Hi all

I thought I'd start the June bus as I'm getting impatient!

I'm 31 (for a bit longer anyway), TTC#1. DH and I agreed to start TTC in May, but won't be ovulating till about the 24th. ETD 8th June! Feeling terrified and excited at the same time.

Join me if you will! Smile

476 messages we've posted so far on this bus!

And we're not even in June yet!

MizzisDee · 31/05/2016 11:11

Exciting that we have people testing already. Looking forward for some POSITIVE news.

I am now in my 2ww, we managed 5/6 days dtd in my FW so I guess I have as good a chance as any. Now I have to resist the symptom spotting.

BusyNothings · 31/05/2016 11:28

Eee exciting for all those testing today fingers crossed!

I'm having my implant out this afternoon so today for the first time in my life I will be contraception free. I know it could take a while to get to "normal" but even that fact is a bit scary/exciting!

babydances · 31/05/2016 12:14

Good luck busy hope it doesn't hurt to get out.

ThePartyArtist · 31/05/2016 12:17

I'm desperate to test (again)! Ovia keeps moving my 'period due' date as I tell it it hasn't yet arrived. I have got negative results so far. Today it is officially 4 weeks since last period started so I think I really am 'late' now... in the past few months the gaps between periods has ranged from 2 weeks to 4 weeks but never more... then again maybe it could vary by 2 weeks in the other direction (i.e. be 6 weeks late)... I think I am getting a bit obsessed with peeing on sticks!

babydances · 31/05/2016 12:27

Poor u partyartist I was in the same position where my cycle was 49 days. I think due to stress, I hope so anyway. And I poas far too many times and it cost me a fortune! I must of spent about £80. Dp wasn't too impressed Confused
I'd put the sticks down and wait it out for your pocket and sanity xxxx Flowers

It's a busy bus!!!

Earlier today I came across a person wearing a name badge and her name is the same one me and DH would use for a girl's name and she had our surname too!

And now I'm in the car and the car in front of us has the letters BFP on the registration plate!!!

It's a sign!

TheImprobableGirl · 31/05/2016 12:48

Good luck writer and laura and everyone!!! Fx

TheImprobableGirl · 31/05/2016 12:49

busynothings I fell pregnant straight after my implant came out so you never know!!

BeBopTalulah · 31/05/2016 13:52

I caved last night and tested with an early test (9 dpo) but it was a bfn Sad Looking forward to making a proper attempt this month, as we didn't track or DTD on many fertile days this cycle. I was under some sort of illusion that I would be able to just 'let it happen' and wouldn't be tracking Grin Would a couple of glasses of wine be out of order (as I've had a bfn)?

babydances · 31/05/2016 13:57

bebop it's still early days testing wise so there's still a good chance of a bfp. I'm not drinking but when dc1 was a surprise I drank before I found out I was pregnant like most people I imagine and she was fine

BusyNothings · 31/05/2016 14:13

Theimprobablegirl wow well done you! If that's not creepy

Lol my appointment is at 5.20 and if I remember rightly from the last one it hurt like a something so that'll be fun. It's half term though so I'm just sat at home waiting. Very bizarre day.

bebop that's sucks hopefully you will get your BFP soon! Also a glass of wine sounds yum Wine

BertieBotts · 31/05/2016 15:54

Writer Wow!

Writerwannabe83 · 31/05/2016 16:21

bertie - earlier this year on the first cycle of TTC DC2 me and DH were musing one night about boys/girls name we'd use if I got pregnant and decided on the ones we liked the most.

The next day I was driving and stopped to let another car out in front of me and across the length of bumper was printed the girl's name we had chosen!

It put the biggest smile on my face and it felt like a sign that I was going to get pregnant and we were going to have a girl. I got my BFP about two days later Smile

BertieBotts · 31/05/2016 16:33

That's lovely :) I love things like that.

sleepyMe12 · 31/05/2016 16:36

Quick question, Do you count the first day of ovulation from when to test from or the last day IYSWIM?

Writerwannabe83 · 31/05/2016 16:48

The last day of what?

sleepyMe12 · 31/05/2016 17:01

Ovulation. My app shows a fertile period of 5 days

wispaxmas · 31/05/2016 17:06

Ovulation happens on one day at the END of your fertile period.

sleepyMe12 · 31/05/2016 17:13

Thank you x

Writerwannabe83 · 31/05/2016 17:27

I thought ovulation was on Day 4 of the fertile week and then conception can still occur on day 5?

Who knows Grin

A woman I know was tracking her temperatures and using OPKs at the same time and found her body didn't actually ovulate until 48 hours after her positive OPK Shock

wispaxmas · 31/05/2016 17:40

Writer, I think an egg can survive for up to 24 hours, but chances of conceiving from DTD once you have already ovulated are slim. It takes something like 8 hours for sperm to get to the Fallopian tubes if that great sperm race program is to be believed (thanks to whoever suggested that hilarious special a few weeks ago!). But you count from the day you actually ovulate in terms of testing.

Writerwannabe83 · 31/05/2016 17:42

8 hours? Shock

Bloody hell! The little Spermies must be exhausted by the time they get there Grin
