Fred rules (copied and adapted from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.
  5. Thou shalt not be offended by the word vagina.

JSing lingo
~~~~~~~~~
ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others. Also known as 'the witch', 'bitch witch' and 'that one with the red shiny convertible'
Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!
Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.
Doing a Kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).
POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit), or PIATLH (Tea light holder), PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in! PONF = Pee on Nigel Farage (Self explanatory)
ROC = Receptacle of Choice - what one chooses to use for the task of POAS. Optional decorations include photographs of controversial political leaders.
JIAC = Jizz in a Cup. Preferable to jizz on the carpet or jizz in the eye. This one's for the lucky men in our lives.
Jizz in a bra = how we transport the jizz to the Sperm Queen
Shagging like 'something' = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.
Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into TTC obsession. Warning - this may happen to you if you start trying to POAS at 5dpo. PUT. THE. PISSY. STICK. DOWN. IT'S TOO EARLY!
Contraband (or Cuntraband) = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.
Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!
Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP
SOTM = Shagger of the Month. Awarded with varying regularity to those viroids who go above and beyond EOD shagging in pursuit of that BFP
TWOT - Two Weeks of Torture. AKA Schroedingering!
TWPU - Two Week Piss Up!
Keeping your gingers = fingers crossed, yet another autocorrect development! Shortened to 'gx'
Doing a Lemon = Testing WAAAAAAAY to early!
Miroid - The male compadre of a viroid
Cat - Compulsory
Skittletits - Killer molten painful tits and nipples
Ghost jizz/goat jazz - When the amazing foof sucks up all the jizz - achieved when coming at the same time/nearly the same time.
No, we're not ttc at the moment. Just keeping an eye on things.
JSing DD is good. Currently trying to eat my slipper. So I really wonder why I bother to sterilise!
Fleur & pud I'd be lying if I said it hadn't crossed my mind, but I don't think there's much point poas. AF was actually heavier than its been in a while, & I think I've just eaten something that doesn't agree with me (I've got gluten sensitivity) cos all my allergies are going a bit mental too.
Oh angel do you think heaviness of period indicates bountifulness of womble lining? If that is the case I am ready to onboard triplets!!!! Shock I have never thought of it like that...
zyla wow!! I now see why a cruise may not be such a great idea...
fleur & tink hope you have been shagging for Britain!!!
tink some studies have shown that taking very small doses of aspirin during 2ww can help avoid some types of MC - I was clearly the exception that proves the rule!
Oh jelly I completely misread your earlier post and thought you were a no DTD before marriage gal - which is fine... I was just amazed by your planning & even joining a MN thread in advance.... Clearly a brunette moment Blush
angel hope you are feeling better Flowers
Oh kwick it really is. I have found myself welling up at several points over the last couple of shifts, I genuinely don't know if I will even make it as far as the end of the week without a full on tears and snot breakdown.
Thanks chat, slowly finding my feet....it feels very odd to be back doing something medical again, I feel extremely rusty! Glad you've got some continuity, hope the juniors are coping ok and you're managing to take it easy post bfp.
angelazul · 09/08/2016 08:18
Kwick maybe - I just know that my periods have been very light & short since coming off the pill & my acupuncturist said that was a sign my womb lining wasn't thick enough, prob due to some kinda hormone imbalance (I think this is where progesterone level is important). Although she did also say that periods shouldn't be excessively heavy (like mine were before the pill) as that can also suggest a hormone imbalance Confused Confused Any of you other vidroids knowledgable about this and can explain it better than me?
Question... Would you guys go to Europe (Italy etc round the med) next month if not pregnant? There's been no mosquito transmitted Zika in Europe yet, but they've said there's "moderate" risk of it being introduced around there this season.
I think it can be transmitted up to a month after being bitten and can be transmitted sexually (so if trying to get upduffed..)
Or would you play it safe?
Report
NameChange30 · 09/08/2016 16:16
Zyla
Hell yeah. Last month I went to Montenegro and I was 5-6.5 weeks pregnant. Next month I'm going to France and I'll be 14 weeks pregnant.
Of course it's a personal choice and people have different attitudes to risk. But while there is no Zika virus in Europe I'll continue to go.
Report
Fleurchamp · 09/08/2016 16:47
I think I would risk it Zyla as it hasn't actually spread yet. But then, you need to feel comfortable. If it's worrying you, could you go somewhere else? I went to Sweden when pregnant and had a great time, not too hot and a beautiful country.
Report
ZylaB · 09/08/2016 17:04
fleur the med cruises are the only ones with child spaces. Baltic ones are coming to the end of the season and have no kiddy spaces left. And we really should take dd ;)
Report
angelazul · 09/08/2016 17:15
Zyla I think I prob would, though as Fleur says it would depend if you would feel comfortable personally. No point going if you're going to be on edge the whole time.
As a hopefully reformed POaS addict can I bagsie a place for the new year when we will be ttc #4? I definitely need help steering clear of all temping and timing and POAS at 4dpo type nonsense... May have been guilty in the past of stashing internet cheapie tests for almost daily checking - oh the shame...
zyla I was very proud of myself in Corfu - I only got bitten about 3 times (normally about 10 minimum). I think this was down to:
A) sleeping with window shut and a/c on
B) wearing mosquito repellant on an evening
C) avoiding grassy areas/stagnant water
Funnily enough the mosy lotion I got in spain that moisturises as well worked better than Boots tropical spray - but this may be down to age of products.
Welcome bossy!!!!
Hi Bossy! Placemark away :)
Anovulatory cycles can be normal a couple of times a year, Zyla - hopefully it's just that, or your body settling back down. Onwards.
Hi bossy Smile
zyla I would definitely go. I bloody love Italy, I think it's wise to keep an eye on the news but I think the med is currently fine.
How goes it chat?
Hi all,
Sorry been a bit of a lurker but I'm ready to join in with you lovely ladies.
A wee bit about me:
TTC #1
DPet = 1 frenchie
Cycles of various lengths 27-47 (just to add to the fun)
Zyla I think you'll be fine with Europe as there is no official warnings to avoid areas yet as there is no local transmission of ZIKA virus by mosquitos in Europe. I went to see my Dr the other day as I am going to America at the end of the month (although not Florida) and she assured me that it would be fine but to be on the safe side use insect repellent.
I would make the most of your Europe holidays this year as it may be a different story by next summer.
Ooh newbies! Hi Bossy and Snailer. How old are your DCs Bossy? #4?! You must be mad! Not jealous at all! Snailer my cycles were all over the shop when we were ttc #1. From 35 to 55 days. Just DTD - all the time!
My honourary js baby is 9weeks old already. No idea how that happened! I'll be back here ready to TTC #2 just as soon as I'm brave enough to start shagging again, though I'm breastfeeding so not really any point rushing back into it. She thinks we'll be on the ntnp road, however I'm finding it very odd not being of but not tracking everything and trying to get pg! Plus I still have looks Blush
Glad you've got a scan booked chat really hoping this one is your happy ending Flowers
Tink!!! Hi lovely! How are you? Sorry dr thinks you had a MC. It's just not fair after you've been waiting so long. Hows the prolactinoma these days?
Congratulations on the wedding's just and jelly!!
