Fingers crossed for everyone!!

i've used them loads - esp when PG with J I must have gone thru about 20 in the first 6 weeks as I didn't dare beleive it! lol. also I don't mind using loads if they only cost a few quid but do mind if it's a CB - althou DH and I agrere if I get a pos on a cheapo I can test on a good one after! lol (ie digital!)

goingfor3 · 13/01/2007 19:11

Hello all,

I'm on CD22, AF due Friday. I have really sore boobs and felt a bit sick today but DD one does have a really nasty tummy bug (she can't even keep water down for more than a few minutes) so it may be that I am catching it. I was really naughty and I did a test this morning which unsurprisingly was a BFN. I have no tests in the house which has lessned the temptation to do another tommorow.

ammylovesbabies · 13/01/2007 19:13

fingers crossed for you goingfor3. Is this your first cycle? x

goingfor3 · 13/01/2007 19:21

Thanks ammylovesbabies. This is my first cycle and will fingers crossed be my fourth pregnancy. I have 2 daughters and I had a misscarriage at 20 weeks with my first pregnancy.

ammylovesbabies · 13/01/2007 19:30

A friend of mine has just had a miscarriage at 20 weeks. What an awful, awful thing to happen. Just when you think u are safe.....

Good luck goingfor3. I think we all need it!!

xx

goingfor3 · 13/01/2007 19:58

It was a real shock as I had had a text book pregnancy until the day beofre it happened. I really feel for your friend as it was a terrible experience, especially as the baby was alive and there was nothing that could be done to save the pregnancy.

MrsMcJnr · 13/01/2007 22:22

Hello all, yes, I am very sad, it?s Saturday night and I?ve been dying for DH to go on his boys? night so I can have a real catch up on here! How are you all?

Hi BoJingles/PinkElephant ? hey hon, I hope you are ok and sorry to hear about the pain and the heartache it must be so hard and April must feel like months away. I was speaking to a friend from home over the holidays and she confided that her first pregnancy had been ectopic, she?d miscarried the second and the third was twins, one of which she lost and she was told that she?d lose the other too but she didn?t and she had a lovely little girl and then a boy 2 years later. My point in telling you is that she said that when you are in that position, you think it?ll never work out but it will and that the pain goes away once you have squabbling school age kids around your ankles I had a lovely relaxing holiday thanks DH is back at work and a lot better, it?s great! I have booked an appointment with the GP on 5/2. I am hoping that I?ll be pregnant before then though. The power of positive thinking! I?m due to OV tomorrow (cd17) and we?ve BDed every day since cd11 ? never managed that before so we?ll see if it makes a difference!

Hi Firststar, how are you doing? thank you for you kind thoughts for me and my DH.

Peanutbutter ? sorry to hear that, hope February is your month

Hello Endless ? lovely to hear from you and thanks for the positive vibes how are you?

Hey Honeyapple, the symptoms sound good fingers crossed, when are you testing? Are you going to hold out until after AF is due? I know what you mean though, after 8 cycles, I have had the works too but all at different times just to get my hopes up! I won?t hear you say that you can?t imagine getting a BFP I believe in the power of positive thought so spend some time imagining that baby move inside you and what it?s hair is going to smell like and how soft it?s skin will be and how it?ll gurgle at you. Hope it?s your lucky month!

PMSL Whoops at saving money at the dentist I hadn?t thought of that! My BFP (staying positive here!) is due 26/1 and I have a dentist?s appointment on 1/2, would be great to get it for free, very skint right now!

Minxi ? try not to worry about the EWCM, some cycles I have had some, others lots and others none, I don?t know why but if you stress, you might delay OV and that would make you even more worried if DH is going away, hope you are having a nice relaxing weekend!

Hello Munz ? welcome to Janaury! especially with such exciting news, hope it is a BFP! keep us posted!

Goingfor3 ? exciting times, hope the old bag stays away on Friday! Poor DD1, hope she is feeling better. Watch out, the clearblue fairy will be after you for testing early! So sorry to hear about your awful experience with the MC, really sad

Hello Ready and Ammy ? PMSL at your bathroom resembling a lab, I know the feeling!

Just realized that it is official, I am the saddest woman of all, no one else is out there posting on a Sat night!

cityangel · 13/01/2007 23:28

Hey everyone I hope you are having a nice weekend

minxi · 14/01/2007 09:48

I am not stressing until now! cd13 BD this morning (very early as have my 2 DS and a friends 2 and they were up early!!) and then a moment ago went to the loo and wiped there was blood (sorry tmi_)... why would that be - don't think I have ever had a bleed mid cycle and I am 35 this month! so alot of cycles! can't be implantation that quickly!!

Mrs Mc - your not sad on a saturday night - I would have been on but was too tired - had v late night Friday!

whoopsfallenoveragain · 14/01/2007 09:51

MrsMcJnr - I know but I didn't really get any pregnancy symptoms with ds and we had been trying for a while so thought we'd just do a test!! luckily for me it was a bfp!
Am now going to be away this month when a is due so don't know whether to wait or take a test with me although I don't think we have bd'd at the right time this month

fettle · 14/01/2007 10:43

Minxi - I wouldn't worry too much unless it carries on. You can bleed following BD for a number of reasons, but if you are concerned go and see GP. I went to GP a few years back as I had spotting following bd, which then continued for about 2 weeks. Turned out I was pg with DD! You are right though it is unlikely to be implantation spotting, but some people have some spotting on ovulation.

must go - not supposed to be on here and DH will go mad
x

MrsMcJnr · 14/01/2007 11:49

Minxi - how horrible for you re the blood. Sorry to pry but how much blood? could it have been as a result of BDing? If I were you I would get it checked out, it is probably nothing but going to see your GP will also give you peace of mind. Try not to worry and keep us posted. Fettle has got a good point about ovulation spotting.

Whoops - my advice would be to leave the tests at home! I went away the day before my birthday and 3 days before AF was due. I only had one test at home to pack so bought reinforcements at the airport only to bring them home again as AF arrived 2 days early on my birthday. I don't know whether it was the pressure from the flight or what that made it early or so painful but I am a bit apprehensive this cycle as I am away on business and like last cycle, am flying around the same time. DH has been really committed to the cause this cycle and we have BDd on every fertile day so far (Iam cd17 today and should be OV today) so if the old hag turns up again, we'll both be ultra dissapointed. Keeping high hopes though, we really will have done all we can this cycle and that though relaxes me. Fingers crossed for you!

Hello Fettle .

Hello everyone else. Do I Have any cycle buddies? cd17 today.

ammylovesbabies · 14/01/2007 14:08

Good luck MrsMC. You certainly have been busy!! Had a look at your chart and it's like the bonking chart of a porn star!! Have you been out the house in the last couple of weeks??!!

Hope it's all worth it although I'm sure it's been fun!!

XXXXXXx

ammylovesbabies · 14/01/2007 14:09

and Minxi- I've been bleeding for a few months around about the time of ovulation and when I mentioned it to the nurse she said it's because I have a small cervical erosion and these can bleed when hormone levels rise. HTH xxxxx

fettle · 14/01/2007 17:06

Hello all again!

Sorry for the really short post earlier - I just wanted to reassure Minxi, but I was supposed to be cleaning and I could hear DH and DD coming in from feeding the birds in the garden and didn't want to get caught out - especially as I was given a 2 hour lie-in this morning!!!

I hope you've had no more bleeding Minxi - it is possible to you have a cervical erosion, which (TMI) can be knocked during BD-ing causing some bleeding. Keep an eye on it.

Where are you Greedy? I know DH is away, but I thought we'd be hearing more from you, not less. Hope you are doing ok and not feeling too down about lack of ov - I miss you

Hi MrsMc - hope everything is working out for you - well done on the BD-ing. Sounds exhausting. Hope you are able to rest at work

How's everyone else doing? I don't have time to pop on as much or for as long as I used to, so I feel I'm missing some of you. Have to go now, as need to cook DD supper.

Take care and I hope you all have great weeks.
x

minxi · 14/01/2007 18:13

Thank you Fettle and Mrs McJ... the bleeding was just a bit (probably enough to think of af but then not if you know what I mean ?!) after wiping myself then again after going to the loo it was alot of ewcm with blood through and that has been it... so not sure what that was all about - will have to BD again before Tuesday as our only chance for conceiving this month I think! No cm since! Nver had it before so just thought how weird... anyway thanks for the advice will wait and see x

lissielou · 14/01/2007 18:24

hi all, been on the feb thread coz id decided that jan wasnt the month but you never know, so here i am. we were ttc for 6y then i fell pg with ds, had awful pg, lots of bleeding early contractions etc, which ended in a crash cs and nasty gbs in my womb. since then (ds is 20m) ive had 3 confirmed mc and 2 suspected, weve been ttc since april and getting v down about it now. got all the symptoms again, swollen belly (gone up a size in a week) sickness, lightheadedness hunger and exhaustion but af is due on the 21st (my bday) and just need a bit of support

MrsMcJnr · 14/01/2007 19:24

Ammy, PMSL at your post and had to let DH read it, hope you don't mind, he had a swagger to his walk when he left the room and a big smile!! It has been fun actually and hasn't felt like hard work at all, I'm ashamed to say that some of the other cycles have felt that way! . Thanks for your good vibes for me.

Fettle, I know what you mean by missing the ladies on here. I can't get on at work so I have to catch up in my spare time now, not like before LOL but I am LOVING my new job and the people so I guess I can't have it all! Have a good week.

Welcome Lissielou, sounds like you've been having a hard time sorry to hear that. I hope this is your lucky month. Talk to us all you like and we'll try and give you the support you need. Fingers crossed for next Sat. What's "gbs"?

lissielou · 14/01/2007 19:31

its group b strep, most people are carriers and if newborns are infected it can be quite nasty, but with me it had migrated into my womb during labour and was undetected for 2w. as a result i was v ill. how long have you been ttc?

MrsMcJnr · 14/01/2007 19:38

Sounds nasty, poor you. We've been TTC our first baby since the middle of June when I came off the pill. Which is 8/9 cycles. This is my 7th month of charting and I've read tons of books and tried tons of things so this cycle I'm making a play for Lady Luck and trying to keep calm! (and doing lots of BDing!) I'm 33 and just feel the real yearn for a baby now and just wish it would happen soon!

honeyapple · 14/01/2007 20:00

Hi MrsMcJnr-
We too have been BDing every day- so I like you feel pretty happy that as much as is possible to do has been done.
This month has been great because DP has been really into it! I mean- before I often felt like I was nagging him to BD, which was making me really miserable. I think something just switched in his brain this month- the realisation that he really does want another baby...or perhaps he was cross that he wasnt getting me PG... I dunno, but something changed.

I must say that my boobs are very sore and kind of tingly- feels a bit like when you are breast feeding, and you can feel the milk coming down. I'm trying not to get too excited.

lissielou · 14/01/2007 20:01

when is af due?

honeyapple · 14/01/2007 20:02

20th jan

lissielou · 14/01/2007 20:06

day before mine. have you had the clearblue craving yet?

honeyapple · 14/01/2007 20:15

Well of course- but not much point yet!
I've bought some cheap tests of ebay, so will probably give one a go when they arrive!
I think i will leave the clear blue i have stashed till AF due though.
