We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself your pregnant in the tww

Pug that is such a gorgeous cake! Your friend must have loved it. I do like to bake as well but am sadly crap at decorating, no way I could produce that! When is she due? Obstetric cholestasis sounds horrible

Woo hoo Holly great line, congratulations! There's been a run on BFPs this week. Hopefully that means that March is a lucky month.

Ni I used Agnus for two cycles last year. First cycle it worked really well (well not that well, I'm still not upduffed!) but that cycle was a perfect 30 days. The next cycle it totally messed me up, extra long cycle and gave me all the symptoms in tww. I couldn't eat as kept vomiting. It's powerful stuff! It works really well for some people and I am very sensitive to things but just wanted to warn you!

Officially in tww now. I'm actually relieved to deal with a different sort of crazy now. We can do no more, I'll just sit here munching on pineapple core and prodding my boobs.

Absolutely manic week at work here - then worked a 14hr overtime shift yesterday and probably a similar one today. I have been reading the threads but haven't had time to reply!
The baking all looks fab - so much so I'm going to stop somewhere and buy some treats to take into work. We deserve it for working a Sunday surely!

Sucha and Elle thank you for convincing me I'm not going mad! I just don't know how to handle it... Without giving away too much she lived with DH and I rent free for 2 months recently when she split up with her ex. Now she's met this new man and has totally ditched me! It feels like a very one sided friendship- we literally moved her out of her old house, then rented a van to help her move into her new one. Plus all the tears and rows she had with her ex along the way. I don't begrudge it at all but I am sad that we obviously aren't as close as I thought. I have no idea how to pay this tomorrow (we work together so I will have to see her). I don't think it's worth saying anything as I'll just make myself look pathetic won't I

that should be "play this tomorrow"!

Ni I have an 11 days luteal phase and read about how to lengthen and came across ACactus but I decided not to just because when May comes, if I am not preggo I will go see GP as it would be over 6 months trying then and I will then be 35. So I want my charts to be consistent and then GP can advice better? Also a bit nervous about adding days/ messing up my cycle. But after May I might jump on the ACactus as lots of people use it and I prefer natural to progesterone creams
On another note, what are everyone's thoughts on maca powder?

Kwick I am not a medic but I did have to administer injections when I was main first aider in a long jungle expedition. Nurse explained this:
Look at buttocks and draw a horizontal line from the top of crack. Then imagine you have a compass and make a circle of 3cm of diameter. Avoid that area.
I will make a drawing and take a pic. Gimme a minute.
There are big veins (or arteries) in that area and you dont want that

Kwick ask any nurses or docs here but I was told to avoid that area as more likely to hit a vein. Also pinch the buttocks then put needle and quickly cover with clean cotton and press

I'm still in limbo land. Had possibly the smallest amount of spotting yesterday evening, but so small I could barely tell. Less cramps today but still crampy. Took IC which was of course a BFN. Also took an OPK for the hell of it which also was negative. What the hell is going on?

I will say that break ups are hard and she might be lost for a while. And you might have changes coming your way too. Maybe let her lose for a bit, she might be finding her ways again Meanwhile you have a loyal friend here with a big appetite

Sucha I am indeed a midwife, I work in the community. I actually don't find it too emotionally challenging whilst ttc, I'm able to separate the two if you see what I mean. I get more upset by being baby bombed in my personal life.

Elle my friend is due mid April, although it's likely that with this cholestasis that she will be induced around 37-38 weeks, so more likely end of March/beginning of April now. She sees the consultant tomorrow to discuss a plan.

Mooseville I hope you have a slightly less manic day at work today! What do you do?

Rae I don't think you sound pathetic at all, after all you have done for your friend and she treats you like that. I appreciate how difficult it is to say something though. Sorry, not particularly helpful I know!

Ever excellent diagram and pretty much how I was taught to give intramuscular injections into the buttocks to avoid nerves and blood vessels.

Rae some people just take more than they give though as Evergreen said maybe she is still reeling from the breakup. I would just keep your distance a little and hopefully she will redeem herself. You are stuck working with her anyway so can't really avoid her.

What is maca powder Evergreen? I am in a very similar boat both with 35th birthday timing and time of trying!

Btw I was taught to give injections into the upper outer quadrant of the buttock-love the diagram Evergreen!

starky will you promise to keep you amazing descriptions coming over the next 2 weeks - you always make me laugh and this is said to aid with implantation :)

Oh and I did not die so the injection seems to have gone okay!!

I hope we are all celebrating our first Mother's Day next year too, that is a lovely thought Pugmummy
