Thread 6! Wowzers! Welcome one and all! Group of weirdos, wee hoarders, covert opk or okp, depending on what your autocorrect decides addicts with a side business in cm management!

Post your stats and add your dates. We have a register thanks to kat, a resident piss stick queen runner, loaaaaaads of bfp'ers who keep us positive! We don't have rules, we love a good symptom spot, we try to stay grounded and not be hysterical sometimes we manage it aswell

But on the whole, we're a good bunch, especially bunch who is literally, a bunch. bunch

Twinky it's so frustrating isn't it?! You read about implantation spotting, but it also says "lasts 24 hours" on average. And it leaves you so torn between hopeful and worried it just means somethings gone wrong this month. When it was just Sunday I was okay, but now it's still going? I don't know what to think. I hope yours resolves soon and that it is IB!

Mileymoocow · 19/01/2016 12:03

Awwww congratulations bug!! I was hoping there'd be a bfp soon. I have a slight dull ache in my kidneys and am constipated and bloated. Today is not a good day.

Lol kat I'm fair skinned and dark haired so I feel ya! I look like a plucked chicken whenever I'm waxed too.

Mileymoocow · 19/01/2016 12:04

Ovia is a bit of a dick sometimes. She's moved my ov date and test date. I'm not really mentally prepared for her changing shit up.

daydream86 · 19/01/2016 12:13

hello may I hop on board with glee? been a bit of a long time lurker in this thread have waited a long time
to ttc but the time is finally here!

my stats are: daydream, 29 yrs old (soon to be 30 argh! TTC #1, cycle #1, cd 19 of approx 35 day cycle. only using ovia and watching Cm, got some Ewcm yest and ovia says I'm in fertile window but keeps shifting it around, DP doesn't know what's hit him this week! he's knackered already poor thing and I have plans to pounce again!x

Chocaholic88 · 19/01/2016 12:19

I installed ovia then deleted it. It's full of marketing crap and more about having users for the app than being functional (and I should know as it's what I do for a living lol!)

Kathrino · 19/01/2016 12:43

I vary between using Ovia and Clue. Ovia is more useful in some ways because it analyses symptoms and is more tailored towards TTC but, as has been said, can be a real dick and I prefer the simple no-nonsense interface of Clue.

Welcome aboard daydream!

Snowdog37 · 19/01/2016 12:53

I have Ovia, Glow, Kindara and FF. I prefer Kindara and FF as they are no nonsense and no extra fluff. I just want to see my chart and be able to see a trend or if I have any hope that cycle. I love FF and have vip membership as it analyzes your cycle and you can compare/overlay charts.

twinkydink · 19/01/2016 13:06

I have read so many articles about IB this week I didn't even know it existed before! But I think I'm clinging on to nothing cos it's getting heavierAngry

Ni4444 · 19/01/2016 13:21

Congrats Bug!! 👍

Kat I agree...it's good to have an idea of grads /success rate...not if we tell ourselves off for not being on it though!! Must keep focused on moving forward!

Cm seems less than in previous cycles in the week before FW. Also it's not very white/school glue like...but not quite watery either...how shall I explain that to Ovia? God knows what she'll say this time!

Feefeefs · 19/01/2016 13:27

I really like OVIA but agree it messes you up a bit.

Snowdog37 · 19/01/2016 13:28

This is most likely nothing to do with anything but I only just noticed it lol... My boobs are veinier than normal I think... But more weirdly my nipples, just the actual little nub of it, are bright pink and the areola is kind of lumpy/splotchy brown?! I usually do have some little lumps on them but the whole areala/nipple just looks peculiar. I'm sure it's normal pre af hormones but I can't remember seeing bright pink nipples. What are other people's boobs looking like? (Clinging at straws here as af is two days away)

IndiX · 19/01/2016 13:30

Ni I'm the same, I'm in FW and wouldn't say it's school glue-like but also not watery. More like a white/watery/creamy CM sorry if anyone is eating their lunch.cant explain that to ovia!
I'm on day 3 of FW and still plan on DTD everyday, I'm a bit knackered at the thought of it tbh. I'm going to really TRY this month sex everyday during FW and EOD when out of FW, but not doing any opks but if AF appears next month I'm going to take a much more relaxed approach and just DTD whenever I want and try not to think about TTC who am I kidding?!. I'm only on cycle 2 now and said I wouldn't stress this month but already I'm checking my ovia all the time for no reason and I know a lot of people say they concieve when they aren't stressing/thinking about it too much.
Sorry for the rant, I'm going to go for a dog walk I think to clear my headConfused

Chocaholic88 · 19/01/2016 13:33

snow my boobs are so sore, veiny and dark nipples. My boobs have not been this sore since I gave birth and my milk came in. The cat walked across me last night and put half his weight (he's only 5 months old) on my boob and I screamed. Had crazy shooting pains through them from the nipples today too!

Today's random addition symptom: everything tastes so much more detailed (in addition to my metallic taste that I've become used to now). Everything I've eaten today either tastes disgusting or 10 times yummier than usual?!

StarkyTheDirewolf · 19/01/2016 13:39

Ovia does the "positive slant" I think, which encourages a certain kind of thinking, ie "ovia says this is what happens when you're pregnant so I think I'm pregnant" When it's really just pms or you've eaten too much and have wind. It does also randomly change things which induce slight hysteria and can be a mind bender. Where's mydays, which is much much simpler just charts. I'm thinking of downloading another app for comparison, any recommendations?

Holly300 · 19/01/2016 13:39

I have used fertility friend for about 4 years to record my periods. At the beginning of this cycle, I noticed everyone on here mentioned Ovia, so I decided to download it and some other fertility tracking apps. I inputted all my information from the past year so that it had accurate information of my past cycles.

I have to say that although ovia is pretty and colourful, I'm not very impressed with it and have to say that fertility friend is, in my opinion, the best I've tried. Very accurate.

Snowdog37 · 19/01/2016 13:44

I agree with Holly. I've used FF for 2 cycles and it's thorough, seems accurate and I love how it analyzes your cycle and compares your chart to others.

Feefeefs · 19/01/2016 13:54

holly what do you mean by more accurate?

ZazzlesTheCat2 · 19/01/2016 14:08

stark you were right -waste of a stick, bfn :(

Feefeefs · 19/01/2016 14:16

Sorry if that sounded argumentative or anything actually just wondering as still feel quite new to all this!

Holly300 · 19/01/2016 14:22

Feef, all my opinions are from my personal experience, but all of ovia's predictions were wrong and ff seemed more accurate. I dunno but I think ff seems to be a little more intelligent with its data.

All of these apps make predictions based on the information we input... With ovia, the predictions were way off the mark - it started telling me that I was in my fertile window nearly a week early even though I had inputted all my past cycles from the past year and even though I was reported negative opk. Ovia then changed its prediction after I reported a positive opk but now thinks that my period is going to be a week earlier than it should be due - meaning that I'll have a shorter luteal phase!! Load of rubbish!!!

harrietm87 · 19/01/2016 14:24

Congrats bug!!! It was high time for our next bfp!

I'm def going to try Fertility friend now - thanks all for the tips! I have ovia and it's been pretty accurate so far but this month I'm scared I ovulated early (not really ovia's fault I suppose!) so my fw may be already over! It was supposed to start yesterday but I had a strong opk on sun and they've been weaker since so worried I actually ovulated yesterday. I dtd on Sunday but not yesterday as was home really late from work and my ovia score was only 5 or something. I'm going to try dtd every day for the rest of this week and see what happens.

snow my nipples are bright pink all the time! I thought everyone's were like that until recently when I had a hilarious convo with some friends. Think it's cos I'm ginger with super pale skin. Changes in boobs are a definite sign though aren't they?

Holly300 · 19/01/2016 14:24

Not at all Feef! ;)

StarkyTheDirewolf · 19/01/2016 14:28

zazz never fear, you may not have even implanted yet if this is your month! But my honest advice is wait as long as possible. Make it a personal challenge. It gets easier as the days pass.

And this month, I'm going to, as much as possible, ignore any and all symptoms, and aim to just enjoy it, I will opk, but I got so bogged down with wondering that I wasn't enjoying it last month. And I do think it made a difference, I was so stressy that I think it affected my cycle. I'm going to keep an eye out for cm, but thats it.

ImpYCelyn · 19/01/2016 14:33

Well I've started getting that shaky weak feeling you get when you have a blood sugar drop, and feeling a bit spacey. I get really bad headaches and migraines in pregnancy, which sometimes start with a spacey feeling. But it could just be a coincidence... I'm not spotting enough for it to be blood loss related. Hah, cycle one, relaxed cycle = symptom spotting like a deranged person.

Feefeefs · 19/01/2016 14:55

Might get FF too then and see the difference. Don't want to do opks until I have to if you know what I mean? I think they would stress me out. I need to make more of an effort to have sex more often throughout my cycle. I think me and DH are the same we both give so much of ourselves to work and get the balance wrong! We always cuddle etc but we are both exhausted for DTD most of the time! Need to have a bit more couples time.
