I wouldn't care about Christmas or January if it wasn't for DS birthday and me not wanting to be away from him, but it still might happen- babies come when they want (or get evicted...)

Laughed at the overshares! I've heard about the cough medicine for EWCM. I get an insane amount so I've not tried it but I've heard of plenty of people who have!

I need to reassess my stats. Yesterday was just spotting so I'm calling today CD1. I might dig the laptop out later and update the stats list!

Thanks Han and Sunny it was cruel as we got sooo excited about our little mini Minty but it just wasn't meant to be. So onwards and upwards! Looking forward to sharing our journeys

Yeah I bet. Did you test early? I've heard quite a few people say they got pregnant again very quickly after a chemical so hope that's the case for you too! What cycle are you on?

I did, my first positive was 4 days before AF was due using FRER's, I had bfp's until AF was 5 days late and they then turned negative and the rest followed soon after so I wont be testing early next time! I have heard the same too, so fingers crossed. I think I said cycle 3 above but it's cycle 4!

Oh sorry yeah you said your chemical was cycle 3, my fault. Is that not a miscarriage then though if it happened after AF was due? I thought a chemical was just before AF was due and then AF arrives on time? Sorry if that's an insensitive question.

Sunny I wasn't sure about this myself but when my DP called NHS 111 (he was panicking, bless him!) they said a chemical pregnancy is actually a very early miscarriage - I think (pls anyone correct me if I am wrong!) a chemical or 'very early miscarriage' can happen up to 6 weeks, before anything can be detected on ultrasound scan. Basically, the sperm fertilises the egg but the egg then fails to survive. So unsure if AF has anything to do with it but I was 4 weeks and 2 days when my tests turned negative. But anyways, here's to lots of BFP's!!

Oooh and I forgot to ask, what is etd on the list above?

Minty welcome and good luck. Sorry for the chemical, I had one last year. I wasn't trying at the time and was still horrible. It is a very early miscarriage

Sunny - that's like me but with my dates it won't be Xmas now. But I don't want to be away from dd on her birthday. But now I'm cycle 10 I'm desperate:(

minty ah right, makes sense I guess. Really shit though. When do you expect AF this time? It might be slightly delayed after the chemical from what I've heard people say. Haha yeah it wasn't etd last time I was on the buses!

Kellz did it take a while to conceive your DD? How old is she again? That's why we're starting early though, no idea what will happen this time. I'm really hoping to get pregnant before I get stressed with it. How are you feeling about cycle 10?

She was a surprise I think that's why I feel so rotten. Got married went on honeymoon and found out I was expecting. She's 3 now. I'm starting to stress that there's something wrong with me. I wasn't aware that we would take so long. My hubby is going to drs next week and then I'll go after, he wants to explain it all. Hopefully you don't take too long to fall xx

THe cough syrup I have gone for is Robitussin - to be honest I was searching for OPK sticks and it came up as 'people who bought these also bought' so I was interested!

Trying to persuade my DH to do the SMEP which I'd not heard of until today - he thinks that might be a bit of pressure on him!!

Never heard of that hope it works, we have tried SMEP once and my hubby thought that but was still nice but just didn't enjoy dtd as much as it was very planned and you had to do it certain days if you get what I mean x

Kellz ah that's hard then, did you presume you would get pregnant quite quickly?

What do you actually do during the SMEP? I've read loads of people have tried it but I've not properly looked in to it!

Just googled it and do you start DTD at cd8?! That's way too early for me because I have 33-35 day cycles. But we are planning to just DTD a few times a week and then every other day from about cd17 for a week or so, so it's not too dissimilar to my plan I don't think?! Other than I won't be doing OPKs. Last time I temped so I just stopped a few days after I thought I'd confirmed OV. But hoping not to have to get in to that this time!

Sunny I guess you'd adapt to fit your own cycle!

My poor DH is struggling with anxiety so was too stressed to dtd - I suggested we put off TTC this month but he says he wants to, just wasn't feeling up to it last night.

Sunny. I thought I'd fall within a few months. That's what I get for being so naive lol.
Yeah smep is a lot of dtd.
Dh works nights and I work days so we struggled a bit.

everdene yeah I would start much later. But I'll stick to my own plan anyways! It is pressure for DHs but I do think in the grand scheme of things they massively have the easier job!!

Kellz yeah I guess most people go in to it expecting to conceive reasonably quickly. Are you not managing to DTD much then?

If I struggled for dd I would have expected it. We manage to dtd quite often, he works just round the corner from home so comes home for his break around ovulating time. And I get up earlier in mornings, but the cycle we did smep my cycle was longer than usual lol xx

I just suggested SMEP to my OH and I could have sworn he did a little squeal of delight!! I then mentioned to him that it would scupper his alleged plans for a boy and the look on his face could not have been more torn if he'd tried... OHs definitely have the easier end of the deal!!

lucy that's hilarious! Def think OH's have it easier. Hi minty so sorry to hear you have had a rough time. Thinking of you too kellz, holding out hope it is your month! CD21 today and think I might be ovulating; EWCM and a positive OPK plus a temp dip this morn. DTD this morning, a couple of nights ago and plan to try again tonight so fx. Cycles have been crazy long so if it is tonight then this will be a week earlier than my shortest cycle to date post implant so fx! Maybe Angus castus is doing the trick, but also mindful I've had false LH surges most months so we will see. I'd be overjoyed at the prospect of a 35 day cycle though; the last one was 56! Anyone else OVing around now?
