I'm imaging this one as more of an Eeyore stick hut type thing. Maybe Eeyore is actually still in residence.

Hello?

becklespeckle · 09/03/2007 11:57

ahh, no-one here yet - off to make some cakes now - will make some (virtual) hash ones and pop them in later when there are more people about...

sideways · 09/03/2007 12:48

Impatience - you're killing us here .

Beckle - I just made cakes too - forgot the has though, so will pop back for a bit of yours later.

beansprout · 09/03/2007 13:10

I have mice in my living room. Not just evidence of the fckers but the actual fckers. Am really NOT happy. We live in a small flat so there isn't anywhere else to decamp to. Council have been round and not sorted it, and it's getting worse. Am a very unhappy bunny today.

Cake please.

beansprout · 09/03/2007 13:10

Impatience. I'm with you every step (and line). I have so many things crossed for you, it's untrue.

duchesse · 09/03/2007 13:13

Beansprout- can you borrow a pusscat? That should encourage them to move away... The council were bleddy useless in getting rid of our rats... Although they did manage to to murder a few (protected) dormice in the process.

duchesse · 09/03/2007 13:14

Impatience, what Beanprout said.

I'm utterly allergic but would consider it if it really was the answer. How would it work though? Would we just need to keep in indoors for the duration? How long would we need it for?

What you need is one of these then.

Now try to get that sight out of your mind.

I would think about a month should do it. Are you in town or country? The problem is always food accessibility. Moving out is a risky business for a mouse, so you have to make it really worth their while- ie make sure they haven't any food anywhere near their dwelling place, and introduce danger in the shape of that poor unfortunate moggie.

Impatience!!!

Curiously, you are showing a MASSIVE amount of patience. Which I don't have. Argh. How could keep us all in suspenders?

FFS they are playing 3 Times a Lady on the Radio. I NEVER liked it and today hasn't changed that.

BTW, have missed FTC moment this month as DP was away. Am feeling miles away from being a mother.

I'm bringing those chocolate / pastry things they do in Cafe Nero. They are on the table.

becklespeckle · 09/03/2007 13:44

Beansprout, try this for your mouse problem

duchesse · 09/03/2007 13:49

Beansprout- if you do want to try that device, don't buy one! I can send you ours, bought by a friend who objected to our vacuuming flies from the air in the kitchen (we live next to a dairy farm). Strangely enough, it doesn't work on flies, who I believe do not hear the same way as mammals do.

Impatience · 09/03/2007 15:33

I think you can all stop crossing yourselves in suspenders () because I think this spotting can now be called a period

And yet this is the point at which I remember all those tales of people having periods while pregnant, and so I remain in awful tiny hope, knowing that doing so is setting myself up for increased misery as I feel foolish to boot. Sound familiar?

Delusional thoughts of the day:
If I can make my eyes believe I see a line I will be pregnant.
If I can get away with using just a liner I will be pregnant.

Soreheart · 09/03/2007 15:59

I am making such a mess of posting today. It's ridiculous.

Impatience, ARSE and ARSE, was feeling positive about your lines. Just was. So have a beer and chill for now.

Impatience · 09/03/2007 16:10

Thanks soreheart. Will definately be drinking tonight.

MrsMcJnr · 09/03/2007 16:43

Ladies, thought I'd pop in, hope you don't mind, so much time has gone by (or so it seems) and I can't catch up which is very selfish but I'm feeling a bit low as I've just lost my baby I had a scan this morning and they confirmed that I'd had a miscarriage (I'd had a huge amount of bleeding and pain). I was 10 weeks. Hoping to try again asap but exhausted by the thought of going through that all again. Silver lining is that it was a complete miscarriage so it's over.

Impatience - I'm sorry to see you still here hon

plummymummy · 09/03/2007 17:10

So sorry Mrs McJunior. I remember you posted on another thread that they had said you were small for dates - was that you? I hope you manage to get some rest so you can recover before ttc again, though many of us (including me)are trying again without a break.

Impatience · 09/03/2007 17:35

Oh MrsMc I am so sorry. How horrible, poor you

Describing your feelings as 'a bit low' is surprising: If you're trying to put a brave face on that is absolutely unecessary in here. Make yourself at home, fall apart, get wasted and don't for a moment worry about harping on about your own troubles. I'm so sorry you lost your baby.

beansprout · 09/03/2007 18:05

Mrs Mc, I'm so, so sorry you lost your baby. Please come and hang out in the hut for as long or whenever you wish.

Impatience, I'm sorry that your period arrived too. I've had a couple of months where I have been later than usual, and even though I tell myself "I know I'm not really" it's such a blow when I realise that hey, I'm really not. Look after yourself this evening. Still plenty of chocolate here for everyone.

feedmenow · 09/03/2007 18:42

Mrsmcjnr, I am sooo sorry! I knew you were pg and congratulated you weeks ago on another post, but didn't tell you at the time that I had mc'd cos I didn't want to put a downer on a happy time. And now you are here too
I am so sad for you that you are here and that this has happened to you. Feel free to come and share your misery here....

duchesse · 09/03/2007 18:42

Impatience, are you sure sure sure?

MrsMcJnr- I can only reiterate what I said on the other thread.

OP posts:
sideways · 09/03/2007 20:01

MrsMc - bloody hell, I am so so sorry . Take as much time as you need, come on here and bitch and moan whenever you need, we are all here for you. I really am genuinely upset for you

sideways · 09/03/2007 20:02

Impatience - hope it's not really a period. It's not over till the super plus are in use.
