Hugh enjoys ISW and his love affair with Doreen. He watches out for skittle tits and weepyitis. Mrs Arseholey Fucknut (Af) shows up when you least want her but brings wine and soft cheese as a consolation prize.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself you're pregnant in the tww That is paramount! It messes with your head and makes you crazy crazier

We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts. We want a fanny full of determined Doreen, not unicorn farts and gnome tears with extra sparkle. We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area.

Post your stats and add your dates. A more lovely, supportive group of ladies you couldn't wish to meet. We've got a few grads sticking around I won't leave and no question is too daft. We have opk experts, cervical mucus management teams and symptom spotters extraudinaire!

Skip so sorry to hear your news. SadFlowers Glad you've got lots of support IRL.

I just had my smear test (what larks!) and had the most amazing nurse ever!! I mentioned I was a bit late coming as I'd assumed I'd be pregnant by now. She had loads of useful information and in general made me feel loads better about the whole ttc thing. Smile

Alice I think we've all been there, I looked mine up recently! Try to hold onto your zen!

marmitetoast1 · 28/07/2016 16:53

Oh that's good lovely! Please do share any useful or interesting info she gave you! Smile

Still in the early days of 2ww here and managing to stay relatively sane. For now..... Doubt that'll last in week two!

LovelyFishy · 29/07/2016 08:12

So the nurse said dtd every other day, which I said is what we aim for but I sometimes feel guilty for not putting in more effort over the key few days! She said no as it takes sperm 48hrs to regenerate proper swimmers again. Also didn't seem too keen on opk's and said cm is the best measure. She also wasn't surprised at all that it had been a year and I wasn't pregnant yet, these things do sometimes just take time. Overall I just felt very reassured! Smile

Glad you're still staying sane Marmite!

AliceScarlett · 29/07/2016 08:55

Good info. Glad I've given up on the FW.

HepKestrel · 29/07/2016 11:38

hmmm..... hadn't weighed my self for a month, and i have put on weight. possibly just holiday related......... but last time i weighed this, I was on the pill......

lots of spots too....

FFS i got a negative blood result and i'm still fu&king symptom spotting

marmitetoast1 · 29/07/2016 12:33

All sounds like good advice! Why was she not keep on OPKs lovely? Glad it left you feeling reassured anyway!

Oh hep it's totally understandable, I'd definitely be the same! Have you made another appt with GP yet? I think you should.

A girl at work who I know a bit, but not well, she works in another team in our office and is a bit of a joker, just said to me in the kitchen, infronr of several other colleagues - 'hey, you've been married over a year now when you gonna get broody and start making babies?!' !!!! Gaaaaah. Did not know what to say. How is that in any way acceptable ffs.

LondonJem · 29/07/2016 18:10

Lol Alice I think I've joined you. I was googling tilted uterus and miscarriage last night Hmm I have a tilted uterus but I'm not bloody pregnant why am I even googling this? Envy

Re the jizz, the official gp line is 3 times a week, I think upping the regularity can't hurt.

Fishy that's the most positive smear test experience I've heard Smile my best mate is an obstetrician and tells me continuously that's it's totally normal for it to take this long too. It is reassuring but I am still so impatient Envy

Hep I've been symptom spotting straight after my period Hmm kept thinking it might have been a heavy implantation bleed. Ridiculous.

Eurgh that is so unacceptable from your colleague marmite Angry my mum keeps making comments and even said "me and your dad didn't even try to get pregnant"!!!! Great, thanks mum.

I got over my mini freak out earlier this week and realised it was just lh fluctuating. Am awaiting eggo and enjoying the DTD. The rest is up to Mother Nature. Anything I can offer you mother? Wine?Chocolate???

TryingToBeZenKestrel · 29/07/2016 18:28

My last smear test wasn't good... She let go of it to note something.... I could feel it twist, so I had to grab it before it twisted a full 9deg. Not comfortable at the best of times!

TryingToBeZenKestrel · 29/07/2016 18:28

LovelyFishy · 29/07/2016 22:16

It's hard to resist sometimes isn't it Hep? I've been sort of symptom spotting all month. I've had one of those not-quite-there-bugs which has basically given me all the symptoms I'd expect of early pregnancy! On/off nausea, headaches, heartburn, tired all the time...gah!! I really hope you get some good answers from the doctor soon and that AF arrives so you can get back to normal (if any of us are still normal!).

Marmite she said opk's weren't very accurate. I guess we can all relate to that a bit, how often have we talked about 2 positive lines in 1 month or things like that?

Jem I know right? I wasn't expecting to come out of a smear test feeling uplifted!

AliceScarlett · 30/07/2016 09:38

AF got me Sad

Mooseville · 30/07/2016 10:00

Aaah boo. Sorry Alice. What a bitch she is...

Hope you can manage to enjoy your weekend regardless. WineCakeFlowers

TryingToBeZenKestrel · 30/07/2016 11:44

sorry Alice Flowers
(same old kestrel, just needed to change name)

miwelaisjacydo · 30/07/2016 22:17

Just thought I would come and say hi am miw 27 TTC1 and have been on and off this thread since January ish ... Have taken a few months out but wanted to say hello 🖐

TryingToBeZenKestrel · 31/07/2016 10:29

Hi miw

TryingToBeZenKestrel · 31/07/2016 10:51

Just found something worse than the commonality between AF symptoms and pg symptoms. - the commonality between menopause and pg symptoms.....

Back to the GP for me. Think I may step away from this thread. Thank you all for listening to my rants and craziness. I will keep my fx for every single one of you.

Enjoy the DTD, and look after yourselves.

LondonJem · 31/07/2016 10:54

Sorry Alice, hope you're alright. Onwards and up to next cycle.

Hello miw how are you?

Zenkestral - good luck, hope you can pop back before long with a bfp to tell us about.

miwelaisjacydo · 31/07/2016 11:03

Zenkestral good luck xx

London am good thanks DH and I trying again now so all is good. We are not charting or temperature reading or symptom spotting just going for it 😆 Because doing all those things just made me stressed out!!

Honestly this TTC lark is seriously hard going isn't it !!!

LondonJem · 31/07/2016 12:04

Miw it really is

#freak out alert#

I'm full of cold. Horrible ears blocked can't breathe head hurts cold. Been taking decongestant daily since Thursday.

Have since discovered decongestant can dry up cm and prevent conception Envy

I still have cm, eggo is due any min , have I stuffed my chances? Do colds flu prevent conception anyway?

Mooseville · 31/07/2016 21:35

What's bloody worse jem is that being congested is a sign of bloody pregnancy too! What else can they throw at us???
Don't worry about it though, this is your chilled month - if it happens this month, it'll happen whether or not you've a cold. It'll happen because one little swimmer fights his way up and hits jackpot against all the odds stacked against him... PMA

Hey miw how's it going? Nice to see you back.

kestrel good luck, and keep us informed of any good news!

marmitetoast1 · 01/08/2016 08:11

Good luck kestrel hope your GP appointment is more helpful this time and hope to hear back from you soon with good news!

Hope you're feeling better Jem and agree with moose this is your chilled month so don't worry about it just go with the flow, you still have cm which is positive!

Hi miw!

I'm finding its beginning to get a little harder to keep a tight lid on the crazy now I'm entering second week of 2ww. Woke up with a chin full of spots yesterday Envy
CD 29 ~9DPO
These long cycles are so bloody annoying!

LondonJem · 01/08/2016 08:22

I think chilled has gone out the window Sad I POAS 6 times yesterday Confused just couldn't understand why still not seeing a positive OPK on day 16. At 9pm it was pretty dark but still not fully. Will try again today.

Not sure how I've ended up so stressed again. I think ovulating might make me a bit crazy? Confused

Marmite I struggle with a 29 day cycle, God knows what I'd be like with longer to wait. Sounds like it's not too much longer for you now. Fx.

Si1ver · 01/08/2016 11:50

I'm sorry things are so bad at the moment Kestrel I hope things improve.

I was all 'going to be totally chilled this cycle and just have sex every other day, but NO PRESSURE I'M BREEZY'. Suffice to say, I'm not fucking chilled or breezy and DTD has become less laid back and more timetabled.

marmitetoast1 · 01/08/2016 12:57

Maybe you need to step away from pissy sticks Jem and just know you will be OVing anytime now and try to just enjoy dtd?! A lot easier said than done though, I know!

KatOnATinRo0f · 01/08/2016 17:29

Hello old friends!!!!

Anyone upduffed yet???
