Thread 6! Wowzers! Welcome one and all! Group of weirdos, wee hoarders, covert opk or okp, depending on what your autocorrect decides addicts with a side business in cm management!

Post your stats and add your dates. We have a register thanks to kat, a resident piss stick queen runner, loaaaaaads of bfp'ers who keep us positive! We don't have rules, we love a good symptom spot, we try to stay grounded and not be hysterical sometimes we manage it aswell

But on the whole, we're a good bunch, especially bunch who is literally, a bunch. bunch

How long can I keep fmu for? My postie is meant to be bringing hpts this morning. I have either forgotten, or I never knew - either way, can I piss in a ramekin and store it for a few hours? Or is Tupperware better for a storage situation? Grin

ImpYCelyn · 21/01/2016 06:56

Oh to add the symptoms ahem list - I slept absolutely fecking terribly despite being exhausted by 6 last night. Awake for most the night. When I did sleep, I had freaky waking nightmares which led to panic attacks.

Coincidence??? I think not! deluded

Jamjar12 · 21/01/2016 07:21

12dpo and a BFN. AF due to start on Saturday- feeling pretty unpregnant tbh! Maybe these poor boobs of mine just don't like the cold weather. 2 days before I know for sure but want it to hurry up so I can start cycle 3!

Feefeefs · 21/01/2016 07:21

I think you're the only one kwick but I don't really like baileys. Not a fan of a milky/creamy drink!

I think my FW is probably over now. Going to DTD tonight but then I'm in for the 2WW! Got married in October and yesterday three different friends asked me when there were going to be babies. It's quite awkward isn't it? Just made a joke about it all. One friend (the only one who has a baby-but got pregnant by accident on the pill!!!) knows we're not trying not to try but that's about it.

LaraG13 · 21/01/2016 07:26

Jam, snap! Also a BFN today and AF due Saturday but I think it's coming early. Not sure now whether I'm 12 or 13 dpo after the confusing OPK talk!

Mileymoocow · 21/01/2016 07:29

impy I think a few hours should be fine. FX he's an early postie fetching you a bfp!

Sorry about the bfn jamjar, but as the old saying goes - you're not out until you're out. And if you're out, drink some wine.

feef I know all too well. My friends are all either married, have babes or both. OH is taking me away in March as a birthday present and everyone is adamant he's going to propose. Really he did it so we could get away together somewhere nice because we've decided not to go abroad for at least until dc is 3. But I can't tell anyone that! It's every other day I get "when's the wedding" or "when's the baby".

FXSkip · 21/01/2016 07:30

feefs it's awful isn't it, being asked all the time when you're going to 'push one out' - people have no idea how insensitive they are.
In other news I was intercepted on my way to loo (we don't have cubicles!) by curious colleague wondering why I was going in with a ramekin. Panicked, I respond 'I think there's a leak' and now the toilet has been 'out of ordered' for inspection. Now have to go past 4 other offices to reach next nearest loo 😂

Mileymoocow · 21/01/2016 07:30

lara sorry about bfn Flowers

That's a fair point about being dpo because I've been taking the day after a positive as 1dpo. Can anyone enlighten me?

leoniethelioness · 21/01/2016 07:30

Sorry to hear that, jamjar and lara

Mileymoocow · 21/01/2016 07:31

fx LOL! The things you have to do to cover your tracks.

Feefeefs · 21/01/2016 07:32

Oft that's tricky mileymoocow we had that for every weekend away for about a year too before we actually got engaged! Talk about pressure! Where are you going in March? I'm dying for a holiday !

FXSkip · 21/01/2016 07:33

mileymoocow aaarrgggh people are so frustrating!! People always ask me when OH is going to propose, then when I say I hope never, they go 'aww don't worry, it'll happen soon enough'. WTF does everyone have to be married?

Evergreen15 · 21/01/2016 07:51

Holly I am on an iphone 5 and I cant use emoticons either
This saddens me deeply
A couple of times when I really needed to express myself properly (as we know can only be done by emoticons) I had to type a message on imessage then copy and paste. Yes, sad, I know Sad

Kathrino · 21/01/2016 07:53

Feef, we got married in October too and 90% of the priest's remarks during the service were about us having children. One of my friends told me after the wedding that she kept being accosted by members of DH's family asking if she knew when we were going to start having children or if my career was too important to me.

Impy, I also slept terribly last night despite being exhausted. I have dutifully logged it in Ovia but don't think it means anything sadly.

Jamjar and Lara, sorry for the BFNs this morning.

Mileymoocow · 21/01/2016 07:56

feef we've actually totally spoiled ourselves. We're off to Dubai in march, the lake district in may for OH'S birthday and then zante in July Blush

fx tell me about it. We've been together almost 4 years and OH has always been more keen than me to get married - it just doesn't bother me either way (I'm more bothered now though cause when we do have dc I'd like to have the same name). He was ready for children a year ago but I wasn't quite. I'm the worrier and felt we needed to save more mentally prepare more

Chocaholic88 · 21/01/2016 07:59

Morning all... today's random symptom has presented already... still have mega sore boobs, realllllllly dark skin around my nipples I'm really fair skinned so not usually like that and (fanfare please) ... it looks like I have white spots/liquid just under the surface of my actual nipples. Almost like before your milk comes in after you've had a baby. Messed up!

Still feeling sick, still have a metallic taste in my mouth and about 300 press releases to work through this morning... altogether 'yay for the female body' 😂😂😂

Evergreen15 · 21/01/2016 08:00

Thanks starky, quite proud of my poas. I got another positive that day and then all negatives, so just will dtd tonight and saturday and then rest for a month. I am so tired.

I am actually a bit upset ladies Sadit took me over a year to convince DP to TTC. He finally said he wanted to, and he has been talking about having the family and got me a car so I can learn how to drive for when the baby comes... And recently telling me about other people's babies.
But he works 2 jobs and I work full time and commute for 4 hours every day. We are both very tired. But I am the one making all the effort. Freaking temping everyday, poas, monitoring, quit alcohol coffee and sugar. And yet I have to jump him every time. He doesnt cooperate, and tonight I will have to again put lots of effort into dtd when I am as well exhausted and I feel he is not interested in sex Sad

Upset and sad today

IrregularCommentary · 21/01/2016 08:04

Kwick - you're not alone! Chocolate I can take or leave tbh, not that fussed. Give me a bag of crisps, however...

Kathrino / Feef - we've been married 3yrs this spring and it's not been the right time for us before now (I'm just turned 31) but MiL has been banging on about grandchildren for as long as I can remember. Particularly insensitive and upsetting given that she knows my BiL and wife haven't been able to and are just now starting full ivf Angry

ElleSarcasmo · 21/01/2016 08:14

Oh Evergreen, sorry you are feeling down. It sounds like your DH is into the idea of being parents but just doesn't understand what is needed on a practical level to get there? Are you both having a bad run at work, or are you always super busy? Fx it is your month Flowers

ImpYCelyn · 21/01/2016 08:16

Hugs evergreen I think this part is really tough and really does seem like an unfair distribution of labour! When dh refused to dtd twice last week at peak ewcm etc I wanted to slap him. He's complained in the past that I "always seem too tired for sex" rage, he agreed ttc, claims he really wants dc3, and then fucking refused to do the only bit it's an absolute bloody requirement for him to do. I felt so let down by him.

Unfortunately there are times pregnancy feels like that too. And you're emotional and it just feels like a slap in the face.

It's such a hard feeling, but you're not alone, and it does pass. And then it comes back, and then it passes, and then it comes back, and then it passes, and then it comes back and dp ends up under the patio

I don't know how women coped before they could come online and get support from total strangers with anonymised names HmmGrin

ElleSarcasmo · 21/01/2016 08:16

Sorry about the BFNs Jam and Lara Flowers
...but you're not out until you're out (anyone else hear that to the tune of It's not over til it's over?!)

ElleSarcasmo · 21/01/2016 08:20

Kathrino my DH's family are a bit like that. I got a bit upset last time we saw them thanks to the intrusive comments and nosy questions-how do people not realise how rude it is? I can't believe they pulled that shit at your wedding though!

Mileymoocow · 21/01/2016 08:22

impy lol at dh ends up under the patio!

Aw evergreen that sucks. Give him a slap from us! Have you tried talking to him? Does he understand cycles etc? My OH had no idea how women worked, I had to sit down and tell him that we have sex in fw cause that's the only time I can concieve. Sometimes his shifts don't allow for dtd (gets out of bed at 4pm to leave for nights at 6pm, I get in from work at 5pm and feel too gross to be in the mood)

ImpYCelyn · 21/01/2016 08:23

I think the "doesn't understand" part is true. I think men have been told so much about accidentally getting a girl pregnant that they think if they pop off the condom it'll just happen. They have no idea about ovulation and cm, for the most part. And i also think (based on anecdotal evidence from friends), they don't see a bfn as a failure, more of a so be it (until it's been happening for a long time), whereas women internalise that bfn and make it a personal failing and beat themselves up about it (I definitely do). And so I think often we're on different emotional levels. You'll need to sit him down and have a chat and lay it on the line. If he wants a baby, he doesn't have to do much physically, apart from dtd when told to. It's a minimal inconvenience compared to being pregnant.

ElleSarcasmo · 21/01/2016 08:24

That sounds hard Impy, it amazes me that anyone manages to conceive more than one child! Your symptoms sound hopeful anyway, fx postie turns up soon. The tests should still be accurate after a few hours I would say, I doubt HCG would degrade that much.(Dr here-but that was guesswork)
