teeny tiny can wreak so much havoc!!

CD30 over here, i have no idea how many dpo jupiter because i was being all cool and not tracking then TOTALLY regretted it! I won't make that mistake again, I would imagine 13dpo, from some possible Ov twinges. No AB yet but I'm not a first thing kind of girl!

Two fun facts....
1)Sperm get ejected at 40 MILES AN HOUR! can't even comprehend how that happens!
2) lots of women find Ov can be delayed in march by the spring equinox... this doesnt surprise me as so much can be led by moon pHases etc!

Enjoy the races parsnips

Good luck with the m/w appointments buzz & tigger ?? Someone has one Sunday?? (Which is very impressive in itself!)

Happy Saturday!

DancingUnicorn · 25/03/2017 08:30

Mine is Sunday! Surprised, but at least I don't have to take time off work secretly gutted! It was all they offered!

40 mph?! Wow! I guess male bodies are pretty impressive too, just obviously not so much as ours!

Wilde sounds very sweet, you guys must be so excited!

Hope you're coping ok confused and sickness/exhaustion is easing for mrsc and Tigger!

Jupiter, the nipples are crazy, right?!

Tigger83 · 25/03/2017 08:36

Morning all! Had my booking in appointment part 1 last week where I got all the forms and went through all the blood tests etc. Next one is Friday. My scan is 19th April and it can't come soon enough.

Beautiful day here today! Got friends coming over this morning (how am I not going to tell them?!) then to collect my Mother's Day flowers then. Then out in the garden for me this afternoon.

Tigger83 · 25/03/2017 08:40

With the sickness I have worked out I need to eat something small every 45 minutes and it's a little bit easier.

DancingUnicorn · 25/03/2017 08:42

Glad you've found coping mechanisms Tigger! I'm also seeing friends today (one who knows) I'm so tired of the secret now. Also starting to feel increasingly anxious about my scan. :s

HeyJupiter · 25/03/2017 09:00

Hb how exciting. You are amazing for not testing yet.. although saying that seeing a white BFN is in some ways worse than AB arriving. Have you got a FRER on standby for tomorrow? Loved your fun facts! Staggered that sperm can generate enough momentum to come out that quickly. Amazing really yet such a flawed process in other ways :)

Dancing hope tomorrow goes well, you will have to tell us all about it. Am sure you are feeling nervous about the scan but am sure all will be fine. Glad you’re managing to cope with the sickness too. Once 12 weeks have passed and you’ve had the scan maybe the waiting will seem easier (here’s hoping - I can’t bear all this waiting around!)

Tigger great news about 1st part of booking done. Roll on 19th April for the scan. Bet you can’t wait to see him/her again :)

HbH · 25/03/2017 09:09

Yeah i suppose the male body wants to make sure it aims for way past the hostile evil va-jj!!

I've got two superdrug early detections at the ready!!

HeyJupiter · 25/03/2017 09:15

Hooray, will have everything crossed for you tomorrow morning!

NaturWilde · 25/03/2017 09:48

Good luck Hb!!

Just remembered, some PreSeed arrived in the post this week!

Here's this morning's test...definitely darker than the first, but I find the ICs fade ever so slightly after a day?

Last night was so wonderful, I'll never forget it! What a moment!

Dancing I'm worrying about my scan too. Seeing the midwife made the risks feel very real. I thought I'd be able to breathe easy after the 12 week but she was then talking about what they can find at 20 week and it's not just a gender reveal which I knew but didn't really need it spelling out! She also spoke about harmony/panorama so now not sure if we should think about that - it's a lot of money though! I think I'll wait for the scan and blood test results then go from there....

DancingUnicorn · 25/03/2017 10:35

It's so random, because harmony is offered as standard from my hospital if nt shows high risk I think. That's definitely what all the literature implied!! My friend recently had her 20 week scan, and sounds scary. But the risks at that point are very low. I'm sorry mw scared you... I was hoping for lots of reassurance!!

HeyJupiter · 25/03/2017 10:39

Oh guys my sister said the same thing about the 20w scan.. think she was given a booklet beforehand which included all these potential issues that she'd never considered. The risks are so very low but they just need to be open about them. Very likely all will be perfect x

buzzmoon · 25/03/2017 10:44

Midwife just left! She was just in the lounge so didn't get to appreciate my immaculate everywhere else 😂 what a waste!
Loads of info, feel a bit overwhelmed! But got lots of leaflets to read through etc got to book in for blood tests asap and then a long wait till 9th May!

Sorry you're feeling worried tigger everything will be fine I'm sure. But I know what you mean. All the info today felt like it was all about what can go wrong! Scary :(

HeyJupiter · 25/03/2017 11:32

That sounds good buzz, did you like your midwife? Sorry if a silly question but what are they checking with the blood tests? Risk of chromosomal stuff and things? :)

buzzmoon · 25/03/2017 11:38

She's not going to be my midwife, someone called Linda! The one today was lovely though and there was a student one here too :)
The bloods are to check for any sexually transmitted diseases and iron levels and sickle cell. If you choose to have the Nuchal scan at the dating scan, they measure the back of bubbas neck, plus take bloods to check for downs etc.

Penguin27 · 25/03/2017 12:42

Glad all went well with the midwife buzz, bet it all feels very real now!!

Try not to be nervous dancing, chances are everything will be just fine at the scan Smile

HeyJupiter · 25/03/2017 12:47

Thats great buzz, I assume I will have those bloods when I go for my booking in meeting...seems a million years away (4 weeks) Glad she was lovely. Always nice to meet students too and feel that you're part of their learning.

Tigger83 · 25/03/2017 13:28

Oh god my friends guessed and I couldn't lie! Think my oh might be upset Confusedwhat do I say to him?!

buzzmoon · 25/03/2017 13:55

Don't worry tigger!! Your DH won't be upset that you spilled! It's literally so hard to keep the secret :( I just want the next 6 weeks to just go!

TheGrumpySquirrel · 25/03/2017 14:11

Ahh tigger I would have spilled too! Don't worry.. men just don't get it! It's so abstract for them until the baby is born but for us it's happening every day inside our changing bodies!

I'm enjoying the sun today 😎 walked all the way back from yoga, popped into boots for a FRER 2pack for next week! In the meantime I've got my £1 Wilko tests if I'm tempted! To be honest the fact that hb is testing tomorrow is the only thing keeping me going!

I don't feel remotely pregnant.. feeling great actually and full of energy. Boobs a bit stabby but that happened last 2 cycles in literal phase. 6dpo 😴

HbH · 25/03/2017 14:12

Oh Tigger I'm sure he'll understand... especially as i assume it must be a very good friend if she's outright asked you?!

Knicker watch is the MOST nerve wracking thing ever!! Thought AF had come at work but home for a check and no sign!

Feeling very slight nausea (but could be nerves!) & womb feels hot?! (Weird)

Now I can't decide what's worse, waiting for AB or BFN!

Half tempted to test later cos we're out for dinner & would be good to know what the drinking situ is.... would hate to test without FMU thoHmm

TheGrumpySquirrel · 25/03/2017 14:12

Luteal phase obviously 🙈

TheGrumpySquirrel · 25/03/2017 14:13

Hb wait for FMU if you can because you'll dismiss a BFN as meaningless anyway .. I'd just limit drinking to 1 small unit? I know it's SO HARD WAITING

buzzmoon · 25/03/2017 14:18

Deffo wait for FMU hb! A little drink tonight will be fine! :)
