Thread 7! Welcome one and all! Group of weirdos, wee hoarders, covert opk or okp, depending on what your autocorrect decides addicts with a side business in cm management!

We do not judge, we enjoy TMI, we i encourage waiting to poas nobody listens and all the grossness you can find from a group of intelligent, articulate ladies fart stories make us laugh

Post your stats and add your dates. We have a register thanks to kat, a resident piss stick queen runner, loaaaaaads of bfp'ers who keep us positive! We don't have rules, we love a good symptom spot, we try to stay grounded and not be hysterical sometimes we manage it aswell

also have calculated that our new % "hit rate" is 20.83%. wahoo!!!!

but i have seen two new names that aren't on the register.... with the two newbies (Elle and Miw I dont have I dont think?) we are still at a solid 20%... go team!!!

Mileymoocow · 23/01/2016 13:02

Fucking hell starky that is handy.

jam I fully support you and will help drive your ambition but don't expect me to follow suit

feef I'm funny about the whole tempting fate stuff, too. OH is not, however. I found him browsing mother care online AGAIN last night.

choc I wonder if it could be a genetic thing? How bizarre! You must be frustrated as hell

StarkyTheDirewolf · 23/01/2016 13:06

I've honestly got no idea kat he's always done it with af, apparently I smell sweeter, I was like "what!? My minge?!" And he said not specifically, I just generally smell sweeter. He's said it before "you smell different today" in the past when, I assume I've been ovulating, and then last month he told me I smelled different than usual and I got a positive opk. I don't tell him if I get a positive so he'd have no idea. Quite interesting to see if he gets it this cycle!

Confusedcat1 · 23/01/2016 13:10

20% is good! Are we all on cycle 2??

Chocaholic88 · 23/01/2016 13:21

I have no idea... I didn't find it interesting though. We are both 27 so I'm guessing medical progression means blood tests are better now? No idea but she said she had a positive at the beginning, 2 weeks later Dr's urine and bloods said no, she had a scan anyway 4 weeks later and there was OH bobbing along at 10 weeks

leoniethelioness · 23/01/2016 14:08

Congratulations, Lauren!!!

Moggysinger · 23/01/2016 14:50

Hello all, can I join the fab bus? :)

I've been a lurker for a bit while I got my head around all the acronyms. I thought dh meant domestic husband for a while and felt annoyed that so many of you have these whilst mine is definitely not domesticated! Haha. Now finally got round to joining mn and can stop being a lurker! This thread is absolutely hilarious so hoping you'll be kind enough to let me hop on and get some laughs in amongst the headfuck that is ttc!

My stats:

Age: 29, big 30 this spring
Ttc: #1
Cycle: 2, came off combined pill beg of Dec
CD: 22 according to ovia, testing 4 Feb

I only downloaded ovia app this last month so I would know when my fw is (not tempting) but I think I might delete it next month. Felt the pressure bigtime to dtd on what ovia said was ov day, had mini meltdown when dh also got stressed and wasn't able to 'produce the goods', think next month we just need to chill out and get into dtd EOD.

FXSkip · 23/01/2016 14:55

Congratulations Lauren!! Exciting times ahead for you both!

choc I am constantly amazed by how calm you appear to be.

Just watched Room and am in pieces 😭

Confusedcat1 · 23/01/2016 14:57

Lol moggy I wish it did mean domesticated husband! Haha. They're lucky actually, they get called dh even when they're not being darlings, maybe we should make a second abbreviation for when they're misbehaving.... AHH? 😂😂😂

FXSkip · 23/01/2016 14:57

Welcome molly you're in good company. I often think about deleting Ovia but then I know my memory is awful so I think I'll just keep it and not listen too much to it!

miwelaisjacydo · 23/01/2016 14:59

Hello am not on the stats no.

An currently on TWW do you think am OK to drink tonight just going out for FIL birthday and usually would have a larger. Am I ok to have a wee drink?

StarkyTheDirewolf · 23/01/2016 15:07

Depending on my mood it's either 'darling husband' or 'dickhead husband' Grin

Welcome newbies! miw enjoy a bevvie! If you're in the tww then potential bean hasn't implanted yet, so no placenta, so no harm done!

miggy I use ovia for when I fancy a hollow laugh! "Ooh, you're hormonal, that could be a tiny human!" It could also be my uterus having a hissy fit you know it all sanctimonious computer app! I'm considering changing it's name to Whybird! I tap some shit in and it spews out a load of old bollocks meant to be helpful! Grin

ElleSarcasmo · 23/01/2016 15:12

River is a lovely name for a girl Miley!

I thought you were Greek too Lisa!

Giggling at Starky's DH's amazing sense of smell! Sadly mine has not shown any such talent...

Welcome Moggy!

We have been looking at houses today...had a bit of a wobble about wanting the baby to go in it Sad

Kathrino · 23/01/2016 15:14

Welcome Miggy! I had a v similar Ovia-induced meltdown last weekend so I know exactly how you feel. I must step away from my iPhone next month...

ImpYCelyn · 23/01/2016 15:15

I finally got round to the Irish name thread and have been chuckling to myself for the last 10 minutes Grin There are some outstanding threads there! I actually posted there when choosing for my two, now I can't believe I was every that brave! I won't be doing that again!

Hi Moggy Smile good to meet you. What your poas protocol? (Let's get the important things out the way Grin)

Kathrino · 23/01/2016 15:16

Welcome Moggy even...WTF is up with my phone?!

ElleSarcasmo · 23/01/2016 15:17

Choco that is funny about your MIL. Your symptoms sound so preggo, will be amazed if you're not!

Chocaholic88 · 23/01/2016 15:20

skip I'm pulling hair out. I'm going insane. You just can't heard my mad woman screech when I type in here 😂😂

elle isn't it odd! We showed her the test photos too and I put in two negatives just to see if she could genuinely see a line in them and she picked out the 4 with lines straight away... so we weren't imagining them!

FXSkip · 23/01/2016 15:51

Oh choc I can't imagine.

Ha ha impy good thing we a don't greet people like this in real life!! 😂 'Hello. Nice to meet you. Pissed on a stick lately?'

Laurenrl · 23/01/2016 16:10

Where is this grads thread runner? I've had a look and probably scrolled right past it like a numpty

KatOnATinRo0f · 23/01/2016 16:26

moggy welcome. are you happy for me to add you to the register? (Im not sure how long you have been following our little (HUGE) thread, but I am ultimate list keeper as we kept getting super confused with who was testing and when. I repost it every day or so and try to keep it updated. If you would prefer a little more privacy than 49 of us screaming HAS YOUR PERIOD ARRIVED YET IT IS DUE TODAY WHERE ARE YOU?? then you are more than welcome :)

anyone else's app not connecting, or just me?

skip really want to see room, but def not DH sort of thing so will have to wait till dvd :(

lauren runner may have missed this thread i havent seen her on the new one? i can't remember what the grad thread is called as i have ignored all of those posts due to lack of fertilised seed

ZazzlesTheCat2 · 23/01/2016 16:28

confused I think a lot of us are on cycle 2-3. I'm about to be thrown onto the Feb bus / cycle 3. You on 2 too?

So have any of you ladies changed your diet to boost fertility? I've been reading fruit, nuts & fish are good..

StarkyTheDirewolf · 23/01/2016 16:33

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/antenatal_clubs/2530330-tcc-1-grads-thread -grads thread for the bfp'ers.

I've not changed my diet, to be honest, we eat fairly well anyway, in terms of veg anyway cause I slam it all in my soups and zizz it up, I've got to start eating more fruit though and I have to stop relying on vitamin drinks for everything! If nothing else, they make your wee neon! Dh has a phenomenal diet, I'm still mentally about 7 and refuse to eat broccoli and cauliflower and stuff. I've only just managed to eat sweet potato recently, and I'd rather lick my own arsehole than eat a mushroom!

OP posts:
Kathrino · 23/01/2016 16:35

Ive thought about the diet thing quite a lot zazzles but, at the moment, I've decided to just focus on eating as healthy as possible. As I do most of the meal planning/cooking, I can also make sure that DH is eating well too. That said, my diet today has mainly consisted of toast and leftover Christmas chocolate. Sadly, I'm not convinced that there's much evidence that chocolate orange boosts fertility although if I get my BFP this month, I'm totally claiming that it does.
