Fred rules (copied and adapted from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.
  5. Thou shalt not be offended by the word vagina.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others. Also known as 'the witch', 'bitch witch' and 'that one with the red shiny convertible'

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a <strong>Kitten</strong> = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit), or PIATLH (Tea light holder), PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in! PONF = Pee on Nigel Farage (Self explanatory)

ROC = Receptacle of Choice - what one chooses to use for the task of POAS. Optional decorations include photographs of controversial political leaders.

JIAC = Jizz in a Cup. Preferable to jizz on the carpet or jizz in the eye. This one's for the lucky men in our lives.

Jizz in a bra = how we transport the jizz to the Sperm Queen

Shagging like <strong>Something</strong> = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into TTC obsession. Warning - this may happen to you if you start trying to POAS at 5dpo. PUT. THE. PISSY. STICK. DOWN. IT'S TOO EARLY!

Contraband (or Cuntraband) = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

SOTM = Shagger of the Month. Awarded with varying regularity to those viroids who go above and beyond EOD shagging in pursuit of that BFP

TWOT - Two Weeks of Torture. AKA Schroedingering!
TWPU - Two Week Piss Up!

Keeping your gingers = fingers crossed, yet another autocorrect development! Shortened to 'gx'

Doing A <strong>Lemon</strong> = Testing WAAAAAAAY to early!

Miroid - The male compadre of a viroid

Cat - Compulsory

Skittletits - Killer molten painful tits and nipples

Ghost jizz/goat jazz - When the amazing foof sucks up all the jizz - achieved when coming at the same time/nearly the same time.

Ah fail not goal!!!! I give up...

SockQueen · 07/11/2015 13:13

Woo Ill that's a fantastic line!

MyBlackCat · 07/11/2015 13:27

Great line ill congratulations Star

Illiria · 07/11/2015 13:39

Many thanks everyone - it doesn't seem real, still too early to wake DH.

oneyorkshirepud · 07/11/2015 13:57

Wake him up!! Grin So, so pleased for you Ill, how long have you been ttc?

Pee if you Google NHS info it will tell you how much caffeine you can have. I can't remember as I don't normally drink caffeine so I didn't have to worry about it. I do recommend millicano roast bean decaff instant as a good substitute though!

Illiria · 07/11/2015 14:02

Poor DH he was 'well that's only a bit of a line', thought it was like an oak and had to be of equal color. He is being overly cautious and doesn't want to get excited at all.

Illiria · 07/11/2015 14:12

illiria, 32, ttc no 1,

18 months and 3 iui with clomid and trigger shot.

This month I seemed to be surging the day I had scan so they gave trigger that morning and iui the next morning. This might have been what did it as I metabolize other things quickly so might do same for trigger.

Also took 1000mg of vitamin c all this month.

Peenut · 07/11/2015 16:28

Woo ill! I know that faint line makes you question what's going on but it's a line and that I've found seems to indicate your are indeed with child/tiny cauliflower blob baby!! Very pleased for you!

Thank you for taking brain space from your discovery for caffeine advice Wink!

Will definitely have to seek out a decent decaf to wean myself off the harder stuff, thanks for the recommend Pud. Nhs gives advice on instant and filter coffee, got paranoid the ground stuff would be too potent. Thanks for your well wishes guys, DH stepdad back home with no memory of how he fell down the stairs, very weird but thankfully he's OK. We think it might be stress related, possibly sleep walking like you said ill.

ANYWAY! Congrats again ill in a tentative early pregnancy test way. Gingers for you. Relax and try to not stress too much x

Peenut · 07/11/2015 16:32

Ps - this is a lucky Fred is it not? Three tentatively upduffed ladies? May wobble luck extend further in a John Lewis Christmas advert sort of way fires womble conker from telescope (not sure if you will have seen that as being in the U.S. ill)

Illiria · 07/11/2015 16:54

Peanut many thanks, I thought filter coffee was from grounds and that's what most coffee places use.

www.nhs.uk/conditions/pregnancy-and-baby/pages/foods-to-avoid-pregnant.aspx is the one I use.

Does anyone know if you can have ranch dressing when ttc?

pretzelpieces · 07/11/2015 16:55

Yay ill brilliant line! Congratulations!

oneyorkshirepud · 07/11/2015 17:30

I think ranch dressing is a weird American thing Ill, so I dunno. Grin (I say that as someone who lived in the states for quite a while!)

justtheonethen · 07/11/2015 17:47

Unless it's made with raw egg I don't see why you couldn't

justtheonethen · 07/11/2015 17:49

Ugh I'm in a foul mood. Two baby bombs...two! One delivered whilst telling me and dp we should get a move on Hmm. Was deeply tempted to tell them to fuck off but luckily my best mate called at the perfect moment so I could excuse myself for a moment and cry bitter jealous tears calm down.

justtheonethen · 07/11/2015 18:08

Quick bit of advice-would you go out and leave a stew in the oven?

justtheonethen · 07/11/2015 18:31

Panic over, I've just discovered my swanky range has an automatic turn on/function! Amazing! I feel I've been doing it a disservice not using it to full capacity!

MyBlackCat · 07/11/2015 20:28

just you will have made your ovens day Grin

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 07/11/2015 20:29

Congrats ill!

Serving Wine to you all with a bit of nice cheese and some Cake. Happy Saturday viroids!

ChatEnOeuf · 07/11/2015 22:43

NFMV: witches can fly. Which we all knew anyway...especially given how much I've cooked my steaks this week :D I'm glad it's been a lucky Fred though - 3 BFPs and Lil's really cooking a mini. Lovely :)

Illiria · 08/11/2015 00:49

corgi88 · 08/11/2015 01:13
