Geek - how embarrassed am I? talk about teaching your Granny to suck eggs! so sorry. Does that mean though that you can solve my problem? I am trying to move my software to another computer without losing my past cycles, how can I move them?

Temp dropped by .3 this morning

Wishing all the TCOYF Charters a very Merry Christmas and a Wonderful New Year. All the best for 2007!! I may have to invest in the software if I am not pg by Feb!!!!

x

greedyformincepies · 22/12/2006 14:01

mrsmcspink! you still have over a week left till you know so dont go working yourself up yet girl! get a grip!!!!!! try and chill out over xmas, and stop symptom spotting! it wont do you any good. ok?

We3catsofMNare · 22/12/2006 14:03

Afternoon all.

AF arrived first thing .

I shall be enjoying the mulled wine over Christmas - one of the only positives I can think of.

I think with me feeling so rundown and all these annoying ailments it was unlikely to happen this month.

Perhaps once the stresses of Christmas are over it might be easier.

Only another 14 days to go until Ov

I'll probably stop taking my temp during AF just to help me destress a bit.

Hope you all have a fantastic weekend and a wonderful Christmas. I look forward to coming on here after Christmas and seeing some good news .

Big Hugs and Babydust to you all.

Natty1806 · 22/12/2006 14:23

SOrry about AF 3 cats.

I agree with greedy Mrs - relax. x

MrsMcClaus · 22/12/2006 17:05

No, no, no! my puking etc is NOTHING to do with TTC - give me some credit, I'm ony 3 or 4dpo!! p It's all 'cos I had a very late night last night at the office night out, then 4 1/2 hours sleep before heading into work and although I didn't have much wine, it seemed to really effect me, probably because I haven't been out for a while! I'm fine, not stressed at all about TTC, my BFP is due 29/30 and I certainly don't want to wish Christmas away so as far as I am concerned, this will be the easiest 2ww ever!

MrsMcClaus · 22/12/2006 17:08

Really sorry about AF 3Cats - hope you are feeling well enough to enjoy the mulled wine! I am still feeling very delicate after last night's excesses!

MrsMcClaus · 22/12/2006 17:09

Sorry Greedy and Natty, suddenly thought, maybe you meant my comments about the CM rather than the puking! if you did, don't worry, I'm cool

greedyformincepies · 22/12/2006 17:14

.......i was just worried you were symptom spotting already and getting carried away. i suppose i knew you were far too sensible for that really!

really sorry about af 3 cats.....have a lovely boozy xmas and enjoy the kids you already have!

MrsMcClaus · 22/12/2006 18:59

Greedy, nice to know you care about me!

Sado that I am the Friday night before Christmas getting my MN fix but I have missed been able to ponder at my leisure over the last two weeks

I have been playing with my chart - do you like my new colours?! I changed my preferences to ignore my CM this cycle because it is totally haywire and low and behold, it changed my OV date to Mon which is what I think.

I've been chart spotting too.

Natty - great time to be OVing

BBW - take it your DH is home

Sparkly and Geek - will be thinking about you both at the end of the month.

MrsMcClaus · 22/12/2006 19:00

Sorry and you Xmassy

sparklytreeangel · 23/12/2006 00:19

Helooooo everyone am off soon and will be able to post until the 28th and then off to remote Scotland romantic but citychic will pine MN access!

Geek I am really hoping for you and hope everything works out!

MrsMC thanks for your kind words

Everyone I am running out of time and dh is getting really irate over packing but I really hope all your christmas days are fun

PS The chart spotting software does a great print out to take away which I dh discovered. I mentioned I lost the paper one and he logged on and sorted a blank CD one. Fingers crossed next months data even when away will now be accurate

Xmassy Charlotte how are you doing. Big hugs for Christmas hoping its a good relaxing time for you and dp

MrsMcClaus · 23/12/2006 12:00

Sparkly - have a great time at Christmas and a lovely time over New Year in Mull! (it was Mull or was it Arran grr my memory!) I'm here at home until 28th and then I'll be in Spain so most likely there'll be radio silence until 8th Jan unless of course I get my BFP and then I'll HAVE to find an internet cafe!!

MrsMcClaus · 23/12/2006 12:27

Morning ladies - feeling a bit sad and lonely posting so much on here alone!

No Clomid this cycle Natty?

Sparkly ? going to be looking out for good news from you when you come back on 28th, fingers crossed hon x

Xmassy ? I know what you have been up to! You need to go into mass delete in edit and clear out the days you posted on and then deleted as it could distort things, for some reason, just deleting the info from the day itself is not enough, I know this because your chart shows up to 7dpo when you have only in-putted for 4dpo.

Natty1806 · 23/12/2006 12:52

Yeah i have taken clomid but nothing else not even folic acid - naughty natty.

Have re-done my chart to show this.

have a nice Christmas everyone and fingers crossed for some BFP's xxx

XmassyCharlotte · 23/12/2006 21:31

Hello all..! Hope everyone's almost ready for the big day on Monday. Went Xmas shopping today with dp and it was surprisingly quiet in London; I was expecting mayhem.

Liking the new colours MrsMc - had a look at your chart... now, one question: how come you've got all those crosses through temps that the software is ignoring... I don't have any of those on my chart..? Not sure if you've got a setting set that I don't know about!! I do have the box ticked that mentions overriding unusual high temps, etc (hence my 'rule of thumb' thumb before).

I have absolutely no symptoms of anything at the moment. Don't think we BDd at the right time, especially since the s/w pushed OV back a day. My two most fertile days were my two quietest on the BD front!

Last month though I had sore boobs for 10 days, cramps for 4-5 days... it was hell! So at least am pleased I'm not having to deal with that. Trying to take it easy on the booze front over Christmas too; which is never easy. Here I am, the Saturday night before Christmas and I'm sat on MNet at 9.30pm! Turned down drinks at a friend's because I just KNOW it's going to be a very messy affair. Sat here with my glass of wine trying to maintain an air of civilisation .

Will miss all those who are off for a few days over the festive season - we're staying put for most of it, although I've been surprised with a trip to New York early in January by DP. He's got a lot to make up for these days!! Still, should be great and I'm trying to control my shopping mania already by not getting too excited.

3cats - sorry to hear about AF But here's to enjoying Christmas itself; I have a feeling I'll be joining the others in the January thread before the end of this month.

Will be thinking of everyone testing between now and the end of the month... geek, sparklytreeangel, mrsmc, and anyone else!!

XmassyCharlotte · 23/12/2006 21:33

Oh, and MrsMc - I'm considering myself well and truly told off!!

Have gone back and Mass Deleted the relevant days!

MrsMcClaus · 26/12/2006 10:36

Hello ! Hope you are all having a lovely day (know you will be BBW ) We had a party for 9 on 24th and 6 for Christmas dinner yesterday, the whole family (in laws) are still sleeping and I just can?t be bothered to tidy up the chaos that is my entire house yet! feel like that and cook is all I?ve done for the last few days but it?s been fun! I?ve been taking it easy on the booze front just in case. 8dpo today and not a symptom to speak of!

Xmassy ? The crosses on my chart; I know that my temps don?t fluctuate much if I get up early or late so I have my preferences set to always ask me before it re-calculates any temps. If I say no, it crosses them out and ignores them but I can still see them and the time they were taken so I find that useful. It is different from Rule of Thumb because that is the software considering the temp to be a rouge one for the point in the cycle. What a lovely surprise about NY!!! wasn?t telling you off for predicting ahead hon, we all do it! By the way, your BDing was fine, up to 5 days before and 2 days after OV is perfect timing, try not to worry and stay positive!!

Natty ? OV on 24th?! Hope you are making the most of being on holiday

Geek ? wonder how you are hon, any symptoms? 10dpo aren?t you? Wishing you tons of babydust.

Sparkly ? thinking bout you and sending baby vibes too

Snowy and Greedy how are you both?

XmassyCharlotte · 26/12/2006 11:37

Hi MrsMc - glad to hear you had a lovely Xmas Day etc... for a change, we spent the day in Battersea helping out at this event for all the local old people that takes place every year. It was amazing... haven't ever done anything like that before and it was prompted by not really having any family around on Christmas Day, for once. A very grounding experience.

I am almost 100% sure that AF is around the corner - I have TEXTBOOK symptoms of her arrival. Am feeling very short-tempered, getting slight cramping, CM (as you mentioned the other day!!) is no longer sticky/sticky type. It's so interesting actually being aware of my body each month now - last month I had sore boobs/cramping for about 10 days before AF; this month nary a thing.

Hope everyone's doing okay and surviving Chrimbo!! xxx

XmassyCharlotte · 26/12/2006 14:07

PS: Temps are looking good MrsMcClaus!

MrsMcClaus · 26/12/2006 23:13

Xmassy what a lovely thing to do, that was really kind and selfless of you. One of my new year's resolutions is going to give more back to people, don't feel I do enough for those less fortunate than me.

DH is watching footbal so I thought I'd sneak on here for 10 mins or so. I'm feeling very bloated and gassy today but that could be Christmas food, I am hoping that it is not a sign that the old bag is on her way, I would so like a BFP as a birthday present later in the week

I hope you are wrong about AF. Is the CM more creamy than sticky now then? what a question! I am exactly the same about the boobs this cycle, feel nothing - odd isn't it!!

XmassyCharlotte · 27/12/2006 11:05

Hope that's all the Christmas fare MrsMc (causing the bloating, that is). Wow, I was SO grumpy yesterday, I was 100% convinced AF was on her way. Not suffering so much today (and neither is DP) so who knows. My temps are way up today, but confession I indulged rather too heavily in red wine last night, and my other sky-high temp came the morning after a similarly indulgent night. Is alcohol meant to distort your temps like that?

On the CM front, it's varying from creamy > sticky each day. The things we share with each other!! My boobs feel a BIT sore today, first day of that. I am pretty sure I'm not pg, at least - I really don't feel pregnant, at all. Maybe it's intuition, maybe not. Last month, peculiarly, I was much more positive - but I think that's because I had such weird symptoms for such a long time before AF came.

MrsMcClaus · 27/12/2006 17:46

Hi there Hope you are feeling less grumpy today! it understandable though, this is the worst point in the cycle if you ask me! Alcohol is meant to hike your temps up but I think it does depend on the person, late rising and booze don't seem to affect mine much. Sorry to hear that you are not feeling that positive, some cycles you do and others you don't, there just seems to be no rhyme or reason to it really. Keping my fingers crossed for you. I intend to pop on tomorrow before I head off for 10 days to see how you are

Not as bloated today but if I was symptom spotting (which I'm not!) there would be some odd ones. 9dpo today and feeling more nervous than anything. I do have a good feeling this cycle but I have been wrong before!!

XmassyCharlotte · 27/12/2006 18:10

Hello!
Yes, feeling less grumpy today, but DO have a hangover to contend with!
I've just spent a while reading a great thread on the tcoyf.com forums, where everyone who's just got a BFP posts what their 2ww symptoms were, if any.

Very enlightening - mainly because everyone has such different symptoms that it makes you realise that symptom-spotting is utterly futile! I found it really interesting, and encouraging too, to read of so many success stories. It was also interesting how many people said they really didn't have any intuitive feeling that they were pregnant, despite thinking that if they WERE pg, they'd somehow 'feel' pregnant. There was the odd post from someone symptom spotting on there and it does make me smile sometimes, the different things that we all think could mean something - one woman said she had really bad ear ache... and please could someone tell her if that was a symptom!

Lucky you off for 10 days, sounds wonderful. Hope it'll be a fabulously relaxing time for you and DH. I will be keeping my fingers crossed for you - and my toes - really hope it's your turn this month. BUT you MUST find a way to let us know what the news is!! I don't think I can stand the suspense!

Maybe it's because I really don't have any particular feeling about it this month, I've already caved into doing a pg test. I have 3 or 4 of the cheapies left and think I'll just do a test each day now until AF arrives (or BFP!!). That was another interesting and grounding thing about reading the 2ww symptom-spotting thread - I looked at a lot of the women's charts, and reading their posts describing their symptoms it was amazing how many of them backed up that statistic you have previously given about getting BFN pg test results at 9,10,11,12,13 etc DPO... only then to go on to get a BFP a few days later. So that made me feel better about doing a test now, because I knew that it could only be good news. Either it was a BFP (it wasn't of course), or it was a BFN - which only means that the jury is still out, until evil AF arrives! That's enough justification for me now, I think...

So go on then MrsMc - what are these odd symptoms (IF you were symptom spotting, which you're not)? How are you feeling, apart from nervous that is!

MrsMcClaus · 27/12/2006 18:26

I was on those boards last night having a peak too! and on twoweekwait.com . I know exactly what you mean about the threads, it really makes you realise that the only 2 ways to know whether or not you are pregnant is to get a BFP or your AF! . I also spent some time looking at the success charts and I found that really heartening because there were quite a few who had been trying for a while, didn't do anything new but then got their BFPs, made me realise that it does happen and the other thing was how little some people with BFPs were BDing, that made me feel better after our less than amorous cycle!! .

Confession time for me too I don't know why I did it but I tested today too. It was 12.30 (I KNOW - stupid!) and I used a dip in cheapie. Got a BFN but am not bothered at all, I know that it is far too early to be getting a BFP at lunchtime, if at all. So like you, I am staying positive until the AF or BFP arrive.

The odd things are feeling a bit queasy every now and then and then feeling better after food. I could not put my finger on it yesterday but I just felt really odd. My boobs are definately bigger but not at all tender and some veins are showing on them which is not usual for me but has happened before. I also woke up last night to use the loo and had a really odd taste in my mouth. I never normally wake up in the night. So there you go, nothing you can put your finger on, just a few observations that could be but might not be signs! Oh the power of the mind!!

Don't you worry, I'll be in touch either way!

XmassyCharlotte · 27/12/2006 18:40

Well those symptoms all sound very familiar from my reading of those boards..!! I think you're in the opposite position to me - you have some well-known symptoms there, but you probably don't want to think too much about what they could mean just in case they turn out NOT to mean what you hope they mean!! (Does that make any sense??) On the other hand, I have no discernable symptoms whatsoever!!

Although - and this will make you laugh - of course, after reading those boards, I DID start to think that I might have some symptoms after all. I have been going to the loo a LOT, and have had really bad wind for the past two days... both of which I managed to find on the 2ww symptoms board!! So there you go - conclusive proof! It dawned on me this afternoon that AF should be here in a couple of days, although I'm wondering whether or not my cycle might be a bit longer this month as I didn't OV until CD17. My last 3 cycles have all been 27 days and before that I didn't take note of exactly how long they were so have no idea whether I'm particularly regular.

Re. those pg tests - I know I'm meant to know this, but I take it that you're meant to use them with early morning urine? I too did mine this afternoon, so probably a complete waste too!!
