When i fell with DD i didnt even try now im cycle 10 :( thought it would be quick.

I normally get a few days but this time ive already had it for a week! and im no where near ov.

han have you spoke to gp? which opks do you use, i never got positive on opk but when i used my monitor i peaked most months

everdene i agree with you if you get periods likely still ovulating thats what keeps me going when i dont get positives,

Have you tried out preseed if you dont get much ewcm, its meant to help the swimmers get to the egg, it acts like ewcm

Haven't spoken to doc but still very early days so will see how it goes! I used the One Step strips from Amazon, they worked so well for me last time!

everdene · 12/04/2016 17:37

Kellz I've just got some Preseed, haven't tried it yet though Wink

SunnyDays1987 · 12/04/2016 17:39

Hi hanflan I was just debating joining this but didn't know if I was brave enough. I'm on the Feb FB group and sent you the OPKs last time. Scary to be thinking of TTC2 isn't it!

SunnyDays1987 · 12/04/2016 17:40

Oh and stats:

Age: 28
TTC2
Awaiting AF next week and then will be on cycle 1!
BFP due end of May ish

Kellz92 · 12/04/2016 17:57

Hanflan I'm sure you'll be ovulating. I have one step hpts but it was a home bargains opk, need some one step ones.

Good luck sunny days x

I have downloaded Fertility Friend and already have a digital thermometer but it's not a BBT one - do I really need to buy another thermometer? Surely it'll show a rise even if it's not as sensitive? Just wondering if I can avoid searching one out!

Kellz92 · 12/04/2016 22:49

My bbt was £3.50 or something from ebay. I normally temp except this cycle dd has been poorly and in hospital so lack of sleep would make it inaccurate. If you don't want another id give it a go x

SunnyDays1987 · 13/04/2016 08:01

everdene might was dirt cheap from eBay too. Probably depends how sharp your temp rise is to whether you can get away with a less sensitive one!

kellz I temped last time but I'm not going to this time because if DS wakes in the night it'll throw it off. He also varies on his morning wake ups so I don't think it would be accurate. Hope your DD is ok

everdene · 13/04/2016 08:19

Fab, I'll order one in that case!

I am epileptic so I had decided not to temp as seizures can make it inaccurate, but I'll try it and see if it's worthwhile!

SunnyDays1987 · 13/04/2016 09:04

Oh I didn't know that Everdene. Will you have to do anything different in pregnancy?

everdene · 13/04/2016 09:24

I'll have to be under a consultant I think - it is very mild but a factor nonetheless. But apparently for some women it actually helps because the hormones which can cause seizures are lowered because of the pregnancy!

Then if I do have a baby I'll probably have to express at night so DH can do some of the feeds so I don't disturb my sleep too badly, which definitely does cause seizures.

hanflan · 13/04/2016 09:26

sunny oh hiiiiii! Oh my goodness it's fab to have someone here who was on the buses with me last time too. And of course I remember you Grin

hanflan · 13/04/2016 09:26

p.s. I actually got a positive opk this morning! Shocker! All my ewcm is totally gone though. I'll ignore that part.

everdene · 13/04/2016 10:12

Han get shagging! Wink

hanflan · 13/04/2016 10:17

everdene we are waiting until next cycle to start trying as didn't want a christmas baby (if I have an elcs at 39 weeks it would bang on xmas day/boxing day haha).
Although I did try to persuade DH to ditch the condom last night in a moment of madness. He said no way, not until next month Grin

SunnyDays1987 · 13/04/2016 12:07

everdene fingers crossed it won't be an issue for you then and hopefully you'll have one of these wonder babies who sleeps through from a few weeks old...!

hanflan Aw nice to see you too! Hopefully we can support each other through the horror of being pregnant with a toddler!!! Why do you think you might have an ELCS? I also had a moment of madness earlier in this cycle but DH said no too! It's right though because if I had another early one it would be over Christmas or DS birthday and I really want to avoid that!

hanflan · 13/04/2016 12:14

sunny because I had an emcs last time due to failure to progress/dilate while DD was getting distressed. Apparently vbac is a lot less likely to work if your reason for emcs was failure to progress. Would obviously discuss options but elcs would be most likely unfortunately :(

Kellz92 · 13/04/2016 12:25

sunny Normally DD is good but just getting back to routine after being ill! Shes almost totally better now thank you!
DD was one of those miracles she slept all night from 6 weeks, only having broken sleep when teething etc! i was VERY lucky and i know it wont happen twice lol

everdene I didnt know that either! but worth a try :)

Han Im sure i read ewcm dries up just before ov :)
I also didnt really want an xmas baby as i spent most of last pregnancy in hospital so scared id have same complications. But also didnt want a jan baby as DD is 31st jan lol, but dont want to stop trying a few months, chances are i wont fall pregnant anyway but think its been so long now i wouldnt mind!

Ah right makes sense hanflan, at least if it's elective then it should eradicate a lot of the stress like last time? How come you decided you are ready now? Remember seeing a post from you a few weeks or so ago saying you didn't know if you could face it?!

Lucky you kellz!!!! It must make life so much easier if you're actually getting some sleep at the start? How old is your DD? Yeah I think once we've started I'd find it hard to stop as well. Fingers crossed it happens soon for you!

hanflan · 13/04/2016 13:50

sunny basically much thinking and discussion with DP. The thought of not having another is far more unbearable than the thought of having another and it being as much of a struggle as it has been this time round. Basically as hard as I've found things (even through the "I'm never ever ever having another one" bits) it's all just totally worth it and I'm broody as hell! Really want a little brother or sister for DD and sort of thinking why don't we just go for it and get it all out of the way while it's still hard?! I don't want DD to start sleeping through and I'll get used to it, then it will all be a shock again when the sleepless nights hit again!

hanflan · 13/04/2016 13:52

Basically, very much a "f*ck it let's just go for it" thing. I don't think I'll ever feel 100% ready so why wait? haha

hanflan · 13/04/2016 15:27

hanflan · 13/04/2016 15:34

If anyone wants to change/add/edit feel free. Or if I have missed anyone I am very sorry!

SunnyDays1987 · 13/04/2016 16:10

Yeah I think that's kind of where we are at too hanflan! For a long time I tried to convince myself that I didn't want another but deep down I think I always knew, I was just very scared at the prospect of having to do it all again! But I think I would have always regretted it if we'd not tried. DS is now pretty reliably sleeping through the night so the sleepless nights are going to be a killer. But we are still in the zone of babies and night wakings and all that. I slept terribly all pregnancy last time too so I'm hoping this time is much better or the sleeplessness might be starting all too soon for me!

Good work on the stats. I'll add my etd once this AF has arrived!
