Symptom spotters, tww - ers, slightly hysterical hormone laden ladies! Regs, lurkers, intermittent posters! Our raison d'etre is 'am I pregnant?'

Thread 12. Welcome!

We do not judge, we enjoy TMI, we i encourage waiting to poas nobody listens and all the grossness you can find from a group of intelligent, articulate ladies.

Post your stats and add your dates. We have a register thanks to kats stats I have been dubbed the resident piss stick queen and if you don't test, you get a Starky's Star

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself your pregnant in the tww

Congrats pyxie!!! No mistaking that!!!

Hep154 · 29/02/2016 10:20

jam at the risk of being one of those terrible people who express medical opinions with no training or knowledge of your case, have you heard of the fodmap diet? Some people use it as a system to systematically work out what they are intolerant to. (I'll go back into my cave now)

Pyxie · 29/02/2016 10:23

Thanks ladies! The only symptoms I've had are sore boobs for a few days and something like toxic gas coming from my rear end for the last week or so. That might not be a symptom though, I might just be gross!

Feefeefs · 29/02/2016 10:59

Registered dietitian backing up hep, FODMAPS is very good, but you need support and to be ready to change as it is very restrictive and no point doing it half arsed. Most common culprits for intolerance are, onion, garlic, alcohol, skipping meals, ready meals, dairy, wheat, too much fruit, brassica vegetables.

Peaches8Posies · 29/02/2016 11:06

Congrats pyxie wishing you a happy healthy 8/9 months 😊

Thanks jem iv made myself screw my positive head on this week (worzel gummidge style haha). Trying not to think about af due at weekend.

I also have a couple of frers in my cupboard but I'm not weeing til I'm definitely late! Pinkie promise 😂 I'm holding out for a starky starky

Ni4444 · 29/02/2016 11:08

Fab news Pyxie! Just the good news we needed on this dreary Monday 👍

Jam I have food intolerances (yeast, msg/monosodium glutamate/flavour enhancer). Tricky thing is they're in bread, pizza bases, stock cubes, soups, flavouring on crisps, bacon, sausage and loads of ready meals...so I could never have figured out what was causing it if I didn't have an intolerance test! Worst case scenario for me was crippling stomach pain, massive bloaty tummy and diarrhea. Thankfully after years of managing it I know how much my stomach can tolerate so I have little bits but I don't overload my system and I rarely have problems at all anymore! Fingers crossed yours can be managed too!

Snowdog37 · 29/02/2016 11:08

Congrats pyxie 💐🎉💐🎉💐

I'm far away from London, and will be even further from next weekend!!! Eek!!!!! Half our stuff is in storage already, I've been Marie Kondo-Ing all our crap. Who needs 62 t shirts?!?!? Dh had some from 15 years ago that he hadn't even worn since being with me. And on my side I got rid of 200 or so of my 500 or so books. And various other stuff. Feels cleansing to get rid. We are entering the next stage lighter except for hopefully a baby on board at some point!

I'm 2/3dpo. Nothing to report. Not much cm at all, my boobs did feel tingly this morning, cold shower room perhaps. Way too early yet the madness has begun with a vengeance.

Happy Monday 🍰☕️💐 Hope we all have the best week!

vixarooni · 29/02/2016 11:25

Yay congrats pyxie

I feel no symptoms at all, and ovia says i m good to test in 3 days, AF due on the 5th. I've been explaining to oh what this process feels like for a women! I will make him understand!!

Mooseville · 29/02/2016 12:37

Congrats pyxie Brilliant news!!!

FXSkip · 29/02/2016 12:58

Dear lord ladies y'all can type!! I thought I just had 2 pages to catch up on - nope, new thread and its 8 pages already!! Congrats pyxie - lovely news indeed. And big squashy cuddles to everyone feeling shit for whatever reason (or, if you're like me and hate being touched by strangers, a comforting pat on the shoulder)

Unfortunately Ovia is telling me this is my FW, but we have only managed to DTD once so I am not expecting much this week. I haven't caught an LH surge yet so still don't know if I ovulated or not, but to be honest I'm feeling like I just want to get on with my life. If it never happens I don't want to have wasted a year of my life POSs (pissing on sticks) and being miserable. Having said that no doubt during the TWW I'll be symptom spotting like a mofo!!

StarkyTheDirewolf · 29/02/2016 13:09

Congratulations Pyxie! 🎉🍼👑

vix AF is due on the 5th for me too. I'm trying to hold out until then!

StarkyTheDirewolf · 29/02/2016 13:15

On the plus side of today,I am feeling less gloomy! Dh is off tonight and he's just woken up so I'm going to take him a coffee and plan the day! House is quite clean so very little to do and looking forward to him getting on my nerves tonight! Grin

So travelling home again today. SIL too delight in telling my OH how they got engaged exactly 12 years ago.... No obvious signs of panic from him.... Not sure if its odd, but I am not hugely bothered about the whole marriage thing. We are quite happy as we are.

Am I strange, especially with this whole ttc thing? My friends will tell you yes for whole other reasons!

vixarooni · 29/02/2016 14:02

Period twins rae I'm holding out too, purely because I feel nothing! If I did, it might be a different story!

Mooseville · 29/02/2016 14:21

Not at all hep I too am not bothered at all about a wedding and marriage... If we had tons of money etc then we'd probably do it, but quite happy as we are. Don't need a ring and a piece of paper to know we're committed to each other.

RaeSkywalker · 29/02/2016 15:49

vix I feel so run down and nauseous, but I think unfortunately I just gave a virus Sad

RaeSkywalker · 29/02/2016 15:49

That should be 'have a virus!'

vixarooni · 29/02/2016 16:38

Ah man that's crap! Hope it clears up rae or that its a baby symptom! Me and oh got food poisoning over my fertile days so even though we managed it on my peak day I think it was a bit void!

Moggysinger · 29/02/2016 17:20

So I went out for my run and lunchtime and my god it was cold, whoever said it's always too cold or rainy you were absolutely right. It was a rubbish run, my legs were numb until mile 3!!

Something happened this morning that made me feel properly sad and I'm hoping I did enough. I had just set out on said run and came across a little old lady sitting on the ground. I asked if she was ok and she said she'd fallen over, she had a little graze on her cheek. I helped her up and walked her to her house (on same street as me). That's when I smelt the booze so I asked her why she'd fallen over and she said she'd drunk too much in the pub (it was only 1.30 by this time, the pub wouldn't have opened until midday!!). She said she thought she was depressed because her partner had died 4 years ago Sad
I helped her into her house and told her to sit down and sleep it off. I'm wondering now if I should have talked to her about going to gp or something, or just stayed with her a little longer. I know that alcohol dependence is soo tricky and complex but I'm mad at the pub for serving her until she was in that state! It was so sad, she's so vulnerable, and now I know where she lives I think it will haunt me everyday Sad

So much for a day off poorly people!! I'm not leaving the house again until I have to go back to work!

RaeSkywalker · 29/02/2016 17:52

Oh moggy that's lovely of you!

SuchaJem · 29/02/2016 17:52

It was sweet of you to stop and help her home mog, many people would wall straight past. Perhaps you could give her a knock another day and see how she's doing?

So glad Monday is done. Tempted to test out my first OPK this evening but I'm only cd6 so thinking its a bit soon.

KatOnATinRo0f · 29/02/2016 18:00

hello all!!!
pyxie congratulations!!!
general group congratulations!!! Our % has gone up!! (i will calculate later)
mog thats really nice of you. If she's in your street, if you wanted you could give her a knock in a few days to see how she is, but I wouldn't feel obliged to. You helped her today, and you did a good thing. PLUS you went for a 3+ mile run ON YOUR LUNCHBREAK WHATTTTTTT!!!
stark glad you're feeling better.
I can't remember what everyone else said so that will do!!
Im 10ish DPO. sore boobs and loads of wind (so hopefully I'm pg like pyxie, hurrah! or i just ate too much onion :/)
anyone fancy a list??

Evergreen15 · 29/02/2016 18:10

Oh moggy! What a sad story and how lovely of you. Oh dear I don't know what to advise Sad I hope she has friends and family Sad I would be way to shy to knock on her door but maybe a nice little card with a phone number of a charity or gp is she needs to talk to someone? And post it?
Kat fingers crossed for you. Grin
Since TTC I feel I am always gassy on 2ww. According to Ovia this is consistent with my cycles Envy

Kwick709 · 29/02/2016 18:14

I hope everyone that was feeling down is feeling happier. I often get very down... But "the sun will come out tomorrow, bet your bottom dollar there will be sun"!!! Sorry that was cheesy!
