Hugh enjoys ISW and his love affair with Doreen. He watches out for skittle tits and weepyitis. Mrs Arseholey Fucknut (Af) shows up when you least want her but brings wine and soft cheese as a consolation prize.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself you're pregnant in the tww That is paramount! It messes with your head and makes you crazy crazier

We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts. We want a fanny full of determined Doreen, not unicorn farts and gnome tears with extra sparkle. We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area.

Post your stats and add your dates. A more lovely, supportive group of ladies you couldn't wish to meet. We've got a few grads sticking around I won't leave and no question is too daft. We have opk experts, cervical mucus management teams and symptom spotters extraudinaire!

Hey Kat, I've been here since Jan. Hope you're OK.

Kwick Onwards and up-duffed-wards with ivf, how come it lasts two cycles?

Jem I saw that cute baby on Insta and felt for you :(

Where's Stumbly?

I don't have a FW anymore, I'm not tracking, no idea what cd I'm on, I can't talk about dpo because I really don't know when I ovulate. Just dtd as much as possible... DH is putting the effort in, but I'm not getting much jizzHmm

marmitetoast1 · 19/07/2016 08:20

Dtd every other day londonlady, not every day! That would definitely be a bit much for me!

Oh GPs are so annoying like that Hep I've had to ring up for a lot of blood results in the last year or so and it used to drive me mad! Mine has an hour set aside to ring up for results and that's it! Fx you get through to them today and fx for good news.

I've just about got myself back down to my 3 cups of tea a day but still hankering after the proper coffee. Going to have one at the weekend! Soo hot, am melting on bus already!

Kwick I don't know if this is really obvious but I used to take loads of ibuprofen on my period and managed to cut it out by using curaheat period pain patches that you stick on your tummy, stay warm all day. Probably not the best in this weather, but they really helped ease the cramps for me. Hopefully none of us will need to worry about period pain for a while soon anyway!!!

kwick · 19/07/2016 09:08

Thanks marmite. I try to avoid ibruprofen though... Not sure why - as that is when you are upduffed Hmm not sure anymore... Not enough storage space in my brain!

alice I did not understand the 2 cycle thing either when it is "natural" IVF but it is said to improve egg quality - I will be taking Norethisterone from day 14 to day 25. Similar protocol when you are on stimulated IVF - they quieten down ovulation and then you take a shed load of hormones in the second cycle to stimulate the ovaries and hopefully get loads of eggs (that bit did not work for me). But I am working on logic that it only takes one egg (and some magic potion) to make a baby.

marmitetoast1 · 19/07/2016 09:20

kwick yes I've been avoiding ibuprofen too, the period pain heat patches really helped me stop taking it!

LovelyFishy · 19/07/2016 09:35

I stopped taking ibuprofen too, glad I'm not the only one as I was worried I was thinking ahead too far! It used to be my go-to pill for headaches, how I miss it.

Alice we're always hearing stories about people who stopped tracking and got bfp so fx for you! Is your OH having anxiety performance issues?

InspectorPenguin · 19/07/2016 12:34

Hi Kat, nice to see you again!

Sorry about BFN, Alexia, I can imagine how disappointing that must have been for you. I hope you get some answers soon either way.

Alice I hope the non-tracking works for you. I'm doing the same this cycle since I ran out of cheapy OPKs last month and decided not to re-stock. Annoyingly, I can't help but know that this coming weekend should be my fertile window if I have another 33/35 day cycle so I still have that at the back of my mind.

I hope everyone is enjoying this amazing weather. I went for a run before work and it was baking hot; about to try another one now to make up for the fact I couldn't manage a long one earlier. I suspect I'll regret it after 5 minutes!

WingingIt83 · 20/07/2016 11:40

I hope everyone enjoying the hot weather. I'm looking on the brightside and thinking how uncomfortable the heat must be if you are pregnant and can't drink pimms!

HepKestrel · 20/07/2016 11:55

So I rang up for results, only to be told that all they could tell me was that the results were available, and if the results weren't "normal" I would have been contacted. I requested my actual results. They then said OK, we will ask the GP and get back to you. A later phone call in the afternoon to say I can collect my results from the surgery. Sigh. So I assume I am not pg, and had a nice glass of wine last night.

AudreyBradshaw · 20/07/2016 12:07

I hope everyone enjoying the hot weather. I'm looking on the brightside and thinking how uncomfortable the heat must be if you are pregnant and can't drink pimms!

You're right wing it's hideous! I want to place an ice pop under each tit and sit in a cold bath for the forseeable future. I read 'pimms' and could almost taste the ice cold fruity deliciousness! Need to catch up on last few days of posts...

FXSkip · 20/07/2016 12:23

bahahahahah I've been lurking (still) like a wierdo as I've missed the
chat so much starky you crack me up - wheres the blog posts at?!!

Hi Kat - I got off the bus rather unexpectedly, but still doesn't feel real (despite sleeping about 18 hours a day and still having huge bags under my eyes and feeling permanently hungover AND on the brink of AF)

I see girls rocking up to the grads thread who haven't been trying, and it makes me so grateful to have had this thread and all the knowledge I have from it - so thanks to everyone for all the support!

LovelyFishy · 20/07/2016 12:48

Teehee Starky, that is a rather amusing image!

Skip you're welcome to stay here as long as you like, we love having our grads about! How're you doing?

Hep boo to your doctors, they sound like they're making a mountain out of a mole hill. Mine were good with bloods but I had to chase them today for date for internal ultrasound (2nd August).

I've got annual leave this week and have been very lazy and enjoying the sun in my garden! Grin

FXSkip · 20/07/2016 14:03

Thanks lovely I'm doing just fine, just getting fat and frustrated I can't tell anyone - the weird thing is if I'd waited like I'd planned to and tested on the 4th August, I'd only have to wait 2 weeks for scan, but I tested early and now I have to wait 7 weeks, which is excruciating!!

what news have I missed here? I'm imagining the rest of the thread off to pop iced lollies in their bras...

kwick · 21/07/2016 06:53

Hep your GP surgery sounds pants. How can a pregnancy test have a normal result???????

starky you crack me up - such a way with words!

Fxskip I agree the 2ww is a breeze compared to the wait for a scan. Hang in there!!!

On Eurostar - off to Paris for the day. Wish it was to do "le shopping" but no I have a day if meetings Envy train is absolutely chocka... Real pain as I need to do some work and do not really have space... Oh well... May catch up on some sleep instead...
Only 2 more days and then off work for 2 weeks!!!

emalady · 21/07/2016 07:11

kwik and hep I would assume normal is negative as a positive would have needed acting on. You can normally make a telephone appointment with a GP if you want to talk through the results more?

2 weeks off work sounds really good. I do some cover work so I'm especially busy now everyone else is off on their jollies.

starky beautiful imagery, it must be really tough. Slimming world suggests low calorie lemonade with balsamic vinegar and fruit as a healthy pimms, might work in pregnancy, or rub it in more.

AF is due today, hopefully she won't show, not had my usual tummy upset and depression but also been a bit calmer. DH is going for SA next month if no BfP so at least we will know more.

Si1ver · 21/07/2016 10:55

Balsamic vinegar and lemonade emalady? that sounds vile. I'm almost tempted to try Iit and see if it's as bad as I am expecting.

I'm sorry it's not the news you wanted hep

My period tracker beeped up a ONE DAY TO P DAY reminder this morning. Oh really Period Tracker, really? Like I haven't been counting down the last two weeks with painfull precision? I'm still showing bfn on testing this morning, so I'll be buying tampax this evening.

marmitetoast1 · 21/07/2016 18:53

Sorry to hear it seems it wasn't the news you wanted hep have you managed to speak to actual GP and get any further info? Doctors receptionists seem to be a particularly special brand of obstructive and unhelpful I find!!

Low calorie lemonade and balsamic vinegar sounds vile?! If you like beer I think Becks Blue are the best non-alcohol-but-like-alcohol drink out there (as long as ice cold) been drinking them quite a bit while lowering booze intake for Ttc.

silver your period tracker sounds like she needs a slap.

Still no sign of anything on the OPKs here... Or any ewcm..Going camping at the weekend with a couple of friends...will have to hope we can dtd without too much rustling WinkGrin

Mooseville · 21/07/2016 19:10

Hi all,
Just checking in... Fertile week upcoming but I'm away with work and only home Fri and Sat - we're staying out at a family members on Sat so going to have to swing into action Fri eve/Sat morning. DP out with the boys Friday, he'd better not come home too drunk!! Lol

hep that's not very good from the Drs.

Balsamic vinegar and lemonade sounds vile!!

purpleladybird · 22/07/2016 02:29

Sorry Hep that is actively unhelpful from your surgery.

I'm CD43 (normally 37ish) still no AF. Need to pluck up the courage to test again and being this phantom pregnancy to a close one way or another. Confused

Si1ver · 22/07/2016 06:44

Good luck with DTD and s soberish DP Moose and fingers crossed for your test purple

HepKestrel · 22/07/2016 08:11

kwick ema that was exactly my initial reaction and also my conclusion. Have been away this week, but will collect results today. Have now missed 2 AF, and have stopped counting. Still bfn with poas.

Once I get my neg. I'll move on.

AliceScarlett · 22/07/2016 08:51

Good luck Hep Flowers

InspectorPenguin · 22/07/2016 09:15

Happy Friday everyone. Hope we get some good news on here soon...

Fingers crossed for you Purple!
Hep I hope you can move forwards soon too and know one way or another what's going on.

Jem, hope you are okay if you're reading this and enjoying a less stressful cycle Flowers

purpleladybird · 22/07/2016 11:45

BFN.

That's with a 10miu, fmu test. So a conclusive no.

Also means I'm joining the long cycles club.

Guess I'll just have to wait for AF then start again Sad

InspectorPenguin · 22/07/2016 12:10

Sorry Purple SadCake

purpleladybird · 22/07/2016 13:17

Thanks InspectorPenguin just want AF to arrive now so can try again.

Does anyone know whether my doctor would be willing to discuss irregular cycles? 'Only' been trying since the start of the year (feels like an eternity) so know they won't do fertility tests but wondered if they could offer advice on regulating cycles.

OH just tells me to chill as 'we will have a baby'. Unhelpful.
