Geek - how embarrassed am I? talk about teaching your Granny to suck eggs! so sorry. Does that mean though that you can solve my problem? I am trying to move my software to another computer without losing my past cycles, how can I move them?

Temp dropped by .3 this morning

I know exactly what you mean, makes perfect sense to me! . I think it's easy to read a pg sign into anything don't you!? especially at this stage!

the LP stage is normally the same length of time in a person so if you OVd later than usual, AF/BFP will probably be later too. Sorry!

Re tests - yup, meant to use first urine as the HCG is most concentrated then, apparently!

XmassyCharlotte · 27/12/2006 21:46

MrsMc - I don't know how long my LP is; it's my first month of proper charting. Having said that, I wouldn't be surprised if OV was delayed this month due to stressing about it and that therefore my cycle will be longer than 27 days. Grr. Want an answer one way or the other before NYE!!

MrsMcClaus · 28/12/2006 09:32

Of course, sorry, I forgot . I woke up to cramps this morning, they are as low as they can go and up to my waist and all around, not the usual AF stuff but don't sound good for a BFP either. Plus, I am really regretting doing that test yesterday as I only have one cheapie and a digital to take with me - might have to buy reinforcements at the airport! Cheerio for now, I'll have everything crossed for you!

MrsMcClaus · 28/12/2006 09:38

Just been for a final chart spot!

Natty - looking good, perfect timing of OV around Christmas!

Geek - we need an update! how are you cycle buddy?

Xmassy - sorry about BFN this morning but remember 70 odd % don't get a BFP on 10dpo. Hang in there

Festive greetings to Greedy, 3Cats, Snowydays, Sparkly, BBW and all of my spotter pals! x

XmassyCharlotte · 28/12/2006 11:03

Have a fab holiday MrsMc. Now then - where's everyone else gone . Am I the only one left with nothing better to do than be on MN??!!

Bad cramping this morning - textbook AF symptoms, if I'm honest. Preparing myself for AF imminent arrival, but as it's my first month of charting I'm just watching now to see how long my LP is and so far am glad it seems to be holding off! I was worried when I OV @ CD17 (originally the s/w put it down at CD18) because my last few cycles have been 27 days and it looked at first sight that my LP might only be 9 days. Now on 10dpo and no spotting yet. All bodes well for the future

Natty1806 · 28/12/2006 12:34

Hi

Hope you have a fab hol Mrs and if you can e-mail me before you go, i will give you my mobile number and you can text me if you get a BFP and then i will let everyone on here know for you.

Yes it looks liked i oved on xmas eve but only managed to fit some bed action in on Saturday (so day before ov) and not managed to do it again since, just been so busy and the week before no action either as OH was working late and too tired.

went to doctors yesterday for my re prescription of clomid (only 2 months left on it) and dr started saying make sure you have enough sex and don't do it a week before you are due to ov so the sperm can build up and then do it for 3 days in a row around ov and then whenever you want after that. I felt like saying 'tell my OH he is the lazy git'

I really want to give the next two months my best shot as i have LOD book in march and would love to be preggers before that, any ideas on how i can get OH to get me loving 3 days in a row? So far i have thought of a break away?

Xmassy - chart is looking good, even if you don't get a BFP at least it will give you lots of info once 1st chart is complete.

Hope everyone had a fab christmas.xxx

Hi Natty

Temps holding but another BFN test this morning. Ah well. Know what you mean about getting DP to be into it at the 'right times'... it's a lot of pressure for them, I think.

Next month I was thinking about just telling him in advance roughly what the few days will be and letting him get on with it. He does know, after all, that it's important for it to happen every other day at least during that period. But somehow we ended up this cycle with him looking slightly scared as he got into bed each night during the fertile phase!! Can't say I blame him really... he's not used to being jumped on so much!!

I think a break away could be a good idea, although again I worry that it could be too much pressure. I was trying to get mine to see that he should try to get into the mindset that it's a GREAT opportunity for him to have as much sex as he likes... a couple of years ago he would have relished the chance!

How's everyone else doing? Greedy? Geek? Call in and let us know!! Hope everyone's been having a lovely Christmas.

Natty1806 · 29/12/2006 10:56

Yeah i am thinking of not telling him this month as it does put pressure on him even though he does not say so. I might have a chat with him when AF arrives.

Chart is looking good, fingers crossed tests are just too early.

My thermometer is lost in the spare room, my room is being redecorated so everything has just been thrown into the spare room. Should get it back sometime over the weekend.

xx

greedyformincepies · 30/12/2006 22:52

when af arrives natty?...........IF af arrives you mean! once is all it takes isn't it! this could be YOUR month! why not? i know 3 people who have concieved really quickly on clomid by the way, and one of them had twins! 2007 will be a great year for us all!!!!!

greedyformincepies · 30/12/2006 23:08

geek.......i have just looked at your chart, its looking good....whats happening?
xmassy yours looks good too...fingers crossed!

Natty1806 · 01/01/2007 10:52

Thanks for the positive thinking.

Happy New Year to All. xx

geekInPigtails · 01/01/2007 16:54

Happy new year fellow chart spotters Well despite what I thought was a really good month for us, AF turned up this morning. Really disappointed, as usual! Temp has been plumitting for the past few days, so should have expected it, but I was trying to stay positive.

Hope you all had a good New years eve. Anyone got plans to do things differently this month?

XmassyCharlotte · 02/01/2007 11:17

Hi geek, hope you had a lovely Christmas etc - sorry to hear about AF turning up

AF turned up for me on NYE... sigh. I don't feel justified in getting down about it yet because it's so early really, and was our first month of charting. Am really pleased with my first month's chart, anyway... it's been helpful to see my temps looking relatively normal, and am fairly sure that OV is happening (or at least, did last month). My LP appears to be 12 days too, which I'm pleased about.

I'd better get on - the house needs an entire clean from top to bottom. We're off to NY on Friday for 5 days, so I'm going to try and forget about ttc while we're there, and hopefully for the few days when we get back to a certain extent. I don't want to be stressing about it, I really don't. What does everyone else do when they're in a diff time zone re. temping? Do you still take the temps at the same time when you wake up? I would have thought that your body would normalise fairly quickly, and that after a long sleep your temps would be the same as after a long sleep in a diff time zone.

We3catsofMNare · 02/01/2007 15:02

Happy New Year to you all.

Sorry about Af Geek and Xmassy.

Will catch up later this week once the little ones are back at school.

greedyformincepies · 02/01/2007 16:14

happy new year to all you chart spotters!
sorry to hear about af geek, your chart looked good too.
anyway.....i read somewhere (!?) that 2007 is going to be THE year for all chart spotters to get pregnant! so we will all be 'with child' by the end of the year! i am SURE of it!
i am still waiting (patiently!!!!) to ovulate! i HATE having such a long cycle!

greedyformincepies · 03/01/2007 19:34

snowy...if you are out there i really think you need a new thermometer...your chart is a bit all over the place isn't it? is it always like that? i didn't rem it being like that last month.

mrs!........come back! i know you said you would hunt down a pc if you got your bfp and you haven't been on here, but i am still hopeful for you and thinking about you!

rahrah1 · 04/01/2007 09:45

HI, can someone tell me the best way to start chart spotting and what is needed. I have tried the ovulation sticks this month and they have not shown any surge for me, so thinking I'm one of those people they don't work on. Therefore been looking as some threads and thought I would try something different that can determine ovulation. Thanks for help in advance.

Thanks londonlottie, I think I will order the book, as that has been mentioned before to me.
I mid-way through cycle, so will need to wait until cycle begins again. What is the thermometer that you need to buy, is it prly used for fertility? Why can you not use a normal digital thermometer?

Thanks X

I have a digital one, think I need to know what I'm doing as been taking temp and its all over the place. One day it is 35.7 and the next day it is 36.4, the it goes back down again. I have got a cold at the moment... but on day 15 today so would of thought I would of ovulated (however the ovulation kits have not shown a surge, but going with advise from someone that they do not work for everyone). I have a temp of 36.2... I think I better get that book ..lol

Good idea... It will get me in the habit of everything...what should your temp be when ovulating or does everyone's temp vary?
