Here it is overlaid on the previous three months. Perhaps it was just a duff temp? Maybe my thermometers on the blink!

May BFP Bus

Can you compare it to other charts on the app for help?

Some people on Fertility Friend seem to think a drop is a good thing! But your chart doesn't show a clear ov date, is that right?

GiraffesCantDoMentalArithmetic · 06/05/2016 23:04

No, it hasn't identified ovulation because there hasn't been any significant temp rise.

And I think a temp dip is only a good thing if it happens after a previous rise (around 6-10 EPO).

I shall report back tomorrow with more data!

How does one go about finding out if ones ovaries have shrivelled, anyway?

Chuckading · 06/05/2016 23:44

Tryingtowait you're right, every day my DS amazes me, he started off smaller than his teddy, 3lb 3 so a good size for his gestation, he's finally all caught up now too Grin

So AF is still late... Think it's now 10days late and I'm still getting negative tests. Even my app has given up and is saying missed period, it's not even got the politeness to suggest I may be pregnant... Just missed period! Envy

everdene · 07/05/2016 08:32

Chuck that sounds promising - have you done an FRER?

Giraffes my mistake, I thought because on the overlaid charts it showed this one as post ovulatory so it might just be missing the red line. My friend got referred to a specialist who tested her egg quality before she tried to conceive - she was with bupa though through work.

Tryingtowait · 07/05/2016 08:41

Hey giraffes how long are your cycles 'normally'? And how long have you been temping and which way?

I found I usually get a drop before I ovulate, could it be that? If it does turn out to be annovulatory cycle I've read every woman gets them time to time. I do use opks so can't comment on that side of things.

Af arrived for me today which means I won't have another chance of bfp until June. I'll still lurk on this bus for a while if it's ok?

Tryingtowait · 07/05/2016 08:42

Oh and I missed a whole page of replies for some reason...

Tryingtowait · 07/05/2016 08:45

Don't* use opks sorry very tired mama watching Winnie the Pooh with her 3 year old!

GiraffesCantDoMentalArithmetic · 07/05/2016 10:55

Hi trying
My cycles vary from 29 to about 36 days. If it was a pre-ov drop I've totally missed out on DTD this month. My OPKs picked up a surge days ago - the strongest positive lines I've ever had on them. They've been negative since then.
Temp did rise this morning, but that just doesn't match what CM and OPKs are saying.

I've been temping 5 cycles this time and several cycles with previous pregnancies (orally). Only ever had one missed ovulation before and that was after a miscarriage.

GiraffesCantDoMentalArithmetic · 07/05/2016 10:56

Sorry AF got you trying.

GinandJazzHands · 07/05/2016 11:18

Hey giraffes try not to worry too much. Mine are long and irregular bit I was tearing my hair out the cycle before last as it was 56 days long. Good news though that my last one was a mere 35 - shortest so far - so I'm hoping that it's sorted itself out. Otherwise you can join the shrivelled eggs club with me Wink my advice to you is keep trying to DTD regardless as if you haven't OV'd yet your body will try again at some point. Good luck!
trying sorry AF got you too. Last day of AF for me today I hope so also testing at some point in June.

Kellz92 · 07/05/2016 12:42

Giraffes sorry I dunno much about temping, I'm trying again this cycle but my temps are crazy, yesterday there was a drop but I did it a bit early so I knew it wouldn't be accurate

Trying I'm so sorry for you hun, mine was last week its awful when she arrives. fx for June though!!

everdene what's FRER? Sorry for thick question!! Confused

Chuckading · 07/05/2016 14:03

everdene what's FRER? Sorry for thick question!! Confused

GinandJazzHands · 07/05/2016 14:18

chuck it's a first response early results - best for POASing early but expensive.

everdene · 07/05/2016 20:54

My thermometer gave up the ghost this morning! I don't know whether to order another or try a pregnancy test - 12dpo here and cd27 but last month's cycle was 26 days so I'm a little Confused - really expecting AF but still have my fingers crossed.

everdene · 07/05/2016 21:07

Oh and Chuck it's not at all a daft question, there are so many acronyms! But yes it's a First Response Early Result (I think!)

GinandJazzHands · 07/05/2016 23:29

ooh everdene fx for you! It's about time we had another BFP on this thread!

SunnyDays1987 · 08/05/2016 05:50

Ooh hope you get your BFP today Everdene if you're testing?! Definitely need to see some more BFPs!

everdene · 08/05/2016 13:47

I tested yesterday and had a BFN on a cheapy - feel so tempted to get some first responses but I know I'll be disappointed if it's negative, and also a tenner more skint!

My DH was like 'HmmI thought you had loads of pregnancy tests?' When I tried to explain that I wanted to buy a First Response! Looking at the Fertility Friend app stats, 65% of people have had their BFP by 12dpo so I am going to wait until tomorrow to test, by which stage I'm be 14dpo. If it's still negative and no AF I'll get an FRER to try mid-week.

I am so trying to chill out with this process but the limbo of the tww is hard, isn't it?!

Lucy1308 · 08/05/2016 14:35

I am literally having a meltdown so know how you feel everdene!! Just had a full on cry because I can't cope with the amount of unknowns and the ridiculous amount of waiting!! Feel like I'm wishing my life away and it's only been about 4 weeks!!

Anyway OH was very sympathetic and managed to stop me hyperventilating over the whole situation- and I'm only 7/8/9dpo!!

Hope you get your BFP this week!!

GiraffesCantDoMentalArithmetic · 08/05/2016 15:12

Well I am totally pissed off with this cycle. I haven't a bloody clue if/when I ovulated, so I can't even obsess over symptom spotting or POAS. Angry

everdene · 08/05/2016 15:13

Ha I totally hear you Lucy!

Things that have made me cry this week:

  • The thought of the lyrics to The Pina Colada Song (Escape)
  • That local councillor who thought he'd lost in his constituency elections by 70 votes but it was a miscount and he'd actually won by 70
  • There's No One Quite Like Grandma, which was on The Desert Island Discs podcast

In short, I'm an emotional wreck! I have done some gardening which has really helped take my mind off the worrying. I really want to enjoy this time otherwise I'll just worry all the way through any future pregnancy.

My MIL is crippled by her anxiety and I don't want to be like that. She was in tears practically the whole way through SIL's pregnancy because of worrying. So I am going to try to just relax and make sure I'm enjoying the day-to-day properly.

everdene · 08/05/2016 15:24

Grr that must be so frustrating Giraffes!

Lucy1308 · 08/05/2016 15:41

I cried because I spilt fruit salad down myself and because my roast potatoes went cold!! Ate more of said fruit salad and had a sleep and now feel much better!! Glad OH is helpful too as othwerwise I think he would leave me for being a total nutter!!

We can cry/symptom spot/ be nutters together!!
