tigersEasterchick · 30/03/2007 13:02

A man?? We have a horse!

[gloating emoticon]

Well ... she's a knackered old pony and isn't ours but hey!

FurryFox · 30/03/2007 13:15

I want a pony in my garden

tigersEasterchick · 30/03/2007 13:20

It was really funny at dd's birthday party a couple of weeks ago - you wouldn't believe how many people thought we'd bought the pony as a present Dh played along until a friend asked him to own up as he was getting it in the ear from his dd - she's 17!!!

scorpio1 · 30/03/2007 13:22

i want a pony!

tigersEasterchick · 30/03/2007 13:24

She's not ours!

I don't actually know who she belongs to but is here, on the farm, in a sort of retirement home way. Very occasionally next doors kids (farmer - dh's boss - lives next door) will ride her about but she's really old.

scorpio1 · 30/03/2007 13:25

ahh bless.

FurryFox · 30/03/2007 13:30

Do you live on a farm tigerschick?

tigersEasterchick · 30/03/2007 14:06

Sorry - went off for lunch

Yes, dh is a herdsman (milks and looks after cows)

FurryFox · 30/03/2007 14:48

Really like the idea of living on farm and would love a horse or two

tigersEasterchick · 30/03/2007 15:17

It's not something I'd ever thought I'd like - grew up a city girl. But met dh when he was working on a farm on the outskirts of Manchester so sort of eased into country life. Now couldn't imagine living in a town. Our last house was 1/2 mile to the nearest neighbours, that was a bit too extreme for me. We have neighbours now (dh's boss and his family) and you walk out of the garden onto the farmyard so dh has NO commute - which is great. I take dd to help feed the calves if it's warm enough in the early evening. Not very 'darling buds of May' tho!

fifisworld · 30/03/2007 15:30

That sounds lovely Tigerschick, i wish we lived somewhere like that. We are about 10 minutes out of the city but in a built up area.

Well ive been into town today and picked up some cheapie pg tests, but im not testing until at least af due date..
I better get dp to hide them somewhere incase the urge to test gets too strong before then.

I was going to ask how often you need to bd over ovulation period?
According to the websites ive been looking at i should have ov'd between 26th-28th.
So we bd sunday, tuesday and thursday..i wish we'd done it everyday now just to be sure but the sperm lives for a while anyway doesnt it???

Feeling quite optimistic actually and CM looking like is supposed to for CD (according to your link the other day Scorpio) - hoping for a nice short cycle or BFP this time. Lets hope April is a better month than March and I get the only birthday pressie I really want!
