No Thai baby names! (Probably for the best!!)

So where is my period then?! Totally fine about the non immaculate conception but would like my body to be working correctly please!

Ooh interesting HB. Are you normally like clockwork or have they been irregular? Sorry about BFN. What level of HCG does the sainsburys test pick up? Could it still be early?

OP posts:
HbH04 · 23/02/2017 06:01

Normally like clockwork!! 29 days... this must be CD33... maybe i didn't ovulate? Or it was late?

Was not up for doing OPKs but maybe I'll have to!!

HbH04 · 23/02/2017 06:03

Test says 99% accurate after missed period so I'm not doubting the test!

HopefullyDothButterNoParsnips · 23/02/2017 06:28

How strange! Maybe give it a few more days and test again. If still negative then maybe speak to GP for reassurance.

It's been a really tough and long journey for me but I don't have the strength to give up just yet . had dd after ttc for over a year so l have hope someday I will have good news to share.

Good luck to all approaching the fw and in the tww

DancingUnicorn · 23/02/2017 07:24

Hb, it may just be flights. I went on a residential school trip once, had only just finished af so didn't bother taking any sanitary products... of course it started again as soon as we landed!! (Gr, and SO embarrassing!!) and that was only a short haul flight...

Hi mimi! I'm sorry it's been such a long journey for you already. Here's hoping for you for this cycle!! Have you been to drs for tests etc?

Tigger83 · 23/02/2017 07:28

Hi hb how strange I was really hoping for an immaculate conception!! Grumpy I always found that opks helped me feel more in control of what is a crazy process!! I've got my fx as your symptoms (other than the thrush) sound so similar to mine!! Mimi welcome we're all very friendly so throw anything out there. Parsnips glad you're getting back on track with your oh think you handled it brilliantly! Confused hope you're feeling a bit more relaxed now- I'm still in disbelief and the poas habit isn't easing fortunately I'm just using opks to confirm the hcg! Jupiter hope you're enjoying the process this month are you managing to dtd every other day??

Penguin27 · 23/02/2017 07:29

Morning all Grin

Hb sorry about your BFN & mummy on the return of the witch.

Hi mimi, have fun dtd this week!

Tigger83 · 23/02/2017 07:35

Mummy I've got my fx that you have a chilled out fun month I really tried not to symptom spot (as I was too busy getting engaged Grin) it was only when I nearly passed out at the airport that I thought it could be a symptom lol. I certainly felt more relaxed about not questioning every little twinge. So I guess my only advice is either get engaged or try and keep yourself busy lol.

I need to take my only advice now I'm pregnant as I'm questioning everything, think I'll be happier once I've had a scan.

HopefullyDothButterNoParsnips · 23/02/2017 07:58

Thank you Tigger,I appreciate that 😘

Welcome to the dollhouse Mimi! You're in good company here! How old is your DD now?

Grumpy when are you next testing?

OP posts:
DancingUnicorn · 23/02/2017 08:00

Yes to the questioning Tigger! Woke up this morning, feel a little less sick, mind jumps to worst conclusion. My scan is sooooo far away (5 weeks tomorrow!).

Also, being pregnant seems to be helping me lose weight... I've lost more than 2lb in the time since I've known! Is that normal?! Who knows!

Mimilicious013 · 23/02/2017 08:08

Thanks for the welcome ladies
Dd is three now parsnips and I never went back on the pill.(makes me think my ovaries are on holiday )

dancing ,l did get tests done after ttc for a year and all was well. Just wonder if it's bad luck or do I need to go back to doc's again?

tiger the roller coaster ride of ttc continues beyond your bfp.lt seems to be never ending but I would suggest you try and enjoy every minute because 9months flies by so fast.

TheGrumpySquirrel · 23/02/2017 08:24

Parsnips I'm testing tomorrow morning which I think is 10dpo ... So fed up of not knowing! Tempted to get another FRER at lunchtime but it's so disheartening seeing the negatives. Last night I had such a panic as felt really sick and I was convinced I'm definitely pregnant! This morning my brain is like don't be so silly it's gonna take more than 1 cycle! I have symptoms but not strong enough that they couldn't be explained by other factors. ARGH

DancingUnicorn · 23/02/2017 08:31

Fx for you grumpy! It can happen first cycle! Am I right in thinking it's not the ideal timing for work things? I kind of feel like there might never be an ideal time! Having such strong symptoms must be so frustrating! Hope you get your answers soon!!

Penguin27 · 23/02/2017 08:32

I feel your frustration, grumpy! Try to wait until tomorrow though - is the first wee of the day the best one to test with?

HopefullyDothButterNoParsnips · 23/02/2017 08:43

Aww bless Grumpy you will get your answer soon. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you.

As an aside - how do we know what day ovulation occurs? Is it the day after the positive OPK? I've not had any ov pain. Had a few twinges but not sure if I could concretely say that was coming from ovaries or not?

OP posts:
Mimilicious013 · 23/02/2017 08:43

You might just be lucky grumpy fx.lf you have the will power, you can try and hold off until Monday Wink. (Easier said than done )

You are right penguin first wee is best. Where are you in your cycle?

TheGrumpySquirrel · 23/02/2017 08:46

That's right dancing I wanted to wait until May to conceive due to not wanting to be off over the bonus cycle and not wanting to be off over winter. But I realise there isn't an ideal time and actually will be really pleased if it happens earlier than may (we decided to actively try already as not sure how many cycles it will take). Now I'm panicking that it might actually have worked but I will also be disappointed if it hasn't.. lol

DancingUnicorn · 23/02/2017 08:55

Totally understand that feeling grumpy! We waited about 5 months to start actively trying for my work reasons... turns out the timing is probably worse now than if we hadn't waited! But I wasn't expecting a first cycle bfp when I was away most of the month... Definitely not complaining!

MrsC2017 · 23/02/2017 09:00

Hi girls! We are stuck in the airport due to storm Doris back at home!
grumpy it really is the most frustrating thing! Hopefully you'll have your answer soon and I was do upset it didn't happen first cycle so don't worry it's normal! But you're not out yet! We will all get there hopefully sooner rather than later!
Hi mimi sorry to hear how long it's taking you but hopefully you get there now soon!
dancing I lost weight at the start of my first pregnancy, my appetite just disappeared! Could do with that now after my holiday overindulgence!
hb that's strange but must be the travelling!
parsnips that surge happens so fast doesn't it! You really need to be on the ball with the opks to catch it, it's mad!
mummy glad u are feeling better and ready to do it all again Fx for this cycle!
I'm 4dpo, very boring here but I am daring to dream, trying to stop myself convincing myself that I have done it this cycle! I will try to hold out until Friday week to test but we all know I won't!!

orangefolly · 23/02/2017 10:03

Hi all! Gosh - I keep having dreams about positive pregnancy tests. It's doing my head in!! Anyone else get this?

Hi penguin glitters and mimi - welcome. mimi I am about the same age as you but only TTC number 1.

dancing I suspect I will be a real worrier when I actually do get pregnant too. I'm sure the scan will be a huge relief though when it is done.

Redpony1 · 23/02/2017 10:07

Welcome Mimilicious, get stuck in!

OK, i am on TTC strike.
DP is the one that has desperately wanted a baby, being a dad is his dream etc. So i agreed we'd start trying. I have done my duties - coming off the pill, learning about cycles, tracking changes etc.
I have kept him informed the whole way about how things work, how it happens, when is the optimum time to DTD etc.
I am CD15 & think we should be DTD EOD at the moment to catch FW as we don't know exactly when it will be due to irregular cycles post pill. Fair enough right? (i have no ovulation symptoms at all so sure i've not missed it). However, he promises we will, but then does nothing about it when we get home. Jumping him won't work, it's not my style. We haven't DTD since last cycle!
He says he worries i think he don't want it but promises he does. I'm not game for this if he isn't going to do the one thing he has to do to make it happen without encouragement.
He's either all in for it or i'm out. I'll just buy a 4th horse instead!!!!!! (LOL)

Neither of us have high sex drives, we're too busy most of the time, barely crosses my mind, i've always been the same. We both get up 5am to gym/horses before work and both have either gym/horses/running after work too so both get tired after long days. BUT jeeeez, I mean, he knows you need sex to make a baby!!

Seven0fNine · 23/02/2017 10:09

Morning....omg this weather!! Sat snuggly inside with the fire on getting some work done today.

Dancing you've been putting all your energy into making yourself a baby so I'm not surprised you've lost weight!

Welcome mimi

Mummy I'm not symptom spotting either. It's not worth the heartache! I deffo don't think I got dtd timing right this month anyway so just focusing on keeping busy!
