Hi this is my first ever time on mumsnet I have a son who is twenty months and we were very lucky in getting pregnant with him on our second month of ttc. We are now trying for another baby and wondered whether any mums out there who have had caesareans in the past had trouble conceiving their subsequent babies?

readyandwaiting · 22/02/2007 20:34

i didn't have a cs with ds but wanted to say hello and welcome! how long have you been ttc?

nice to see we're getting a few more people on this thread

FurryFox · 22/02/2007 20:35

Evening girls.

Hi buttercupbabe - cute name by the way . Have no experience with regards to getting pg after cs but I haven't heard of any women that have had problems. Is this your first month ttc?

jhyesmumm - arghhh courses.....I remember those days. Used to have to fight myself to keep wake sometimes

mum2sam - I know what you mean about wondering if you're just imagining feeling sick etc. I thought I felt sicky this morning but then wondered if I actually did

do any of you teach? do any of you watch waterloo road? is teaching really like that??? i was thinking of a career change to teaching but maybe not!

sorry not anything to do with ttc (except can't career change till had family!)

FurryFox · 22/02/2007 20:58

Def not a teacher for me and don't think I'd ever want to be or probably could be for that matter

I reckon it must be a really stressful job at times. I find it hard work looking after one 18 month old let alone thirty 7 year olds or thirty 15 year olds

It's nice to talk about things other than ttc sometimes

On the subjett of careers, before I had dd I was a secretary for an investment bank. Can't say I got much job satisfaction from it, paid ok though

......in real life does anyone really go and stay with their teacher?

readyandwaiting · 22/02/2007 21:59

no, nore would my mum ever have got a job at the same school i was going too

jhyesmum · 24/02/2007 10:02

Thank god it's the week-end!!

Welcome Buttercupbabe!!

Are we all ok?

Still no AF here!

buttercupbabe · 24/02/2007 14:24

Hello. Can feel AF on it's way a bit annoyed but it's only 2nd month of ttc baby number 2. I think it doesn't help when suddenly friends start announcing their pregnant again...

readyandwaiting · 24/02/2007 16:44

hello, no af here either, feel sick, bloated, tired, but no sore boobs which was the real indicator last time - still tested though BFN - had to listen to friend complaining how awful it was to be pg with no 2 again the other day so know exactly what you mean buttercup!

buttercupbabe · 24/02/2007 18:09

Fingers crossed for you readyandwaiting. When is AF due? Just ordered a load of ovulation tests from zoombaby so i'll give those a go this month.

jhyesmum · 24/02/2007 18:37

Hi Girls,

I tested again today.

BFN again.

readyandwaiting · 24/02/2007 19:57

bout BFN jhyesmum, guess that means you still have no idea whats going on - when should next af be due?

hi buttercup - actually not sure when af is due, only had one since stopped bfeeding now on cd42.... just want another one so i can get back to 'normal' cycles and getting ttc properly although prob just decided to stop ttc for the moment, if i get pg after i start back at work i get another year off, if before then get 6 mo so in terms of our quality of life we should wait till May but not sure how i fele about putting it off... sorry turned into long post!

FurryFox · 24/02/2007 20:32

Eveing girls.

Sorry you got antoher BFN jhyesmum. Must be so frustrating for you

Buttercup - Sorry you feel af is on the way. If she does arrive then good luck using the OPK'ss next month

R&W - Def worth waiting if you can get that much extra time off for mat leave but I know when you really want a baby it would be hard to stop and hold off for a while. You can't leave us on this ttc No.2 thread either

CD32 for me today, always thought I was about 30 days but after last month being 38, it looks like this month might be going the same way. Have had cramps on and off all day so am sure af will be here anytime soon.

jhyesmum · 25/02/2007 19:26

Hi Girls!

Guess What?!

AF has arrived today! with a vengance. Batton down the hateches and get the sand bags out, it's going to be a rocky ride!!

Although i'm a little dissapointed, i'm quite relieved as I have felt so poo.

Hope you're all ok xx

FurryFox · 25/02/2007 19:42

Hi yesmum. Well I'm glad you at least know for sure now. Was af actually due around now?

readyandwaiting · 25/02/2007 20:11

hi jhyesmum - glad you have an answer too, nothing worse than just being in limbo waiting - so you missed a month then?

jhyesmum · 25/02/2007 20:48

I was due Tuesday. So yeah, i've missed a month.

I'm already feeling a lot better to be honest!!

A nice present for DS Birthday Party today!!

How are you??

readyandwaiting · 25/02/2007 21:00

i'm doing ok - just trying to work out when my af will arrive... guess shouldn't worry till i don't get one in march then - stopped ttc for now (couple of months) but will keep popping in to say hi!

how was birthday party?

jhyesmum · 26/02/2007 12:01

Hi ready,

I hope you will keep popping in!! You never know, it might just happen anyway!

Party was good. We only had a small one as we are still doing our kitchen so it's a bit manic!

After school we are going shopping to spend DS's birthday money! It's burning a huge hole in his pocket!

buttercupbabe · 26/02/2007 13:29

Afternoon all
jhyesmum - I'm the same as you. Af arrived yesterday it was disappointing but I feel very positive abouth this month. Atleast we can now get back to trying...
RandW - I think getting the extra time off work is a great idea plus by the time you decide to ttc again your cycle might have sorted itself out.
It's so nice to have other people to chat to about ttc.

jhyesmum · 26/02/2007 14:27

hi Buttercupbabe!

I'm really suffering with this AF. She's in there with the hose on and banging the hammer at regular intervals!

At least we're AF buddies!!

readyandwaiting · 26/02/2007 17:11

yes hoping that cycle will have sorted its self out in next couple of months... although to be honest the idea of sex with contraception seems like a complete waste of time realised how bad that sounds! (could give dh a real complex ) just it took us 12 mo last time so the idea of waiting is a little frustrating, i think without af making an appearance though its not really a possibility!

sorry to hear about af buttercup but like you say you can try this month, good luck with the opks

decided to wait till next month before grilling gp bout my af - hoping i might just be like you yesmum and missed a month!

readyandwaiting · 27/02/2007 16:42

anyone else find that during the wait they get every symptom?? today I've been sick and really tired (slept everytime ds has had a nap) and also got cramps... that makes me the equivilent of a hypocondriac (sp?) of pregnancy... what ever that would be called
