Fred rules (copied and adapted from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.
  5. Thou shalt not be offended by the word vagina.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others. Also known as 'the witch', 'bitch witch' and 'that one with the red shiny convertible'

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a Kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit), or PIATLH (Tea light holder), PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in! PONF = Pee on Nigel Farage (Self explanatory)

ROC = Receptacle of Choice - what one chooses to use for the task of POAS. Optional decorations include photographs of controversial political leaders.

JIAC = Jizz in a Cup. Preferable to jizz on the carpet or jizz in the eye. This one's for the lucky men in our lives.

Jizz in a bra = how we transport the jizz to the Sperm Queen

Shagging like 'something' = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into TTC obsession. Warning - this may happen to you if you start trying to POAS at 5dpo. PUT. THE. PISSY. STICK. DOWN. IT'S TOO EARLY!

Contraband (or Cuntraband) = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

SOTM = Shagger of the Month. Awarded with varying regularity to those viroids who go above and beyond EOD shagging in pursuit of that BFP

TWOT - Two Weeks of Torture. AKA Schroedingering!
TWPU - Two Week Piss Up!

Keeping your gingers = fingers crossed, yet another autocorrect development! Shortened to 'gx'

Doing a Lemon = Testing WAAAAAAAY to early!

Miroid - The male compadre of a viroid

Cat - Compulsory

Skittletits - Killer molten painful tits and nipples

Ghost jizz/goat jazz - When the amazing foof sucks up all the jizz - achieved when coming at the same time/nearly the same time.

Where are you going Chat? I'm in La Plagne at the moment, but not skiing even very gently - have ridden around lots of gondolas though and had a really relaxing week.

Hope the back op goes well just, and very jealous of your jet-setting!

Canters15 · 18/03/2016 09:44

Frers located in super drug this morning!! All is well.

Would anyone like a big bag of opks and. maybe a spare frer if I don't wee in it in the meantime I am happy to post for free.

ChatEnOeuf · 18/03/2016 09:54

We're off to Obertauern, Sock - snow looks beautiful though there's not much fresh stuff forecast for the next few days. I love to just chill and enjoy the scenery. Our hotel has a pool and relaxation area, so I can see myself enjoying that a lot - I tend to only ski half-days. How is La Plagne? We looked at going there but the accommodation was sold out by the time the rest of our party got their arses in gear. I love Austria, though, so I definitely won't complain.

LondonGirl83 · 18/03/2016 09:57

Stumbly sorry the witch is messing with you!

Just I'd prioritize your back op for sure. What do you mean though that DH doesn't jizz? Can a guy orgasm without jizzing (I'm ignorant to the ways of the world obviously).

Kwick when are you testing? I'm keeping everything crossed for you!

Do we have anyone else pissing on sticks over the weekend?

stumblymonkey · 18/03/2016 10:03

Oooh Canters....yes please! That would be amazing since we're going to keep TTC despite the redundancy as I don't feel like I can afford to keep delaying things when I'm already mid-30s.

But maybe wait a couple more days for AF to finally show her horrible mean face before you post them as I still have a tiny little seed of hope that somehow in the face of many BFNs I am upduffed and just don't have enough hcg yet?

I will PM you my address....

Canters15 · 18/03/2016 10:47

Done deal stumbly! PM me and i'll send them to you early next week if you're not upduffed Flowers

justtheonethen · 18/03/2016 11:34

Ha ha, think I'll go with spy, a very glam one Wink
I'm a teacher but I'm doing a funded research trip for 10 weeks, I'm so excited and totally outed now probably!

I don't mean he orgasms without jizz, he just takes a lot of help to jizz so when we weren't ttc I used to just get mine and leave him high and dry if he took too long then let him jizz on my tits Wink

justtheonethen · 18/03/2016 11:35

And if stumbly is upduffed I'll have the contraband please!

5hell · 18/03/2016 12:16

i dont want to raise false hope, but equally don't loose hope stumbly; some women dont produce as much hcg as others, in fact i believe the variation early on is HUGE, so as sensitive and accurate as FRERs are, you could still be below the limit of detection

last day at work today Grin so you can probably expect more nosing and waffling from me whist I wait around...38+3 now and although feeling fairly good am definitely ready for a rest!

LondonGirl83 · 18/03/2016 12:17

Haha Just! Ever thought he may have been playing you so he could jizz on your tits Wink?

5hell · 18/03/2016 12:32

Not a proper paper, but does show the possible hcg range: www.huggies.com.au/pregnancy/early-stages/symptoms/hcg-levels

This paper, although a bit old, suggests wide variation in pregnancy test sensitivity: www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/16295647

stumblymonkey · 18/03/2016 12:48

Thanks 5hell!

Wow....there is a massive range in week 5.... 18-7000!

Funnily enough because I'm a crazy woman I've googled today and came across a lot of old threads anecdotal evidence of women who didn't get a BFP for anywhere between 7days and 6 weeks after AF was due!

One of them said it can be because it's a male foetus as her doctor told her they create less hcg, again this was probably speculative rubbish purely anecdotal.

stumblymonkey · 18/03/2016 12:49

Here is a good example of a thread of anecdotal evidence if anyone else is interested in stirring the crazy pot

http://www.babycenter.com/400i-am-5-days-late-hpt-tests-are-negative-can-i-still-be-pregnn1260257966.bc

stumblymonkey · 18/03/2016 13:11

Oh viroids!

I just went to the loo....and predictably there was blood when I wiped. So AF has arrived....I hate her today!

Still think something happened as I never get chin spots/cramping/tender breasts/spotting mid-cycle/'the feeling' but maybe we had a little blasto that couldn't cling on long enough to produce enough hcg. I guess I'll never be any the wiser!

ChatEnOeuf · 18/03/2016 13:22

I'll add to the crazy useless anecdotal files - DD I didn't even test until 6w (crazy post pill cycles). First MC I never tested as I had a visit from AF at 4w. Twins I tested because I was feeling sick at 12dpo (ish), BFP, but it was twins. DS, BFN until CD35 - usually have 30-day cycles. This time tested at CD32 and got a squinter.

ChatEnOeuf · 18/03/2016 13:24

Oh, Stumbly cross posted there - I'm sorry Flowers

angelazul · 18/03/2016 14:02

Stumbly sorry the witch got you Flowers

LondonGirl83 · 18/03/2016 14:06

stumbly sorry witch got you. It very well may have been a chemical. In your gut you know something was different.

Have all the Chocolate Cake Wine

NameChange30 · 18/03/2016 14:20

stumbly Sorry Flowers Chocolate Cake
Maybe it was a bean that wasn't quite sticky enough... If it was, it's a good sign apparently, means you are slightly more likely to get pregnant for real in future.
Treat yourself to lots of some wine and/or cocktails this weekend!

Canters15 · 18/03/2016 14:42

Oh I'm so sorry stumbly. I was keeping everything crossed for you.

I would stand by what the others have said about chemical preg and fertility after, hopefully this was your body doing a trial run for next month or month after. FlowersWine

FuzzyOwl · 18/03/2016 15:16

Sorry Stumbly

Angela I always have a 10 or 11 day LP and have been pregnant three times with it.

justtheonethen · 18/03/2016 16:58

Sorry stumbly ThanksWine what a bitch.

Interesting theory london Grin

So I'm feeling all girl power at the moment. Had some leery men wolf whistling and shouting at me when they pulled up next to me at traffic lights. Really pissed me off so I phoned their company (were in work van) and complained to their manager who was very embarrassed and promised to talk to them when they got back. Where do men get off on being intimidating to women. Wankers.

NameChange30 · 18/03/2016 17:07

just sorry that happened but well done for reporting them, you legend!

Sausagema · 18/03/2016 17:30

Sorry stumbly.

Well my chipolata continues to cling on, wherever it is. Have been getting lots of right sided pain so was in early pregnancy today. Had hcg bloods done, if they aren't as high as expected I'm to go back Sunday for repeat to check they are doubling. Am.going Monday for a scan, which is still early at 5+6. This pain just won't bloody shift just now. Hope it's nothing but SOMETHING is going on in there.

angelazul · 18/03/2016 17:52

Sausage everything crossed for good news.

Just go you, girl power indeed Star
