Thread 7! Welcome one and all! Group of weirdos, wee hoarders, covert opk or okp, depending on what your autocorrect decides addicts with a side business in cm management!

We do not judge, we enjoy TMI, we i encourage waiting to poas nobody listens and all the grossness you can find from a group of intelligent, articulate ladies fart stories make us laugh

Post your stats and add your dates. We have a register thanks to kat, a resident piss stick queen runner, loaaaaaads of bfp'ers who keep us positive! We don't have rules, we love a good symptom spot, we try to stay grounded and not be hysterical sometimes we manage it aswell

confused no .... we are all on different cycles, which i know makes the stat completely meaningless. its more of a % of us who have become pregnant "at any time" since we started the thread. which is still nice to see :D

Im currently CD12 on cycle 6... really thought last month was "the month". now it wasn't I'm feeling like.. it may happen at some time but who knows... might be a year.

re diet- i eat fruit nuts and fish anyway, i havent done any research into what i should/shouldnt be eating though... whats the verdict??

SuchaJem · 23/01/2016 16:48

Hello can I join too please?
I'm 32 and tried for the first time this month. AF is due on Thursday. I feel like a ticking bomb or something Confused Symptom spotting like a woman possessed!

Holly300 · 23/01/2016 16:55

miwelaisjacydo · 23/01/2016 16:56

starky thanks I will enjoy the eve and what I want to eat.

miwelaisjacydo · 23/01/2016 16:57

Oh hello moggy

Holly300 · 23/01/2016 16:57

Sucha, what symptoms have you had? And do you think you'll wait until Thursday to test?

miwelaisjacydo · 23/01/2016 17:03

I should add to my previous post that they do to me.

Moggysinger · 23/01/2016 17:06

Ahhh thanks guys for the welcoming comments. Kat yes please I would love to be on the mighty list! Privacy pretty much goes out of the window on here doesn't it! Grin
Impy my poas protocol has previously been to test a couple of days after I thought AF was late ... If I can sit on my hands til then will do the same thing this time so Kat could you put me down to test on 6 Feb? if af not reared her ugly head by then ... Also gonna get me some of those internet cheapies everyone uses Smile

Holly300 · 23/01/2016 17:08

Checking in for today... Haven't been contributing to the thread much in the last couple of days as I was feeling really crap. Feeling a lot better than I was a few days ago though and cold nearly coming to an end - just been left with annoying cough and feeling sorry for myself.

So now I'm 5dpo and driving myself mad with the symptom spotting. There have been a few but it's still a bit early, so I'm convinced that my body/mind is playing tricks with me. One of the things I've really noticed is how gassy I am and am burping all the time - not on purpose! I'm not really a burper so it is a little unusual for me. I googled it and found that it is very common in early pregnancy and is from the rise in progesterone affecting the digestive system. Progesterone is produced as early as when the egg is fertilised - so could be... I'm probably just clutching at straws though! Anyone else had this?

Moggysinger · 23/01/2016 17:09

Hello mi and sucha fellow newbies!

Snowdog37 · 23/01/2016 17:40

Hello newbies and fellow bus mates 😊

I enjoyed my Pity Party for One. Now I'm cd2 and back in the saddle! The thing I am learning (the hard way) is anything can be a symptom but most likely nothing nothing is actually a symptom until you've got a confirmed bfp. I had what looked like "implantation" cramps and pink spotting 8dpo. It wasn't. Af still came. So to save my last fraying thread of sanity I'm now going to assume the computer says no until a pissy stick says yes. No matter what my body does.
This af business is crap though. I have to shower before I go to the gym AND afterwards as I feel so gross.
As for baby names I LOVE so many. I will need quads if I want to use all my favorites.

Holly300 · 23/01/2016 17:46

You're totally right snow! I think I have to try not to pin all my hopes on a few symptoms and take it all with a pinch of salt. 2ww feels like a lifetime!!

Moggysinger · 23/01/2016 17:57

In December (my ttc first month) I had random dizziness, sickness & vomitting every morning for 1 week, sore nipples for 2 weeks ... And a bfn at the end of it. Have come to the conclusion that coming off the pill completely messed with my hormones, even though I was convinced it hadn't, and that I would get upduffed straight away. It's so, so hard not to symptom spot.

IrregularCommentary · 23/01/2016 18:08

Don't have any idea why really, but did a ridiculously early poas this morning. Af not due til next weekend and with Ovia buggering around I have no idea if I'm 6dpo or 3dpo. Either way a pointless test which was only ever going to be a bfn.

Need to have a word with myself and wait until next weekend, which was always the original plan! I miss my younger years when you obviously got pregnant just from thinking about willies too much!

Huge congrats Lauren and I hope you get some reliable (positive) news on Thurs choc

Evergreen15 · 23/01/2016 18:11

Elle my best friend just had a baby and her name is Marta Smile

Imp I pronounce my name differently in English, otherwise people look at me puzzled Grin

DP is an Arsenal fan, so I will get a little Gunners onesie in a box with the test. Grin

Kat I panic with the financial side of things but if you want everything perfectly plan it won't happen. We dont own a house and I dont have huge savings, but we are grounded and we dont need lots of stuff. We would be super loving and we work hard and save what we can. Smile

Still catching up, I am on 1 pm so far

Mileymoocow · 23/01/2016 18:18

evergreen what a great idea for a surprise! I like it. Xx

Holly300 · 23/01/2016 18:23

Irregular that just made me laugh out loud!

"I miss my younger years when you obviously got pregnant just from thinking about willies too much!"

SuchaJem · 23/01/2016 18:25

Hello mi, lol at DH and your boobs Smile I had a very similar convo with my husband the other day when I said my boobs felt bigger and my bra was leaving marks. He said Your bra usually leaves marks. I was like Thanks Hmm

Hi holly I've been burping more too! Which is unlike me. And more windy downstairs too Smile
Other symptoms I've had are;

Sore heavy full boobs for ages
Change in CM - more clear, some white
Feeling the cold much more than usual
Fatigue - had to go for a lie down this afternoon!
Heightened sense of smell
Really vivid dreams
Very emotional - swinging from elation to sobbing

So I'm really feeling a lot of things, most of which could be old AF coming. I'm swinging between Definitely pregnant and planning how to tell my parents, and berating myself for even thinking for a second it could happen so quickly.

Such a bloody roller coaster!

SuchaJem · 23/01/2016 18:29

snowdog I think that makes a lot of sense re waiting for the stick to confirm all. It's only my first ttc and I can see already how the symptom spotting could drive you insane

Holly300 · 23/01/2016 18:36

Such - they are good symptoms - fx for you. Yes they could just be AF symptoms - but they are also possible pg symptoms too so you never know. The burping thing is weird though isn't it?

It is so easy to get our hopes up isn't it? Such a mindfuck! You get all these symptoms, obsess over them for 2 months 2 weeks, fantasise about doing the test, getting a bfp, telling dh, telling family etc. Then AF shows up. What a bitch!

FXSkip · 23/01/2016 19:27

So much to catch up on! starky leave your arsehole alone, just eat the damn mushrooms!

I eat pretty well, mostly vegetables and fruit and we have a strict rule that we only eat happy meat (free range minimum) so we don't eat meat that often. This morning I woke up exhausted and my whole body was sore. At first I thought great! I must be upduffed! Then I realised it was 5 am and I'd spent 3 hours working out yesterday. Probs not pregnant.
On that note, is anyone else concerned about the effect of working out? They say that moderate exercise is good but what does that mean?!

Mileymoocow · 23/01/2016 19:35

Sorry fx I'm with stark on this one. I would definitely rather rim myself than eat a mushroom, too. I love everything else foodie though except celery but who likes celery, really

Holly300 · 23/01/2016 19:38

FX, moderate exercise is actually encouraged if that is already a part of your regular exercise routine. If you're not used to exercising then it isn't recommended to start taking it up whilst pregnant.

harrietm87 · 23/01/2016 19:40

Hi fxskip I'm wondering the same. I know they say you can carry on doing the same exercise that you were doing before, but since Xmas I've upped the intensity of my workouts as I want to be in as good shape pre-preg as poss. I used to run a few times a week but now I'm doing 3 x 1 hour intensive weights/cardio classes and parkrun (timed 5k) on a Saturday. I feel great but hope it won't be a problem for ttc! I'm not dieting at all so haven't lost much weight yet but noticing I'm getting more toned. I'd've thought weight loss/being underweight more likely to be an issue?

Evergreen15 · 23/01/2016 19:45

"I'd rather lick my own arsehole than eat a mushroom!" Starky you are the best

Zazzles I have. I am not having coffee or processed sugar. But the rest is the same as we both eat pretty healthily anyway. And wine only with AF. Might not make a difference at all, but I also put on weight and I want to lose a bit before upduffed

Thanks miley GrinDP was so so reluctant to babies for so long, and then caved eventually, so I figured the tiny non threatening onesie will work Grin

Last cycle I was gassy, with vivid dreams, you name it. Then AF came and took it all away

I stopped running when winter came but I wanted to start again, mmmhhh maybe if I start slowly and progress very gradually?
