CD19 and finally got a positive OPK this morning Smile It's the first time I've ever managed to do an OPK at the right time and get a proper positive. Woop!

peasandquiet · 23/08/2016 12:54

that's great nappingrabbit! I struggle with OPK's too as I drink loads of water my wee is always too clear. Have any of the August ladies trying EPO noticed a difference yet? It's CD7 for me and I am getting plenty of EWCM. Taking 2 tablets a day atm will up to 3 at the weekend and stop taking on day I get positive OPK/I run out as only got 30 pills. Feeling very determined this month worried I'll crash if this isn't our month .?

NappingRabbit · 23/08/2016 13:56

I think that's been my problem in the past peas - I did one this morning at work at about 10am having avoided drinking too much beforehand. I had previously been doing them later in the day when much more hydrated!

I've been taking EPO this month, must remember to stop today!

sk1pper · 23/08/2016 14:03

Same used to opk in the afternok. and this month I've switched to morning as its much more easier to pick up lower levels.

Walikingdeadfan · 23/08/2016 17:08

Hi everyone,

Can I join the september bus too?
ttc #1
But had a mc in June
I'm on CD 16 so about to start 2 week wait.
Hoping to try and avoid over-analysing every symptom, this month!

MrsGsnow18 · 23/08/2016 18:17

Hi walkingdeadfan welcome to the bus. Sorry to hear about your MCFlowers

I was hanging out with a friend and her beautiful 2 month old today Smile sigh if I'd managed to concieve on my first month off the pill I'd have a baby by now...
stupid body

peasandquiet · 23/08/2016 18:34

That's settled then will opk in the morning not afternoon this month to hopefully get a clearer result. Especially in the hot weather I can't go hours in the afternoon without water. Welcome Waliking Smile

Eva30 · 24/08/2016 05:49

welcome walking
peas 3 EPO tablets per day?? Wow, I'm only taking one, how much do they say to take? I haven't noticed any difference yet but only cd8 and don't expect ov til cd15.

sk1pper · 24/08/2016 07:45

I've started taking EPO tablets this cycle. I can't check the strength of them arm but some are higher dosage than others, I'm taking one in the morning and one in the evening. Haven't really noticed any difference yet and should be ovulating soon :/

Does anyone know if you should take them throughout the entire cycle? Or is it just worth stopping in the 2ww.

peasandquiet · 24/08/2016 08:07

You should stop at OV, it can cause your uterus to contract. I've read that some people take 3000mg so I'm doing 2000g until the weekend then 3000mg till I run out. I have huge seven seas ones and I take everything in the morning in one go, hard enough to remember to do that let alone through the day. Eva I think we are in sync cd 8 for me too.

fuzzinmybrain · 24/08/2016 14:14

Hi everyone - I'm joining in!

Age 27 (for one more week!)
TTC #1
Cycle 8
Etd: Fri 2 Sept

Has anyone here tried fertility acupuncture? There was a conversation some months back about a clinic in London but I can't find the thread.

What are your opinions on fertility acupuncture? Can anyone recommend a good clinic in London (there are so many I don't know where to even begin!!) After 8 months TTC I'm keen to try it but need to research it more! Smile

MrsLoz · 24/08/2016 16:45

Supposed to be taking this whole TTC thing as a relaxed approach (like that was ever going to happen)!

However, just been to the loo and noticed spotting when I wiped. Stopped taking my pill on the 10th, had withdrawal bleed on 15th, was not expecting to ovulate till later this week (not temping or using OPK, so just my calculations from withdrawal bleed). Now I'm thinking have I ovulated early, is this implantation etc etc

I think ive been reading too much mumsnet lol

MoonlightMojitos · 24/08/2016 21:30

Cd14 for me, I'm getting impatient already! Was planning on dtd every other day and did on cd9, and 11 but didn't last night due to being in a horrid mood after a baby bomb from a friend (funny that it made me not want to dtd when it should have made me more determined!) And dtd again today. Had ewcm yesterday typically so hoping that was pre ovulation and didn't miss the chance by not managing it last night and caught it today! I wasn't expecting to ov til tomorrow going by my last cycles on cd15&16 so who knows but my ewcm comes and goes so quickly.

Be interesting to see if the epo works and if so might start giving it a go next cycle along with opks to confirm if my guessing is correct.

We need to get a list going to keep track of everyone and approx test dates!

FlashingLights · 24/08/2016 22:47

I'm getting impatient too Moonlight! I'm CD10 I think .. had a very light AF lasting 3 days less than a week after having my implant out so I've counted my cycle from then but who knows what my cycle is really doing?! I had loads of EWCM & temp drop yesterday but negative OPK in the morning & evening, OPK this morning was negative too. So confused!

sk1pper · 25/08/2016 10:24

CD16 for me and had a good strong positive on an OPK just now. Luckily we DTD last night and I'm hoping To again tonight and tomorrow maybe.

lalaland1985 · 25/08/2016 11:28

I've supposed to be on CD27 with at 8 days until testing (according to ovia). This looks positive to me! Hmm

Morning. hope everyone's doing well today.

I'm half way through my first month of charting and already in need of a good talking to! I'm trying to muster up some PMA, but I'm on day 15 today and, apart from some ewcm a couple of days ago there are no signs ovulation is on it's way at all (I've always thought I ov on 14/15). I thought I felt the usual ov pains over the last few days, but OPKs (both clearblue dual hormone and many, many ICs Blush) and temps are not agreeing with that at all. I've just had "not quite positive" IC OPKs fade in and out each day since I started testing on day 7, and a big, fat "low fertility" from CB each day so far. I always thought my cycles were what you'd call regular, but reading around a bit I gather varying between 26 and 32 days might actually be classed as irregular after all (although most are 28 or 29). So, all in all, I'm starting to feel a bit blue about possibilities like PCOS. We're still only a few months into trying, but I am 35 - does anyone think we would we be wise to visit the GP ahead of the six month mark?

Queen0ffaff · 25/08/2016 11:53

lala - it always says that to me, too! I'm sure I'll be multiple posting before long...
Anyway, just to say that I'm no expert (see ramblings above!), but that looks like the peaks I've been getting every day or so for the last 8 days, but I've not counted those as positive just yet as it's still just short of the test line intensity. But I'm really not used to all of this yet, so others will know much better than me!

(That said if they are positives, I've been getting one a day for a week?!!Hmm) This is so confusing, isn't it? I really should have predicted my body performing atypically!

Vanillaradio · 25/08/2016 12:23

Now in tww. Feeling a bit more positive this month than last at least managed to dtd a bit more and around ovulation. Which hasn't been entirely easy due to lack of sleep as ds has now managed to get his excema infected (anyone with any ideas how to get antibiotics into a 2 year old who clamps his mouth shut let me know.... ! )
lala I don't think it's quite positive as not as dark as control line but only been doing opks for 3 months and they seem to be not an exact science!

AVY1 · 25/08/2016 14:04

Hello!

Can I jump on? Long time lurker but only just started posting

Age 30
TTC #2
Cycle 2 and am on day24 since last AF but my cycle lengths been a bit squiffy over the last few months. Not going to test til September so that if AF does arrive I've not disappointed and can crack on with DTD through September

NappingRabbit · 25/08/2016 17:01

Hi AVY1, I'm just a couple of days behind you. TTC #2, cycle 2, CD22. I'm also not testing until September as I have longish cycles (only 2dpo at the moment).

Letswaitandsee · 25/08/2016 19:39

Hey... I thought I'd join in.

CD 21 but think I OVed on CD 11
I've not been actively trying but not been too careful. I have two adult DC and am 43.

I'm in the dreaded TTW and am starting to either PMS or have early pg symptoms. I'm so confused on when to test as I'm 99% sure I ovulated early. I'm due to start AF on or around 1st sept so am going to resist until I'm late. I kinda want to leave it as late as poss because I've had an early MC in 2013 and then a chemical 5 months ago so If that happens again I'd rather put it down to being AF from hell rather than another loss.

My symptoms are really swollen boobs, cramping on the right side ( bit early for AF). Milk tastes really odd, tired (but I'm putting that down to the extremely hot weather). And dizziness. Oh, and I cried while watching great British bake off today because Paul Hollywood said someone's was delicious. Smile
