Fred rules (copied and adapted from previous Fred)

 1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
 2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
 3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
 4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.
 5. Thou shalt not be offended by the word vagina.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others. Also known as 'the witch', 'bitch witch' and 'that one with the red shiny convertible'

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a Kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit), or PIATLH (Tea light holder), PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in! PONF = Pee on Nigel Farage (Self explanatory)

ROC = Receptacle of Choice - what one chooses to use for the task of POAS. Optional decorations include photographs of controversial political leaders.

JIAC = Jizz in a Cup. Preferable to jizz on the carpet or jizz in the eye. This one's for the lucky men in our lives.

Jizz in a bra = how we transport the jizz to the Sperm Queen

Shagging like Something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into TTC obsession. Warning - this may happen to you if you start trying to POAS at 5dpo. PUT. THE. PISSY. STICK. DOWN. IT'S TOO EARLY!

Contraband (or Cuntraband) = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

SOTM = Shagger of the Month. Awarded with varying regularity to those viroids who go above and beyond EOD shagging in pursuit of that BFP

TWOT - Two Weeks of Torture. AKA Schroedingering!
TWPU - Two Week Piss Up!

Keeping your gingers = fingers crossed, yet another autocorrect development! Shortened to 'gx'

Doing A Lemon = Testing WAAAAAAAY to early!

Miroid - The male compadre of a viroid

Cat - Compulsory

Skittletits - Killer molten painful tits and nipples

Ghost jizz/goat jazz - When the amazing foof sucks up all the jizz - achieved when coming at the same time/nearly the same time.

Hi blondie ! Good luck Smile

just I think so yeah. I was staring at it intently for ages! Will try again in the morning and see what happens. If it's a bfn my body is fucking mental, I honestly nearly vommed in the middle of the fruit aisle at asda Hmm but still sort of convinced I'm imagining things...

MistressWeatherwax · 25/10/2015 18:44

Kate I can def see a faint line... Eeeek! Gx for tomorrow weeing.

I've still been ill and mainly pathetic for the past 10 days or so. On the path to recovery though now melodrama so hoping to dtd later.

Feeling a bit conflicted about it all though, as much as I want another baby, I found being pregnant and the first year really tough. My DC is now 2.5 and ace but there's a bit of me that views TTC with trepidation. But I'm hoping that's normal, or normal-ish at least.

justtheonethen · 25/10/2015 20:16

Eeek! You're so pregnant kate. sorry. reins excitement in. Tentative congratulations Grin

mistress glad you're feeling better. Can't comment on that as this would be our first but I know friends who feel the same, want a second but found it hard. Only you know if it's worth it. I guess if you want another in the long run then going through pregnancy and first year is a tiny proportion of that. Does the long term out weigh the short?

we've had a great day at friend's, but I nearly didn't go as I had a feeling she was pregnant Blush. It sounds so silly and selfish to say but I didn't think I would handle it gracefully so nearly cancelled. She's not anyway and even if she was I would be thrilled for them. Just feeling a bit vulnerable at the moment I guess. Feeling like the worst person though.

Peenut · 25/10/2015 21:04

Kate! I can see a line! It's sort of there when you first glance at it and then your eyes loose it! Don't want to get you over excited but a test for tomorrow is a must ;)

Just don't worry, I think it's easy to build things up in your head to be worse than they are. Glad you had a nice afternoon. I think that's really good you went ... I've sort of come to the conclusion there is no escaping the pregnant new born brigade, basically everyone I know!

justtheonethen · 25/10/2015 21:17

pee that's what I decided. At my age everyone is so I need to get over it and remember no one is pregnant at my expense, even if it feels that way!

pretzelpieces · 25/10/2015 21:36

kate I can't see anything but i did squinters on ics for 4 days before posting one on here and having everyone bellow at me "YOU'RE UPDUFFED YOU FOOL" (they were right) so I'm probably the wrong person to ask, and they are the right people to ask Grin

justtheonethen · 25/10/2015 21:46

Ha ha yeah don't listen to pretzel, she couldn't see a line for toffee!

pretzelpieces · 25/10/2015 21:48

Grin just tis true. Maybe kate is similarly afflicted. Thank heavens for the shaggers!

YouBastardSockBalls · 25/10/2015 23:09

I can see a line Kate. Congratulations Flowers

And if that's an Asda own brand, they're pretty reliable and I had faint lines like that to start with too Smile

I'm going to be bowing out of ttc for a bit viroids. I have a feeling that something's not right after my 2 EMCS and all the strange pains and weird periods I've been having, plus the fact that I'm not pregnant yet. I suspect adhesions as they found some during second EMCS, and if that's the case I don't want to risk getting pregnant yet if it's not v hospitable in there...!

I'm not feeling too bad about it, I've been so lucky to have 2 already and I think I need to get this looked into. Got docs on Tuesday so I'll go from there.

I'll keep dropping in though! Keep shagging! Grin

coribeth · 25/10/2015 23:35

Deffo a line Kate
Ah nights again ward is filled with police and people who don't seem to be able to remember the word please or thank you for that matter remind me why I love nursing again ?! Confused

Ain626 · 26/10/2015 00:32

Kate I can see a faint line too. Tentative congrats! Check with the unicorn in the morning and see if you can see anything clearer. Grin

I'm really tired... I have this really annoying cough that is keeping me awake (and DH!) so have come downstairs again. I can't sleep, but figure DH should at least be able to try! I had a horrible coughing fit that started pretty much as soon as I tried going to bed and went on for ages. Not even a lemsip, cough medicine and a Halls soother was enough to stop it. It's finally eased off a little, but I keep having coughing outbursts... I get the feeling it's going to be a long night.....

Illiria · 26/10/2015 01:23

Kate looks good, gx.

Nfmv- 38 million sperm post wash deposited this morning. Dh was very smug.

Illiria · 26/10/2015 01:32

Ain sorry to hear of cough. Do you have asthma or allergies?

Sock unmumsnetty hugs, defo keep dropping in.

KateBeckett · 26/10/2015 05:45

Masses of hugs sock I hope the docs sort you out quickly. Flowers Wine

cori you love it because you are making a difference? Sorry that people are being rude twats tho...

ain have you tried sleeping propped up? Last year I had a really shitty chest infection (it was so bad I broke a rib from coughing - honestly!!) and the only way I could get any sleep was propping myself up on as many pillows as I could find...

KateBeckett · 26/10/2015 05:47

Also, I peed on a thing with fmu... Eep. Double eep. Grin

KezAgain · 26/10/2015 07:15

But I DO see that one - congrats kate!

Gx ill Star

I know the type of cough ain and it is mega annoying. Hope it goes soon x

Aww yb. You have to do what you feel is best. Gx you find out if/what something is affecting TTC and if so it is sorted in good time so you can get back down to business Flowers

Peenut · 26/10/2015 07:18

How exciting, definite line alert! I think that's pretty normal to feel freaked out when it happens! I know I would be, as well as delighted and relieved! I love you got up at the crack of dawn to test! Halloween Grin

Let us know what the doc says YB, hope all is OK.

38 MILLION? Swim boys, swim!

KateBeckett · 26/10/2015 07:29

peenut I didn't get up that early on purpose! Apparently another of my symptoms is insomnia- I woke up about an hour earlier, then finally gave up and got up!

justtheonethen · 26/10/2015 07:43

Congratulations kate!

ill he has good reason to be smug! Swim boys swim!
