Hugh enjoys ISW and his love affair with Doreen. He watches out for skittle tits and weepyitis. Mrs Arseholey Fucknut (Af) shows up when you least want her but brings wine and soft cheese as a consolation prize.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself you're pregnant in the tww That is paramount! It messes with your head and makes you crazy crazier

We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts. We want a fanny full of determined Doreen, not unicorn farts and gnome tears with extra sparkle. We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area.

Post your stats and add your dates. A more lovely, supportive group of ladies you couldn't wish to meet. We've got a few grads sticking around I won't leave and no question is too daft. We have opk experts, cervical mucus management teams and symptom spotters extraudinaire!

FFS lovely GPS need to up their game!

kwick · 17/08/2016 08:16

Sorry jem Flowers

marmitecheesetoast · 17/08/2016 08:22

Hahah kwick yes I was thinking airplane sick bags are what's required! I bet I could get them online. You can buy anything on Amazon these days. Although probably not from the 'used' section Grin

I love how all the cat people have gravitated together on this thread 😽

How are you doing skip? And has your kitty come home yet? Have been thinking of you.

Sorry for BFN jem. Still hoping it's just too early for you and AF stays the fuck away.

lovely that sounds so frustrating. It's so crappy how it seems to be so hit and miss when you see a GP if they are any good or not. There's only one GP I'll see in my practice now as the other two I've seen are both rubbish. Glad you've got a good GP on the case now who knows what she's doing and can explain things to you properly.

peaches are you coming to end of dreaded 2ww too?

Hi damson!

Thanks for the info on where to find stats alice I've found some more info now. Both seem fairly similar (both slightly worse than national average Confused) One apparently has the most birth pools in the country which I quite like the idea of, but the recent CQC report said maternity and obs required improvement. The other one is more of a specialist centre for complicated pregnancies, although 'normal' pregnancies can go there too. It's maternity and obs were fine on CQC report. Hmm obviously it's good that they give you a choice, but at the same time how is the average person supposed to make a decision?!

Where is moose?

Interview was fine thanks all, I wasn't sick so I'm classing it as a success. Not sure the organisation is for me to be honest though. Will see what they say.

Hope everyone else is doing ok.

Phew mammoth post, sorry!

AliceScarlett · 17/08/2016 09:04

Hepscott?? Clearly my phone is now autocorrecting to non words.

Peaches8Posies · 17/08/2016 09:40

Morning ladies, suns out hope everyone has a good day Smile

lovely how frustrating you never got info correct to start with! Glad your on the right path now.

Don't watch the batchelor no idea what I'm watching but freaky dreams again last night! kwick no cheese to blame unfortunately, no idea what's going on in my head Confused

london to early? Hope so, your not out till your out.

marmite yes, I've given it a real good bash this month fingers crossed. Even OH keeps asking when I'm due (although I know he's been keeping track last few months). Think he has his hopes build up too. Glad you feel good about your interview.

skip any sign of cat? Hope he's turned up, one less thing for you to be upset about Flowers

LovelyFishy · 17/08/2016 10:04

I had another mini melt down yesterday, had a small cry with DH. If these blood tests come back with hormone still high I get referred to the endochrine unit at hospital and they re out any other problems then prescribe pills to help. It's just another wait again, reckon it'll be winter before I actually get a chance to get pregnant. It's very draining emotionally this whole lark isn't it!

HepKestrel · 17/08/2016 10:44

Flowers lovely look after yourself.

at least people are trying to get the information for you and possible treatments.

I am a strong believer in "information" helping in most situations.

I hope you don't mind me hanging around here? I have joined the grads thread, and they are also nice ladies, but feel like a bit of an imposter as most of them are very close to term.

for those who are frustrated about the time it takes ttc , i was probably lucky on cycle 9.

LondonJem · 17/08/2016 10:49

It's a lot to take in lovely and I'm sure it's not at all the ttc path you thought you would be going down. It's completely natural that you'd feel upset and I know I would be having a cry too. You ARE moving in the right direction though, having more knowledge about your body and what is going on is a step in the right direction. They are not saying there are terrible things wrong - just a few tweaks and hopefully it'll not be much longer until you get that second line.

I'm feeling fairly rubbish today. No symptoms of AF at all but two snowy white IC tests seems fairly conclusive. Can't quite believe we will be going into cycle 9.

LondonJem · 17/08/2016 10:50

Hep of course stick around. You were cycle 9? That gives me hope

FXSkip · 17/08/2016 11:00

London you're not out till you're out.
Lovely wtaf?! what useless arseholes are you dealing with here!?! I keep convincing myself I too have pcos due to acne and irregular periods then I remember I am still within the year of coming off BCP and I ate half a tub of ice cream for dinner last night. And three choc chip cookies for breakfast.

Thanks all, still no sign of my little cat and I'm devastated. And I'm still bleeding. GAH when will this be over!!

Hep when is your appointment? I need good news :)

HepKestrel · 17/08/2016 11:25

fxskip Flowers my appt is saturday, but am not expecting a scan at this first appt, though hope(and will argue for) i get one soon!

is you cat chipped?

AlexiaB · 17/08/2016 12:29

Skip I hope your bleeding stops soon! I bled/spotted for about 17 days. It was awful. I'm feeling sad about your cat so I can't even begin to imagine how you feelFlowers

Jem sorry about the bfnsFlowers hope it's too early.

Lovely sorry your GP was such a time wasting idiot. Sometimes it's good to have a good cry and let it all out.

Hep I would be demanding a scan very soon for peace of mind but also because you surely don't want to miss the boat on the NT measurements? And of course staySmile February 2017 thread could be an option too.

HepKestrel · 17/08/2016 12:48

Alexia

see, its things like this i know nothing about "miss the boat on the NT measurements" and i have heard others refer to "don't miss the window for the 12 week scan" ? what these NT measurements?

if i'm 13w0d today, a scan next week would be week 13 or 14.

HepKestrel · 17/08/2016 13:03

ah so according to MN, the 12 week dating scan is normally between 8 and 14 weeks, though NICE recommendation is between 11 and 13.
So i should be able to get it in week 14.

AlexiaB · 17/08/2016 13:11

Hep your 12 weeks scan is a dating scan but also a Nuchal Translucency scan if you opt for it (almost all do). This scan has to be done between 11w2 and 13w6. You should Google for more info but they measure the fluid at the back of baby's neck and depending on the amount present it can be a sign of Downs. They measure that and take bloods and give you a score i.e. 1:10000. I've never got to a 12 week scan but this is what I know from friends and Dr Google.

Ps. if you want to find out the sex there's a high possibility by 13w4 a good sonographer would be able to tell you (although they're not meant to say until 20 weeks or whatever the Trust policy is).

kavanaughkj · 17/08/2016 13:27

Hey all. I'm out for cycle 8 - AF arrived bang on schedule yesterday morning. Hoping you're luckier than me, Jem - though it's heartening to hear cycle 9 was your lucky month Hep, I'm now on that!

Better news job wise though - I've been offered the new job I was going for and handed in my notice today to my current job. I'll miss them all very much but the prospects at the new one are very exciting. :) It's nice to have something to celebrate after all this stress. Now just have to hope hubby gets his job before I start at my new location - it'll be a tough 2 months money wise with him out of work at the moment, and my current employer pays in advance, while my new one pays in arrears.

Flowers to you Lovely. Sorry you had to go through that - and Skip, I really hope your kitty is found soon.

HepKestrel · 17/08/2016 13:51

sorry kav Flowers

LondonJem · 17/08/2016 14:36

Sorry kav. We are on the same cycle and cycle day almost! Better luck for us both for cycle 9.

AF not here but bfn so just needs to get a move on really.

Skip I hope your little cat is back asap. Did you say it was 3 days last time?

LovelyFishy · 17/08/2016 14:36

Hep of course you should keep hanging around here, we love hearing from you!!

Bummer about the snowy whites Jem, they've very depressing to look at I know. Sad

Skip keeping everything crossed for your little kittycat.

Kav sorry about AF but yay on the new job, congratulations!! GrinFlowers I'm applying for a new one myself this afternoon, exciting times!

miwelaisjacydo · 17/08/2016 15:52

Hi been so busy lately not been able to catch up. The other day thought AF was here as had a tiny bit of spotting. Usually by the end of day after spotting AF will appear. Now nothing not even stomach cramps. Just wish AF would appear as am convinced am not pregnant.

LondonJem · 17/08/2016 22:32

In similar spot miw - I'm day 33 and been spotting on and off. Just impatient now for full AF so I can stop the mind games and move onto cycle 9. Won't be long for both of us to know, hopefully.

HepKestrel · 18/08/2016 06:54

Fx for you miw and jem. Your not out till your out.

LondonJem · 18/08/2016 07:37
