I'm imaging this one as more of an Eeyore stick hut type thing. Maybe Eeyore is actually still in residence.

beansprout · 19/03/2007 17:13

I want to apologise if I have, in any way been chirpy on here today. Let there be no room for misunderstanding. I am friggin' cheesed off today and no mistake.

I think I might fancy John Simm though. But I suspect that's not the answer (ooh young man).

duchesse · 19/03/2007 18:15

Pregnancy test.

Obviously.

Nobody keeps a pregnancy in their bathroom cabinet, do they?

Sunshinedays · 19/03/2007 18:46

I'll go and have a look.

It would be bloody handy if I did.

Sunshinedays · 19/03/2007 18:51

Nah. Just a couple of old tooth brushes, a dosgy bottle of perfume that's gone off and , ewww, two mice droppings.

Sunshinedays · 19/03/2007 18:54

Ooo - liking my new word - dosgy - I might adopt it

feedmenow · 19/03/2007 18:56

Check out my post in Chat (about kitchen accidents)...... just tried to post a clink but failed miserably so you'll have to make your own way there!
Would tell the story here but it might make you laugh, and we can't be having too much of that in here now, can we.....

FeedMe - looks like you've got egg on your face
LOL

duchesse · 19/03/2007 19:28

And that lady whose site I linked to on here the other, who was unexpectedly pregnant after years of infertility, infertility treatment, miscarriages and loss of live born babies is about miscarry again. I think there may well be no justice in the world.

OP posts:
feedmenow · 19/03/2007 19:48

Oh duchesse, that is so bloody unfair! Poor, poor lady

And for anyone who may have noticed, I did not try and post a clink, rather a link.....

Catbabymummy · 19/03/2007 20:05

Feeling very worn out. And I know all about symptom spotting. I still feel pregnant despite changing towels at least half a dozen times today... grrrr.
Right I'm on a crockery smaching mission!!

Sunshinedays · 19/03/2007 20:07

It is so frustrating - even if you can work out this fertility malarky you are still not home and dry. Feel so very sad for her.

My eldest brother was still born - on my mum's birthday, to this day I do not know how they coped. I mention this only beause their strength shows the human spirit is a remarkable thing and I wish this poor woman and a her partner love and healing.

lissielou · 19/03/2007 21:22

oh duchesse... thats so awful. the poor thing. lifes shit and anything enjoyable is illegal!

Impatience · 20/03/2007 10:43

Just saw another GP, and have finally been refered to the fertility clinic at the hospital. Appointment not for a couple of months, but it's there. (I will know all the staff... Oh well.) Had to laugh when GP asked whether my partner would attend, and I asked whether she meant my partner or the man who's trying to get me pregnant . Just wanted to share a positive GP moment!

But am starting to actually feel BORED of the prospect that one day I might be pregnant! I guess its that 'Yeh, right, as if' feeling, but I really feel I can't be bothered to even try. Since dp decided she would like to start trying in June, she keeps creeping that date closer and closer and is now talking about next month. Part of me is almost relieved that she's going to take over and get the job done. And then I remember that I'm such a miserable failure. So perhaps, given that I don't have particularly strong feelings either way, this apathy and indifference is the most healthy option! (Don't they say that about depression...? )

Thanks for the wittering air-space!

duchesse · 20/03/2007 10:50

Well, Impatience, not wishing to sound chirpy, of course, that is progress. You may get to the bottom of what ails you in two months' time. Unlike Devon, your GPs sound quite sympathetic to your conception troubles. Mine are just laughing them off and telling me there's nothing wrong. Yeah, right. I think I am becoming bitter and twisted.

seaside72 · 20/03/2007 10:54

Impatience - LOL at your GP moment!! - Sounds like the tent of indifference for you!! (actually think beansprout closed it due to lack of interest!!! )
Well fertility appointment is at least a good step - and even if your DP takes over it might still be good to get some resolution for yourself.

BTW - is it really bad luck to kill a magpie - I sodding hate them and there is one that is hanging around our garden and am fed up of him and all his bad luck vibes - would killing him be worse bad luck for me than seeing him everyday strutting abot on our lawn on his own

Impatience · 20/03/2007 11:00

It's alright Duchesse, I've worried myself again now by making that fatal error of googling my results. Apparantly 21 day progesterone above 30nmol/L indicates ovulation occured. Mine was 19.5. Although day 21 fell on a Saturday, so it was actually day 23, and I ovulated on day 13or 14, so perhaps it drops after ovulation....? Also saw that FSH above 10 indicates poor ovarian function: mine was 12.7. But not sure we're talking in the same units here.

AAAAArrrrrghh!!! Why do I do this to myself! It's not like I haven't got a million things to be doing and I'm sitting here googling stuff I don't understand then getting all upset about it. BOLLOCKS

Yes, my GPs have been very kind and understanding. Although apparantly not always the most knowing... At least I should get some knowledge at the hospital. Sorry yours have been so crap.

Impatience · 20/03/2007 11:04

That's a rumour started by magpies It's only bad luck to kill a magpie if it drops, dead, onto your head and does you an injury.

Sunshinedays · 20/03/2007 11:06

Seaside - try crossing your eyes or drinking a skin full - either will more sorrow to joy

Sunshinedays · 20/03/2007 11:08

I've moved on from gloomy to miserable as sin.
Last night I dreamt I was breastfeeding my (imaginary though naturally perfect) baby. This is a sign. A sign I have moved from TTC to OTTC (obsessively trying....)

This stinks.

Sunshinedays · 20/03/2007 11:14

[carries on wittereing no idea ... and not really bovvered... whether anyone else is listening or even still in the hut]

Impatience (hi!) - the day 21 test assumes we all have a perfect 28 day cycle - an idea obviously created by a man - i did my first day 21 test on day 21 (well it was a good guess) - since my cycle is 23-26 days it was completely useless. My last test was in the middle of my luteal phase - knew this through temp charting - and results we much better. Hope this helps. Btw When was you FSH bld test? I think this is supposed to be taken early in the cycle.
