Furryfox thank you for your consideration - v sweet. Actually I just went through an apathetic phase where I just couldn't be bothered to add to the roll call, so it is my fault I wasn't on it. I still feel rather like this and I am a bit annoyed with myself cos I have only been trying since January (after m/c) and some people on here have been trying for ages. I can barely be bothered to do the deed and that is most unhelpful!

Awen - yeah I think the eggwhite means ovulation but I sometimes get it for a week (sorry TMI but it's slightly different over that week, sometimes really clear and exactly like eggwhite and other times a bit cloudy and not as elasticy).
Sorry you're not feeling positive at the moment , hugs.

WB - sounds just like us! Tonight was rare, in at 7pm but he's off to the gym at the moment!

What's EPO??

CD 14 for me, hoping this cycle is shorter than last one (37 days) but of course, hoping it's a BFP rather than AF at the end of the month!

Good luck everyone. Lets cheer ourselves up with the thought that Spring is here and the nights are getting lighter which means summer can't be too far away f

Lucy

cityangel · 14/03/2007 21:48

Good for you BellaBear

plummymummy · 15/03/2007 16:21

OMG had the worst smear ever. Told the doctor I've got a retroverted uterus and she sort of smiled at me as if to say shut up you stupid woman. Then she asked me how tall I am. Wtf? I told her then she said Oh dear I have to get a longer one. I'm thinking . So she gets "a longer one" and puts it in. I nearly hit the roof as it was poker hot (she'd warmed it up under the hot tap) then she rummaged for ages (v painful) before declaring that she couldn't find my cervix and would have to coax it out. I felt like saying "It's not a bloody pet you know". Finally she found it and the deed was done. I am still in shock.

OP posts:
FurryFox · 15/03/2007 16:37

ROFL. Sorry sorry it's just your description of things It must have been very painful for you!

goingfor3 · 15/03/2007 16:41

Soory it was so painful but that's such a funny description! How did she coax it out, with a peice of cheese?!

I had a smear last week and it was much better that I expected because she used a plastic spectulum. She really had to ram it in though, just because I have babies it doesn't mean I've got a bucket!

Ready · 15/03/2007 16:49

Plummy... how awful!!

kensgirl · 15/03/2007 18:11

Ooh, Plummy thats awful! If it makes you feel any better I had the smear from hell a few years ago. The nurse did the ususal trick of cranking open the speculum to maximum volume and then disappeared to get something else, leaving me twitching in agony on the table! By the time she came back and did the deed I was so traumatised that when she said "Ok, you can get dressed now" I actually forgot I was on a high platform, swung my legs down and - wait for it- actually fell off the bed. I was so mortified that I burst into tears and she had to ply me with tissues to mop up the copious amounts of snot I was producing. Not very elegant.

Ready · 15/03/2007 18:18

Oh kensgirl, bless your heart!!!

BellaBear · 15/03/2007 18:21

I am not laughing.

Ready · 15/03/2007 18:24

I have to confess, to laughing, a bit. Sorry Shame on me I know...

kensgirl · 15/03/2007 18:28

Ah, laugh all you like!! I must have looked like I belongd in a secure unit, still I bet I brightened up her day!

Ready · 15/03/2007 18:35

Kensgirl I bet when she gets a real nervous one in for a smear, she tells them her little anecdote about the time someone fell off the bed Come to think of it, I am sure my nurse mentioned that once...

mum03 · 15/03/2007 18:56

Ready - how cruel to laugh .... I am sorry, but I too find it funny. Makes it even better for me having just got my "all clear and you don't have to come back for another 5 years" letter for my recent smear test.
