Are there any medics in the house tonight? I did the intra-muscular injection - which was almost pain free and went in nice 'n' easy but there was a lot of blood after and blood inside the needle... oops did I hit a vein and am I now gonna cark it? I did not look at needle as told when it first went in because I am not a bloody contortionist and did not think to look in a mirror
Anyway lets hope all is okay. I am feeling much less daunted by it all now.

I appreciate you thinking what I am doing is hard - but I am just following instructions. I have to do it this way as I have no man... in a way I think what I am doing is easier than what you guys are doing - less variables and I only need to consider myself... Hi hopeful all you can do is wait 3days and take a first response type pregnancy test. They are sensitive to smaller amounts if the hcg hormone.

hopeful I don't mean to be rude but if you introduce yourself properly and get involved then it's much easier for us to help you with your cycle rather than randomly posting a question and then linking a thread to the same question. You won't get any kind of accurate answer at 7 dpo. You need to wait a week and test again. This thread is a ttc thread, we're not pregnant, so posting asking if anyone's had a bfp with the same symptoms is somewhat pointless. You're more than welcome to join in but post your stats and give a gal a glass of wine before asking for hardcore fanny juice advice! We've only just met!

kwick I think blood on/in needle just means you hit a vein, I'm fairly certain if there was any air in it you'd already be dead! I hope you're not!

Pug, that cake is amazing! Although we are just back from a posh afternoon tea for my MIL's 60th where I stuffed myself so the idea of cake makes me feel sick now...

Well I was supposed to be having drinks with a friend tonight- she's ditched me in favour of her new boyfriend, who she's known for 3 weeks. This is the third time she's done this to me. Am I allowed to be hurt? I'm not sure if I'm overly sensitive because of BFN.

On the plus side I have had time to bake enough to feed a small army tomorrow

Hopeful tww symptoms vary from person to person and can be sign of bfp or period. As Starky said, it's best to confirm with a test in about a week.
Do you have a pic of the test? If you post it, it may be helpful as we can tell you if we see a line or not.

hopeful welcome! We are ace, don't be embarrassed, I'm a bossy bitch! it's a long running thread so we've all got to know one another quite well, and TMI is no problem at all. But It is so much easier if you post a bit of your back story. For instance,

I'm Starky, cd 18, cycle 3. I have long cycles (up to 43 days) and I know my pms symptoms include boobs forged in the fires of mordor and the weeps (where I find the smallest thing means a melt down, example from this morning, I saw a small fluffy bird, it was cute, so I cried, like a weirdo!)

No period for me either, a quarter of me is deadly hopeful but I know she's just round the corner, so you have company ipatches!

vix - Welcome to Limbo Land. Still waiting. Tried my fail-safe - a workout, which is of course the last possible thing you want to do when you think AF is on the doorstep. Possibly some spotting afterward but possibly not and staring at sweaty underwear isn't my idea of fun. Still cramping.

kwick I have crap ability to take needles but when I was in/out hospital last yr it was common for me to have similar things happen and the nurses always said it was okay so I wouldn't stress. Has the bleeding stopped? If in doubt give the NHS line a quick call even if it's just for peace of mind ☺

Omg, thank you all so much. Baking is kinda my hobby when I get a chance and ive always wanted to have a go at something like this. Would love to do a bakery/cake decorating course to develop my skills.

Anyway, the shower went really well and my friend loved it. She got so many amazing gifts. She deserves it so much after what she has been through to actually keep this baby in and now she's got obstetric cholestasis too, poor thing (the midwife in me couldn't help notice she was scratching her hands a lot tonight and I enquired and she said she had literally just been diagnosed friday).

pug you're a midwife? Ahhhh how lovely. Although must be tough emotionally when you're ttc.

So... I'm 11 dpo (12dpo Sunday) and I've really tried not to symptom spot at all this cycle, I've actually felt great (although I wasn't sure if that was to do with lowering my caffeine intake considerably). One thing that has been niggling though, was how much my nipples have been hurting me! My boobs a little bit, but my nipples have felt like they're going to fall off.

Anyway, I've also had quite a short fuse lately and although I said I wouldn't test until I missed a period, I thought an opk wouldn't hurt. I had a lone cheapie opk strip left in my bathroom cabinet. I wasn't really sure if it was positive - because these sticks are rubbish - but test line was as dark as it was when I had an lh surge.

Asked hubby to pick up a FRER... Was so nervous, it felt different this time. And there after 3 minutes was a line :) a faint line - but a line. Still in shock that I got a BFP. I will use the other test tomorrow morning with FMU. Just wanted to share with you all xxx
