Symptom spotters, tww - ers, slightly hysterical hormone laden ladies! Regs, lurkers, intermittent posters! Our raison d'etre is 'am I pregnant?' Depending on how much Ovia (Whybird) has pissed us off/messed with our fw she is either the oracle or a sanctimonious charlatan.

Just a warning, we move FAST! Our threads last on average, about a week before they're full.

We do not judge, we enjoy TMI, we i encourage waiting to poas nobody listens and all the grossness you can find from a group of intelligent, articulate ladies. Fart stories make us laugh, stories about cervical mucus, pooing, cysts and nausea equally welcome. Although normal conversation is also encouraged.

We like acronyms, we make some up: PET = Proper expensive test. We love the d(h)...which can of course mean 'dearest' or 'dickhead' why, what were you thinking?

Ha Stark, cloth nappies will take all your pennies if you will allow a word from the wise someone who's used them... When I packed up all the baby junk after DS2 I got rid of basically all the pretty ones e.g. pockets/all-one-ones. They look great, but they are often not as reliable. Ready for this one I have fitted, sized nappies with wraps (I do have fun wraps), up to size 2. And then I need to check what I have for size 2, as I don't have enough, but what I do have, and what I'll get, are mainly fitteds. I was changing clothes too often with pockets. I do have a couple of Close Pop-ins, they're good, I might get more of those. And for much bigger (like, approaching potty training) I have some flips as they're slim.

I foolishly got suckered with DS2 and sold my size 2 fitteds for pretty pockets. Really regretted it!

Get some frugi baby vests though. They fit over cloth brilliantly. I'm going to buy loads more on sale

I caved today and did a test, of course it's bfn. I'm glad I did it now. I'm not hoping anymore so won't have the crushing disappointment that we all know and love sniff

Still no sign of af though, and I haven't had any spots which is odd for me, I normally get at least one.

Ladies... you remember the HCG multiplier info I posted right?

Which explains why some people get a BFP sooner than others in their cycle etc?

Yeah choc I remember, but I guess my silly brain thinks that if I was going to be bfp... Then there would at least be SOMETHING to see two days before af? No? The Test was 20 miu.

confused nope because you could have only just implanted (or be about to implant today) and it will take 2 to 3 days for your HCG to double enough.

Non pregnant woman have a HCG range of between 0-5. So let's say your HCG is normally 3...

Then you implant on the 9th day after O, the most common day.

Hcg doubles every 48-72 hrs. Therefore your hcg levels would look like this

9dpo: 3miu
11dpo: 6miu
13dpo: 12 miu
15dpo: 24miu

And depending on the test you take will depend on what shows.

Not to mention 1) your hcg may normally be lower than 3miu and 2) you can implant up to 12 Days after ovulation

So you're not out until you're out!

Day 3 of mild but constant cramping. Not enough to need painkillers but getting a bit annoying now especially as AF isn't due, at the earliest, for at least a week!

Yesterday evening I started to feel a dull pain in my lower left abdomen. It lasted well into the night but now is almost entirely gone again. It felt like a lot of pressure and though I say 'dull pain' I mean dull as in not sharp - but still painful. Yesterday was day 10/11dpo. I've had that type of pain before but never for such a long period of time. Any ideas what it could have been?

Ha, no need to apologise Impy. It was more just a realisation of how totally and utterly unprepared I am for any baby that might or might not turn up in 9 months but I guess I have a lot of time to learn all about pockets and the like!

stark we dont even have a spare room for a baby/nursery :'( we have a 2bed flat and the second bed is a pretty big(weirdly shaped) room which has wardrobes/chest of drawers/big rack of shoes/big craft chest full of wool/sewing machine/spare double bed (which we were thinking to get rid of but actually it is a handy underneath storage for things like the xmas tree)/bookcases of old uni work and also DH's office - with desk/computer/filing cabinets. The plan is to somehow squeeze the baby in there. UMMMMM (I'm thinking i will just throw away all of my possessions).

i love pinterest. a lot. although ive had to stop following all the wedding ones now. i havent started looking at baby things. so its mostly just crochet things.

So I'm feeling pretty rubbish about this month. We just did not DTD enough. only about 3 x in the whole of the time post-AF and during FW. according to OPK we may have got one in at the right time, and i know it takes only 1, but still... I'm just feeling its not enough. I'm not sure why DH has not been bothered, i wonder if he's getting a bit pissed off with the whole thing. half of me wants to relax next month, not do OPK, not mention it to him, just try to d2d around the right time the whole month but half of me thinks FFS this will be month 7... have to pull out all the stops, and try and chart/calculate more things.

impy i have absolutely no idea at all what you are talking about re: babies and nappies. Its like a different language to me. Does someone tell you about all this when you are pregnant??

Kat and Kathrino no one tells you, but once you get a bfp you will suddenly discover there is a powerful mystical force in the universe which compels you to spend vast amounts of free time and time when you should be working reading reviews, blogs, info pages, watching you tube videos on "what's in my changing/hospital bag"... And then suddenly you know everything. until the baby comes and you realise a practical course would have been more useful

Guys, ff says AF is due today )or yesterday). I normally come on first thing. I have spotting and cramps, but no AF. I missed fmu, but... Should I do one?
