2 week wait - again!

It's that time of the month again. The dreaded two week wait. 3rd month of trying and 1st month using ovulation kits.

Last month I convinced myself I was pregnant and obviously wasn't so trying not to do that this month.

Finding the whole process very draining to be honest. DH and I don't have very high sex drives. We're normally once a week people and are both fine with that. So having to do the deed when neither of us really want to is not as fun as I'd hoped! But we managed 3 times in ovulation week this month so fingers crossed.

Anyone else want a 2ww buddy?

It's all over for me ladies. Went to test this morning and got my AF... on CD35 of a previously 28/29 day cycle! WTF! Good luck to you all xx

Me too I'm afraid. AF arrived this morning. Alongside some pretty horrific cramps. Gutted.

Maybe December is our month.

Well I've been awake most of the night feeling really sick again, boobs very sore, loads of cramp/strange pains - took a test and BFN. No idea if/when I would have ovulated (poss 13/11 just based on pure guess work of 30 day cycle coming off the pill.) Stupid symptom spotting! Lol!
At least I can enjoy some wine tonight with the girls

So sorry reluctant and catlover something is just telling me this isn't my month either. I can just feel it! Atleast, if it's not, I can have some eggnog in Dec x

Bfn on a frer this morning. Not sure why I expected anything else! Will test again when period is actually late.

I am out also - AF came early and in full force this morning.
This month was all over the place from the Chemical last cycle. Bleeding only stopped 12/13 days ago and now AF.
Ugh don't know what to think. Going to use CB ovulation kit this cycle and hope for the best!

So sorry to all those who have had AF arrive.
I think she is coming to get me today. I have that feeling in my tummy. On CD38 now so if she is, then I wish she would just hurry up, then I can have a glass of wine at the weekend and get ready to go again in a couple of weeks.

Is it worth using OPKs? I was really hopeful this month because we DTD on day 14 which was also EWM day. I wonder if maybe I don't ovulate at the normal time? Have tried to avoid getting into OPKs as I definitely have potential to become completely obsessed and will turn it into really stressful process and put DH off DTD. Maybe worth a try for one month to see when I ovulate? Especially after this weird cycle. Fingers crossed for everyone that AF stays away and sorry to those who got their AF today xxx

reluctant OPKs are definitely worth it in my opinion. First cycle I ov'd on CD17 and this cycle I ov'd on CD11, would have totally missed both if I hadn't been using them.

Yes OPKS are worth it. I found them really helpful. I didn't tell my DH when I was in my fertile week and I didn't obsess really. It was actually exciting to see the sticks change. I got 4 days of positives which is a lot!! And I think my ovaries paid for it a few days later as I had tummy ache. Probably the first time I've ovulated in 13 years!!!! Lol

I know wanting I hoped also. When I was getting a small bit of brown spotting I was thinking it could be implantation bleeding - To top it off AF is so painful and heavy at the moment.

I'm still holding out for you though, have everything crossed you have just tested to early!! I don't want to see you on the December bus or any more 2 week waits

I'm out AF has arrived. Think I might look into opks too. Never used them before and was much like reluctant but I need confirmation of ovulation to give me peace of mind that I am dtd at the right time.

Ah MissMagPie I am sorry about AF. Let's get stuck into OPKs and hopefully we get lucky next time! Xx

Thanks so much all for the tips re OPKs - I will give them a try! I need to try to resist the urge to tell DH as he will freak...

MissMagoie & reluctant Im with you with the OPKs this cycle. I have CB and also the cheap amazon ones.
Think I also want a piece of mind that I am ovulating also.

Not telling DH

Hi all, can I join in? TTC #2, on cycle 10 and AF due on Thursday next week. Currently 7 dpo and am losing faith that this will happen for us now. There are no mitigating factors - regular 28/29 day cycles, no illnesses or problems with DH or I. Just what seems to be a stubborn womb/uterus/egg!

This is my worst time of my cycle. I'm determined not to get my hopes up whatsover, after months of disappointment.

I use opks and just don't tell oh when it's positive/fertile window so that it's not just like we're having sex for that. Seems to work, he doesn't even think about it x

I did use OPKs this month, but frankly I just don't think we DTD enough. 3 times in my fertile week which I thought would do it, but obviously not. Struggling to do it more than that without clearly feeling like it's just for the sake of it. Don't want to put too much pressure on DH either. It's bad enough that I'm so obsessed!

I'm determined not to use OPKs....at least not for 6mths or so. We never go a day without having sex if we're together (DP works shifts) so don't think it would benefit me apart from making me obsess.

Back to symptom spotting....my boobs have been killing all afternoon, I'm constipated (not easy for me as I have IBS and am usually the other end of the spectrum! ) and I have terrible 'pulling pain low on my tummy but also to either side and behind my belly button. Aaargghhhh! No one warned me about the 2ww! Lol
