Fred rules (copied and adapted from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.
  5. Thou shalt not be offended by the word vagina.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others. Also known as 'the witch', 'bitch witch' and 'that one with the red shiny convertible'

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a <strong>Kitten</strong> = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit), or PIATLH (Tea light holder), PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in! PONF = Pee on Nigel Farage (Self explanatory)

ROC = Receptacle of Choice - what one chooses to use for the task of POAS. Optional decorations include photographs of controversial political leaders.

JIAC = Jizz in a Cup. Preferable to jizz on the carpet or jizz in the eye. This one's for the lucky men in our lives.

Jizz in a bra = how we transport the jizz to the Sperm Queen

Shagging like <strong>Something</strong> = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into TTC obsession. Warning - this may happen to you if you start trying to POAS at 5dpo. PUT. THE. PISSY. STICK. DOWN. IT'S TOO EARLY!

Contraband (or Cuntraband) = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

SOTM = Shagger of the Month. Awarded with varying regularity to those viroids who go above and beyond EOD shagging in pursuit of that BFP

TWOT - Two Weeks of Torture. AKA Schroedingering!
TWPU - Two Week Piss Up!

Keeping your gingers = fingers crossed, yet another autocorrect development! Shortened to 'gx'

Doing A <strong>Lemon</strong> = Testing WAAAAAAAY to early!

Miroid - The male compadre of a viroid

Cat - Compulsory

Skittletits - Killer molten painful tits and nipples

Ghost jizz/goat jazz - When the amazing foof sucks up all the jizz - achieved when coming at the same time/nearly the same time.

Glad you're feeling a bit better Ain. There are days when DH comes home and I could happily punch him in the face but couldn't really tell you why. I've settled with the explanation that he's a man. That's is all. They are annoying.

justtheonethen · 29/10/2015 23:25

What hope said, could cheerfully murder dp just for being sometimes Grin

Lovely chat, sounds blissful. I'm not keen on Halloween fancy dress, I scare easy Blush

Ain626 · 29/10/2015 23:38

Aw, thanks Hope and Just.

I do think without you lovely viroids I would be driving myself even more crazy than I already am.

oneyorkshirepud · 30/10/2015 03:12

When is tink due back?

Ditsy79 · 30/10/2015 10:46

Gahhh. AF arrived this morning. Sad Enjoy ur hols chat. Glad ur feeling a bit better ain

KeepTheHope · 30/10/2015 10:49

Chat have a lovely holiday!

Ain you are very welcome. My DH is in bad books this morning. Asked him when I was making dinner last night to try on what he wanted to wear to DSSis's wedding reception tonight (he hasn't worn his suit in rather a long time and we might have both put a bit of weight on since then). That meant depending what shirt he wanted to wear, if he had worn it for work this week I could wash and dry it last night and just iron today. Of course he decides to leave it until we went to bed. Of course the shirt needs washing. Of course he was running late this morning so didn't put it in the wash when he got up. Stupid man.

Disclaimer: he's actually usually very domesticated and good at this stuff, apparently just not when I actually need him to be!!

Rant over Grin

fruitlovingmonkey · 30/10/2015 14:53

Happy holiday chat, hope the witch can't find you Wink

justtheonethen · 30/10/2015 20:17

Sorry ditsy Flowers

hope sounds like mine! Enjoy the wedding.

So, any sperm experts about? Grin

Dp finally found the print out of his semen analysis. Gp said all was fine, better than fine but I want to check.
Results were:
Volume:1.5ml
Concentration:28.0 x 10^6
Normal forms:8%
Total number:42.0
Progressive:65%
Non progressive:6%
Non motile:29%

So as far as I can tell the concentration is good, progressive ones are good and normal forms (morphology) is good. Not sure about volume and total number though. Seem to be reading that volume should be 2-5ml and total number should be between 40-300million so his would be at the very lower end?

So am I right in thinking that the quality is good but there aren't many of them or much of it?
Just confused as to why gp wouldn't have said that if so?

lildottie · 30/10/2015 21:30

just 1.5ml is borderline low volume, but stage fright may account. Concentration is count, I think 28million which is on lower side but above reference range. Motility is 31% so fine, morphology I would guess is the 8% but again whilst lower is it in concern range.

See reference ranges here

lildottie · 30/10/2015 21:32

Oh and I've said it before but I'll say it again 1000mg vit c per day! With zinc if you can get it! Dhs motility went to 79% and morphology from 4% to 15%

lildottie · 30/10/2015 21:36

Ain I cried when sil announced 2nd pg. I cried for hours. You're not a bad person. It's hard to break out of those dark spells but you need to find a way to remind yourself of what makes you proud to be you. Maybe write it down when you feel better to look at when you feel low. Unmumsnetty hugs x

justtheonethen · 30/10/2015 21:55

That's what I thought, thanks lil. Good to have you back Grin

Ain626 · 30/10/2015 22:37

the Oracle arrived in time to answer your question just Smile

thank you Lil for your kind words. I'm still not in a great place today. I'm over the pg announcement. even spoke to my friend and congratulated her. and I was kinda okay all day today until DH came home. his bad mood is rubbing off negatively as I'm not in the right place to deal with it. anyway. he stormed off to bed and I snuck out the house like a naughty teenager and went to Costa well, the petrol garage with a Costa machine . am slowly walking back to my house now. almost willing to bet my savings account that he hasn't noticed I'm gone...

justtheonethen · 31/10/2015 01:16

Knew that would tempt the oracle out of hiding Grin

Good on you for going out ain, he will have noticed but will pretend he hasn't. Why is he grumpy? I can't stand someone else's mood setting the tone of the house. Dp used to do this. I met his moodiness with relentless perkiness for my own amusement. He's learnt now that if there's something he wants to talk about he needs to actually talk!
Hope you got a shot of caramel in your coffee. I LOVE the costa garage machines.
I had a jealous sob earlier as dp's cousin proposed to his pregnant girlfriend. Cue lots of "it's not fair", "everyone else is getting married and having babies". Very undignified. Dp gave me a pep talk which mainly consisted of saying let's have more sex, any more sex and my fanjo will fall off and reminded me I don't actually want a wedding Confused

I have this jealousy overriding everything I do, it's constantly bubbling under the surface and tainting every thought I have and interaction I have. I feel a bit like I'm going slowly mad. Like I'm constantly trying to keep the crazy in check. Half term hasn't helped, too much time to think.

Sorry, me me me!

Just sobbed my way through first heartbeat, programme about a couple who had lots of miscarriages and then went on to have two children. Was just heartbreaking but amazing when they had their baby. It was wonderfully real and I thought they were amazing for filming their journey. Anyhoo, she talked about mumsnet and the support she got and I thought about you lot. The viroids truly are amazing, you keep me same and make me giggle when I'm feeling low. Love you guys Grin

Ain626 · 31/10/2015 06:23

Aw just We all love you too!

Sharing the love all round. I luffs you all muchly. Flowers

So... I'm feeling a bit better. I had my Costa (hot chocolate, not coffee). Turns out DH had no clue I went out. He was snoring his head off when I got back home. He came downstairs and noticed my Costa cup on the coffee table and was completely confused. I had to tell him I had been out.

I haven't been to bed. I have cleaned my kitchen and my living room and sorted out my Brownie unit's accounts (they were a mess! I took over the unit in September). Well, I say 'sorted'... they at least make some sort of sense now, but I'm not that great with Excel. I'm sure I could have done it a simpler way... I've also done a considerable amount of online window shopping.

Been looking at Radley bags. Considering buying myself one as there is a sale on... Pretty much narrowed it down to 2... Can't decide... Also been looking at dresses - I want a new one for the work Christmas party.

oneyorkshirepud · 31/10/2015 07:26

Ain! Go to bed you nutter!!

corgi88 · 31/10/2015 11:17

Hello viroids! Yay for the weekend!
Dear God Ain I hope you've gone to sleep now!! Yikes.
just I too feel a bit crazy! And am hypersensitive to any pg announcements on Facebook etc. I feel like a really horrible person since before we were TTC I would just be pleased and happy for those preggers, but now I feel really jealous which in turn makes me feel dirty and horrible!
I just had a really exciting almost positive test, even yelled for DH to come look at it, but then it faded :( :( I was being a lemon and misreading the test (was a Boots own brand one and had a weird horizontal line that went away). Waaaaa.
Anyway the reason I was testing at CD16 was because I had some post-DTD bleeding this am.... My smear was 2 years ago but obviously I am now freaking out about cervical cancer... Will book myself into doc's asap bit just wondering if anyone else gets ovulation spotting at all?? I had a couple of spots last month around ovulation time too. So confused!
I think I need a hooyah....

angelazul · 31/10/2015 11:44

Happy Halloween everyone!

Flowers all round for everyone.

Ain I hope you've had some sleep!!

Corgi I had ov spotting 1st 2 cycles off the pill, but none since. Chances are it's ov spotting, but prob best to get it checked out.

Cold is finally disappearing & I got a new haircut yesterday - feel like a new woman, so there's no stopping me now GrinGrinGrin

oneyorkshirepud · 31/10/2015 11:57

Oh dear Corgi that seems like a bit of an epic morning. I think perhaps you have done too much shagging and have broken your foof! (Medical diagnosis there) Grin Defo get smear tested in the next 2 weeks as I don't think you can do it once upduffed?? You will know better than me!

Also, it could be implantation bleeding if you oved early. Just saying
Halloween Grin

lildottie · 31/10/2015 12:42

Na. Just happened to get back on mn at the right time just!

ain you nutter! Buy both Radley bags obviously! Send pics/links!

SockQueen · 31/10/2015 13:02

lil great to see you back! How are you doing?

Ain WTF are you playing at? Hope you're sleeping now!

Corgi I had post-coital bleeding once or twice after having an implant put in. Went to the GP and had a smear done, all ok and it settled down. I don't know about it being specifically related to ovulation though.

Started more contraband (temping) today in a vague hope it'll help. Not sure I'm going to be able to reliably do it every day though. And in-laws coming for lunch tomorrow so I have to blitz the house today!

lildottie · 31/10/2015 13:12

Hi sock I'm OK. Counting down the hours until scan on Tuesday now. Can't belueve I'm 7+1 already. Not really got any symptoms except ginormaboobs and bloating. Have had a bit of ms but nothing debilitating.
You'll be surprised how even irregular temping can pick up a pattern. I used to leave my bbt on my snooze button to remind me to do it!

Ain626 · 31/10/2015 14:24

Corgi have you had a particularly epic shagathon lately? Or is there any way you could have scratched yourself or something? I've done that... long nails... didn't realise at first as was in the moment! Or it could be ov bleeding. Or anything really. Try not to panic too much about it.

Talking of smears though - I can't actually remember when I last had one... But considering I've lived in my house about a year and a half and I haven't had one since I've lived here I should maybe find out.

I did have a little sleep. Went to bed about half 7... woke up again about half 10... DH thankfully has had a much better sleep and appears to be in a better mood today. I'm feeling a little bit better...

Maybe it's the lack of sleep, but maybe not I love a good 'bad' joke . My dogs name is Buster. It's halloween. I draped a white towel over him and took a picture. He is a GHOST-buster! Ha! I'm so funny sometimes! Hmm Grin

Radley bag links...

www.radley.co.uk/pottery-lane-small-flap-over-grab-bag/ It's the grey two-tone coloured one I like.

www.radley.co.uk/chelsea-small-zip-top-grab-bag/ - I like several colours!

I would say one is more of an evening/going out bag whereas the other one is more daytime... I don't know! Lol. I want a little bag that is big enough for purse, keys, phone, maybe a couple of bits of make-up. Mostly for things like if going out of dinner, etc. but also if I go shopping I normally take a small handbag with me. My current favourite is just a Matalan cheapie but it's ripped... I purposely want one with a 'cross body' option.

I also like the Swimming Pretty purses www.radley.co.uk/swimming-pretty-medium-zip-purse/

lildottie · 31/10/2015 15:13

I am obsessed with Radley so I say buy them all!
