According to fertility friend , 14% of pg women still won't have had a BFP by 16 dpo. And that's assuming you ovulated when you thought you did. If you actually O'd 2 days later - 40% chance of a BFN even tho pg.

I am using these stats to keep me off the tests. 3 days to go and my boobs hurt so much I want to go topless. Except it is too cold and I'd get funny looks at dd's swimming lesson this afternoon.

Hi ladies. Am just updating myself as am now on CD20. Not had the chance to get on here for a while. Went away for the weekend to the Cotswolds with DH, it was lovely and feel all relaxed, now just got fingers crossed AF stays away. My boobs are still really sore and swollen. They've never been big, but now they do feel fuller and heavier, but my nipples don't seem any bigger. Although the bumpy bits around the nipple (sorry not sure what they're called ) seem a bit more pronounced.
Do boobs change drastically in early pregnancy?
I'm dying to know if this is just pmt or something more exciting.
Af not due til Wednesday, and I have no early pg tests in the house. I have a Boots digital one in the drawer, but the instructions say it can only be used from the day af is due.
I'm going to hang on 'til Wednesday to see what happens. The suspense is killing me.

Well done eagle bird. Clear blue fairy will be very proud of you. symptoms sound promising though specaly the bit about your bumpy aerola (they do have a name but i can't remember it).

Or weekend away went very well. So good we are planning another visit on a couple of weeks. Friday night rather boozy but it helped get the weekend off with a bang. And who knows may not be able to do that aain for a long time?

Have definately come back full of beans....and a stinking great cold!

If I'm not pg I'm going to be really pissed off about the way my boobs have been hurting - I can suffer for a baby but def not for a period!

Pee sample went to docs this morning.

No sign of AF today again.

My mum laughs because she says in the early 70s, the docs wouldn't even consider confirming that you were pg until you'd missed 2 periods - so at least 9 weeks preg. 2 months of thinking "well, am I?". I'm having trouble with 2 weeks!

Eaglebird - in my two pgs my boobs didn't get bigger till about 6 weeks in, but I had the bumpy nipple thing early on.

Fruitful - should know by the end of the week.

Nah, BFN this morning. Swiftly followed by some pale pink watery spotting. Soooo - either:

I O'd on the last of 3 possible days (was doing OPKs), implanted on day 10 and this was an implantation bleed, and its too early to show up on a test

or -

I O'd on the first of those days and this is the spotting that I get before AF.

Hmm, now which is more likely? .

Well, the pg test was calling me and I couldn't resist, even though I promised I'd wait until tomorrow...

BFP

Dp & I are both completely shocked but happy.
I had a missed mc last year at 11/12 weeks, but the baby had died at about 6 weeks and I didn't find out until my first scan, so I'm happy but also really scared in case something awful happens this time round.

Every twinge in my tummy (which is probably just wind) I keep imagining the worst. And I'm on knicker watch like a mad woman.

Also, a question, is it normal for boob tenderness to fluctuate? Over the past 10 days of so mine have gone from tingly to tender to sore to normal-ish to really painful, sometimes all in the space of a day!
This morning they were quite unbearable, now they feel fairly normal but with tender nipples.
Normally a couple of days before af arrives they get less progressively tender, and I'm worried that af is going to arrive after all.
I still have bumpy nipples though, so I hope that's a good sign. I also felt a bit queasy at work today, which I also hope is a good sign.

God I'm such a nervous wreck. If someone can reply to calm my nerves I'd be ever so grateful.

Either way, I'd like to just chop my boobs off.

Was Ds's 2nd birthday today, so that has helped to take my mind off things.

I think the fluctuation is normal. I got hardly any symptoms (nothing you couldn't attribute to 6 other causes anyway!) until about 7 weeks. Just long enough to get really worried!

Can you get an early scan, given what happened before? A scan at 7 weeks should be late enough to be sure of picking up the heartbeat.

Actually, I did get symptoms with my first - horrendous AF-style-but-worse cramps for about a fortnight. Freaked me out. When I finally met the midwife she airily said my womb was just "adjusting".

I've decided to do another test in a weeks time if af has still not arrived, and then go to see my GP to get it 'officially' confirmed. I'll ask about the possibility of an early scan, never thought of that so thanks for the suggestion. Maybe they will do one to put me at ease, otherwise I will worry myself into an early grave until I get my 12 week scan.
Glad to hear fluctuating boobs are normal. I was almost convinced mine had deflated back to their usual size while I was in the bath.
Is it normal to be so nervous & convinced that something will go wrong??
