Thread 6 already. We are a bunch of ladies who are either

  • humping (TTC)
  • by humping yet (waiting to TTC)
  • humped (preggers)

And everything in between!

We've had 7 BFPs in three months and we love a bit of lucky lube and a squinter on 9DPO - come and join the madness!

Thanks buzz, I'll definitely be getting some of those if I get another bfn!!

Penguin27 · 30/03/2017 11:20

So I just got the results of the (unrelated) blood test I had last week... the Dr said I didn't ovulate last cycle, so no more testing for me! Sad

I also have a Vitamin D deficiency... a holiday must be the best medicine for this? Wink

TheGrumpySquirrel · 30/03/2017 11:28

Thanks all I am feeling a bit better after a bagel and a cup of tea. I made it on the tube all the way to work yay! Just very tired now.

Penguin i wouldn't be able to wait either! I'm going to do my second FRER tomorrow- hopefully the line will be darker and then I'm not doing any more tests! Although the CBFM will probably ask me to test when AF is due.

Hb I think that's totally normal, I'm fully expecting to be worried about loads of things both rationally and irrationally!

TheGrumpySquirrel · 30/03/2017 11:29

Oh no! Cross post penguin! Do they know why? X

Penguin27 · 30/03/2017 11:34

They said it's quite common after coming off the pill and to keep an eye on my cycle, if it's not regular in 6 months to go back to them.... feel a bit sad to be honest, although I know that's stupid because it might be fine next month and doesn't mean anything about my overall fertility and chances for the future.

Redpony1 · 30/03/2017 11:41

Oh no Penguin Sad But at least you know, i think that happened to me last cycle too, i didn't pick up a rise in LH at all on twice a day OPKing, never mind a peak. or do you still get a LH peak even if you don't ovulate?

Hope all the resident upduffed's feel brighter soon!

I never realised how draining pregnancy was until i joined MN.
Everyone i know that's been pregnant apart from my SIL has been horse owners/riders and it's not seemed to affect them much at all, still mucking out & riding etc. Definitely don't remember any of them mentioning tiredness unless i just didn't listen Blush What's the betting when i get upduffed it will wipe me out!

buzzmoon · 30/03/2017 11:46

Oh no penguin :( don't worry though, my doctor said it's totally normal for it to take 6 months after the pill to get back to normal. Everything will be fine ❤️ stupid question but how do they know if you ovulated or not from a blood test?

My DP sent me a picture of a baby grow he'd ordered! He's such a cutie, he's ordered it a few days ago and picked it up today. It says something like 'I can't even walk and I love Sunderland FC' he's a massive football fan! We've decided to tell his family whilst they are all down for Easter and we're all together. I was going to wait till the scan but hearing that you all are doing the same has made me want to! Think I'm going to put the baby grow in a box for them to open :) eek excited now! But just hope everything is okay!

HbH · 30/03/2017 11:56

Thats so cute buzz!

penguin sorry to hear you're still being messed around post pill... did you not ovulate last month or the cycle you're currently on? Get the vitamin D down you! Everyone should take it everyday in the winter minimum as we don't get any at all naturally at this time! (I have a client who's a nutritionist so she always passes on lots of useful advice!) I take a 5000iu tab daily and there's some in pregnacare too... i did ask her last week if you can overdose but she said its water based so the body will ditch any excess.

Penguin27 · 30/03/2017 12:35

Buzz it's not a stupid question, I actually don't know! Hb I'm not sure, he said "last cycle" but I didn't clarify which one he meant! It's good to know that you can't overdose on Vit D though!

Your DP sounds lovely buzz! That's a nice way to break the news to his family.

Red, pregnancy affects everyone differently. A colleague of mine is v heavily pregnant but she's said that she hasn't experienced any fatigue or anything, really! Lucky woman!

TheGrumpySquirrel · 30/03/2017 12:39

I didn't event notice being pregnant 12-13 years ago but I think it's harder the older you get! Still I'm not that ancient yet at almost 31 but I am noticing it more this time for sure..

NaturWilde · 30/03/2017 13:47

Hello all! So excited, got my booking in appointment with the Midwife! I'll be 12+3. Going with the community Midwife scheme, if I can!

Penguin - sorry to hear that, though it gives you loads more time for all the vitamins and care you're putting into yourself to create a strong egg and the perfect environment...SmileI tried to look at each month before we TTC like that.

Buzz am also a POAS addict! I've loads of those ICs so why not?! And did second last Sainsbury's test this morning - such a lovely fat line!

Felt strange this morning, thinking I'd usually be on a heavy period at this stage!

Great to know about the Vit-D. I have it in my Seven Seas pregnancy tablets (normal, as I have other DHA tablets) and also have the 3000DLux spray.

buzzmoon · 30/03/2017 15:21

New series of obem next Tuesday! 🙋🏽

Penguin27 · 30/03/2017 16:37

That's a positive way of thinking about it Wilde. Great that you've got your booking in all sorted!

Ahh I love one born!!

MrsC2017 · 30/03/2017 16:52

Hi girls!
natur that's great your hospital offers the midwife led care, are you in Dublin?
penguin that's annoying but reassuring to know that it's just par for the course coming off the pill, hopefully things settle down quickly for you and you're back to regularity very soon!
grumpy I'm the same, honestly society should encourage teen pregnancy, don't worry im joking but physically it's a doddle! Hope you're feeling OK now!
buzz that's so cute!! Your dp must be super excited, so sweet!!

I've also been on the vitamin D, this country is lacking in sunshine most days of the year! Milk is a good source too but I don't drink it, can't stomach it since forever, no idea why!
seven Easter holidays start earlier over there, we have another week to go, I'm jealous, last day for you tomorrow, I cannot wait for next week to be over, I imagine I'll spend the two weeks in bed!

buzzmoon · 30/03/2017 17:05

Omg and also Jane the Virgin season 2 is on Netflix!!!!! Best day ever! 🎉🎉

TheGrumpySquirrel · 30/03/2017 17:27

LOL MrsC I know right?! I'm actually feeling a lot better this afternoon just very tired! Will need to get some early nights and R&R in.

Buzz I love OBEM but now I'm actually pregnant (omfg!!! ...nope.. still not sunk in!) I'm a bit worried about watching it in case I suddenly go off the idea!

I want to book a harmony test, are there any recommended providers?

Also - I really need to eat a bit more sensibly and at least maintain my weight in the 1st trimester .. got lots of bikini time coming up I hope it's not obvious! I'll be 7 weeks, 8 weeks and 12 weeks for the various bikini 👙 exposures...

Trying to decide whether to tell family at Easter too, as we are having a big get together with DH family in France. I might be able to hide not drinking by sipping and swapping with DH.. my gut feeling is I want to keep it secret I think but I keep changing my mind! Once you tell people IRL it's actually real and I'm not sure I'm ready for that 🙈

confusedat23 · 30/03/2017 18:07

I have been waiting for the new OBEM i actually love watching it even more now im pregnany it reminds me what i'm doing this all for... the look on the parents face... true love ❤❤❤

Grumpy if you wait until booking in your local hospital can normally recommend a service and its about £400 i believe... me and DH are going to have it if we have a high risk result from the 12 week testing... i really don't want an amnio done!

Sorry about the non-ov Penguin and i guess at least you have closure on the cycle!... its completely normal not to ov even without hormonal contraception playing its part... have you put a plan together for next cycle?

I am also another one on the vitamin D hype!...

HeyJupiter · 30/03/2017 18:16

Grumpy - so the guidelines on prescribing diazepam in pregnancy are limited. There is little evidence (as you might expect) as most pregnant women don’t want to be involved in trials. Basically they aren’t sure - some studies show it can cause foetal abnormalities and others contradict that. You’re only going to be taking it once or twice so imagine would be perfectly fine and these studies relate more to heavy and long term users. It recommends using something like promethazine (anti-histamine) to use as a sedative instead if you want to err on the side of caution. Will be interesting to hear what your doctor says!

Hb that’s great! We can do our announcements together.. only a few weeks to go. Are you feeling a bit better today? Emotional wobble definitely allowed, I’ve been the same. How did the self referral to the midwife go? Sorry if I’ve missed an update, yesterday was madly busy.

Tigger how brilliant about the dancing, bet you had an amazing time. Let us know what the pregnancy yoga is like.

JB oh I did have lots of cuddles thank you! Being an auntie is amazing, and made me just want to spill the beans on our pregnancy but also this was my sister and baby Connie’s moment and didn’t want to detract from that. Well done on the weight loss!

Penguin sorry to hear about your blood test results but also glad you’re feeling reassured - it is so normal at the end of the day and could easily return next month. It has no bearing on your overall fertility at all.

Thats so cute buzz!

Yay Wilde how exciting - will you have your scan at the same time?

Been taking vitamin D here too for last few months :)

Lots of twinges in my womb today - bit painful, sort of pinching feeling? Still no other major symptoms though…

TheGrumpySquirrel · 30/03/2017 19:00

Thanks Jupiter for looking all that up for me that's very kind! I'll let you know what the GP says next week.

Confused I can't wait for booking in I'm going to ask my GP when I see him on wed what the next steps are in there our area.

Still not really believing it's happening 🙈

MrsC2017 · 30/03/2017 19:16

jupiter them womb twinges are funny! But glad you are still feeling well!
grumpy in a week or two you may not be able to eat much at all so you could be bikini ready unbeknownst to yourself, I've lost 5lb over the last two weeks as I can eat anything! All my jeans are falling off me but then I get random bloating in the evening so have to swap to pyjamas!
Ahhh buzz Jane the virgin is my absolute fave, I know what I'm doing this weekend!!

Parastars · 30/03/2017 19:44

Thanks for updating seven
My healthy eating has been a bit up and down this week...first week back at work after miscarriage so needed chocolate. Argh. It's been ok though and the normality, although hard at times, has been much appreciated.

I'll try harder next week! Smile

Parastars · 30/03/2017 19:47

And congratulations Grumpy I'm just catching up! Fantastic news!

Penguin27 · 30/03/2017 19:49

Oh para eat as much chocolate as you need to get through the day! Flowers

Has anyone else ever had weird, intense uterus pain during sex?? Confused

Parastars · 30/03/2017 19:57

I did when I was pregnant, Penguin especially after an orgasm Blush
Think it's pretty normal!

Parastars · 30/03/2017 19:59

Sorry, didn't mean to leave it there! Meant to say, I did when I was pregnant but not normally. May be a sign?! Fingers crossed for you!
