Geek - how embarrassed am I? talk about teaching your Granny to suck eggs! so sorry. Does that mean though that you can solve my problem? I am trying to move my software to another computer without losing my past cycles, how can I move them?

Temp dropped by .3 this morning

Thanks ready. I'm not normally into that kind of thing so much (more of a rock chick) but I just love the guys voice!

greedyforbabies · 19/01/2007 20:10

Ooooooooooooooooo! profiles hey? im off to have a nose!

greedyforbabies · 20/01/2007 09:37

started spotting today and i am only 9dpo. i normally have a much longer luteal phase than this. temp is still up at the moment, but i dont expect it will be for much longer!

greedyforbabies · 20/01/2007 09:38

3cats....any news on af?

MrsMcJnr · 20/01/2007 10:20

Hello from me! Had a really bad night last night. I had been feeling headachy all day and tried to ignore it as I was at a birthday party in another city last night. It was hell getting there, the train was so hot and cramped and then I got drenched when I got there trying to find the bar. Had a couple of small glasses of wine, plenty of water and lots of food. I know it doesn?t make up for the 2 glasses of wine anyway, on the way home, the headache got worse and I was really scared that it was a migraine coming on. I went straight to bed. Woke up at 2am, the pain was right behind my left eye, migrating across my head, typical migraine, I was dizzy and was sick but managed to resist taking anything (yet, I cannot resist the wine ) Managed to get back to sleep and amazingly, it has gone this morning. Had a really odd sweet taste in my mouth in the night before I was sick, very strange. Sorry, probably TMI

Ohhh! I have never read the profiles before, it?s nice to know more about you all!! . I shall go and complete mine in a mo.

Greedy hello, why don?t you want to temp next cycle? Do you find it stressful? I find it the reverse, it gives me a reality check each morning, for better or for worse! Thank you for your good vibes for me, I so hope you are right but hey, without sounding negative, when it doesn?t seem to ever happen, you begin to woner if it ever can if that makes sense. Hope the spotting is not AF on her way hon. By the way, you are my age twin and I love the Magic Faraway Tree and I don?t have the excuse of reading it to kids!! Are you not a 24 or Nip/Tuck fan? I love those as well as Lost and Desperate Housewives.

Geek ? you sound lovely and chilled out Isn?t it funny how a few of us are getting funny coloured CM this cycle? I?ve done a bit of reading up and whilst it is unlikely to be implantation at this stage, it could be related to the follicle and the egg bursting out of it. This is apparently a good fertility sign. Let?s hope so for us both. LOL about you being excited about my CM, I return the compliment! Will go chart spotting and come back after I?ve looked at your temps.

Actually, a charting question for you all, do you mark pink or brown CM as spotting? Or just put it in the notes? I?ve just been noting it.

Hello Ready ? I liked reading your profile too!

BBW, 3cats, LondonLottie - how are you doing?

Cityangel - where are you hon?

greedyforbabies · 20/01/2007 10:31

mrs! i am glad you are feeling better this morning. i have never gotten into 24, but would love to! my dh keeps saying he is going to buy them all on dvd so we can see them all, but it hasn't happened yet! i saw a few nip/tucks but my dh said it was trash! so if he doesn't like it that tends to mean we dont watch it! i could go and watch it on the other tv, but i am so sad i prefer not watching it and staying downstairs with dh. i don't feel like i see enough of him anyway.
i think i can safely say my spotting is af on her way, which means i will be concieving in march now instead of jan as planned! november baby? not sure what i think of that! mind you nov is a quiet month in our family for birthdays so it could be good timing! at least i would be able to drink at xmas! ok then, i have convinced myself! march is goign to be my month! DEFINATELY!
not sure why i dont want to take my temps really, probably stupid isnt it and i am changing my mind already. i guess i thought i would be more chilled if i didn't. last month i was expecting my temp to go up every day from about cd24 and it didnt go up till cd34. i know that stress can delay ov, and i think every morning when it HADN'T gone up i was thinking 'oh no, what if dh can't perform again tonight' and i am sure i was stressing myself out and delaying things!

greedyforbabies · 20/01/2007 10:35

ok so what is 'peak day' then? yours is a few days after ov mrs, so what does that mean?

cityangel.....where are you? you haven't been around for a while?

MrsMcJnr · 20/01/2007 10:54

Been looking at the charts -

3Cats ? do you feel better now AF is here hon, I know you were feeling dreadful. Hope Feb is your lucky month.

BBW - you?re having some odd spotting too aren?t you? Do you think it is just the tail end of AF? I note your AF was shorter than usual this cycle. All calm on the home front?

Geek & LondonLottie? your charts are looking good, 4 great BDing chances there!! fingers crossed!

Cityangel ? you, Geek, Cityangel and I are around the same stage this cycle. Fingers crossed for you too!

Snowy/Sunny ? are you out there? We miss you! See you are CD12, coming up to the active time again!

I?m annoyed with myself really for not temping properly at the beginning of the cycle because for once, there seems to be very little variation in my pre OV and post OV temps (so far) this cycle, I don?t know if that is good or bad but my pre OV temps seem on the whole to be higher than before.

Ready ? what?s going on with you?

24 starts again on Sunday Greedy, it is so addictive!! Never was a Keither (sp?!) fan but he is pretty cool as Jack. I know what you mean about DH?s man hogging the tv control, DH is putting up with Nip/Tuck at the mo I think ? it?s quite dirty and I think he likes that ! I?m exactly the same about watching TV alone.

Sorry that you feel AF is on her way. A November baby will be lovely Greedy, sorry that it?s not October but who wants a birthday at half term?! My nephew is a November baby and he is the most precious, lovely little boy .

I do appreciate that it must be so hard keeping the BDing up for so long, Why don?t you try to go for every other day after cd22 until you are sure it?s happened, might put less pressure on you both? I really don?t know what that Peak day thing means, I must look it up, at the moment it just bugs me!

greedyforbabies · 20/01/2007 11:30

3 (or 4 cant remember!)cycles ago my plan was to bd every other day after cd22 and then when i checked my temp on cd22 it had alreay gone up! i had a 30 day cycle that month and only one good BD chance! now i like to start BDing around cd 18! i think we will go for every other day from cd18 and see what happens! hang on...just working out when that will be.......looks like we will be having lots of sex around and before valentines! how nice! dh birthday then too, so maybe we can fit 2 in that day!
its a gorgeous day here today......sun sun sun! I LOVE IT!!!! (at work at the mo though which is crap!)

greedyforbabies · 20/01/2007 11:32

It's lovely here too Greedy - though I swear the house was swaying last night from the wind though! Hope the BD plan pays off for you, if you need it that is. My DHs b'day is around Valentines Day too.

Here is the answer to The Peak question:

The "peak" day is identified as the last day of your most fertile cervical fluid (or vaginal sensations), and is typically the most fertile day of your cycle occurring just before ovulation. It also has the best quality cervical fluid for the sperm to reach the egg. It is highlighted with a "P" on the Chart and WebChart, and the days following it are dry-up days sometimes numbered from 1 to 4. These are days of decreased fertility. The first day after peak may also be highly fertile, but the days following this are generally infertile. This assumes that you have recorded your cervical fluid correctly and have not misinterpreted it in any way. Because such interpretation is subjective, the peak day may not always correspond with days of highest fertility.

Peak is used in the algorithms which estimate your ovulation date and when you have entered post-ovulation infertility. There are typically 2-4 dry-up days required (the numbered days after "P") in conjunction with a thermal shift to make a definitive estimate of ovulation.

So, still makes no sense to me why it's after OV on my chart, it assumes that you have a complete dry up after OV though which is never the case with me!!

Some cycles I get hardly any or no EWCM but still get alot wetter around the right time. That wetness is fertile too (there may be EWCM up where it matters even if you can't see it). As long as it is wet, count it as EWCM no matter the creamy colour. The pre-seed may help if it is a fertile day anyway but won't convert one that isn't into one.

Hope DP is feeling better - I can sympthise, we were probably calling for Huey around the same time!

greedyforbabies · 20/01/2007 13:48

lottie - your job sounds very glam! do you think these profiles give a bit too much away? i couldnt resist filling one in, but panic that i have lost my anonimity!

Ready · 20/01/2007 14:11

Greedy - I tried to not give too much away about myself... but know what you mean! The Magic Faraway, oh what wonderful memories you have brought rushing back to me!
You should rent/buy 24 DVDs, you will become addicted. We borrowed seasons 1&2 from a friend as we didn't watch it at first, and we nailed 1 on 4 days and 2 in 6!!! Square eyes at the end, but TOTALLY worth it! Now that we watch them as they happen I get terrible impatience and get very very sulky!!

MrsMcJnr - I've always loved free mints at restaurants (freak! I know!) But reading your profile has put me off . Loved your profile, a fellow control freak optimist - a rare breed we are! I am so nosy I am loving reading about everyone!
Your migraine/sickness sounds awful, glad it was short lived. At the risk of a chinese burn from greedy, is it a good sign perhaps?? I too am a mahoosive 24 fan (always loved Kiefer though ) so cannot wait for Sunday. I heard it is the last one though... hope not.

What's going on with me you ask? Well, you really have opened the floodgates now. I am in turmoil today. ARGH! On the one hand feeling very positive, as reading the net has (perhaps foolishly) led me to believe that my pink/brown spotting is a super fertile sign, a good sesh (sounds seedy!) yesterday and OV hopefully today and the promise of another concerted effort tonight - all good!! BUT... DH (bless him) has just texted me and is NOT playing again today, not even on the bench so it really isn't looking promising that his contract will be renewed in May So I have been looking into comparables for our house that I am resigning myself to selling in the summer. It sucks! We just got settled. And then someone wants to pull the rug from under us again. RANT.

Sorry... please forgive me for my self centred behaviour. I am just so frustrated at the moment.

Yes... where is Cityangel?? I want to read her profile

Hugs all round!

BBWBabeLisa · 20/01/2007 22:13

Your job does sound very glam LondonLottie! Which part of Spain are you going to? I grew up there .

at you teasing Greedy. I?m actually getting to the stage that I don?t care if someone recognizes me. It?s my right to want a baby and if there is someone I know on here, chances are she is trying for one too so I think it?s pretty safe ? can you tell I weigh up risks for a living!?

Hello Ready Glad to hear all is going well on the BDing front. Sorry to hear about the uncertainly around your DH staying with his team. Do you have any idea where you might move to if the worst comes to the worst?

I?m getting increasingly pessimistic about the spotting incident & brown CM. No more spotting but the pink cm on 4dpo turned to brown on 5dpo (older blood I guess) and then hardly any yesterday but more today, 7dpo. I have been reading up on the net and am getting myself all worried that it is a burst cervical cyst and that my chances are doomed this cycle . I?ll try to be positive but it?s really worrying. Plus DH has asked when we?ll know, he?s pinning his hopes on this cycle because he was such a great performer at the crucial time!

Also, I?ve had to lie on my chart . I got up late today and yesterday but when I was truthful, the software cancelled out the temps and changed my OV to 17/1 instead of 14/1 especially given the positive OPKs. My coverline is ridiculous as a result of the random times I temped earlier in the cycle so I didn?t want the whole thing thrown out of sync even more. I think my coverline should be 36.25 don?t you? I?ve got a note of the times (8.30 and 8.50) so I might put them back in later when there are more temps for the software to predict on.

Loved your profile BBW !

How is everyone feeling? Off to chart spot.

Morning ladies...

Lottie - I could be completely wrong, but I consider pink/grown/red CM to be spotting, but probably best not to go "looking for it"... so 'spots' in knickers and visible on a toilet wipe... Someone tell me if I am wrong please!

MrsMc - I concur with your converline. I am only a novice, but your temps look triphasic to my untrained eye!?! That's a good sign, right? I agree with Lottie (hey, Lottie, we should set up a mutual appreciation society ) about the OPKs, I would think that any inaccuracy would be a - result, rather than a + ... as in surely they cannot detect what is not there?? IYSWIM?? RE the cysts, it's entirely possible to have too much information at our disposal (I am just as guilty as you!!) - but it's not always a good thing! You are causing yourself probably undue stress and worry. I would say that if it happens in another cycle then ask your GP (aren't you going soon anyway??).In the mean time, try not to imagine the worst, and take it as a super fertile sign! That's what I am doing regarding my 2 days of spotting.

Right... I am off to nosy at your charts

MrsMcJnr · 22/01/2007 13:25

Afternoon ladies how are you all today? I am away from home for most of this week on business so cannot fill in my chart but I'll try and keep you posted on here. I'm 8dpo today, temp normal for now, 36.4, spotting pink today, some cramps - I hear what you say Lottie & Ready but I am trying to protect myself from disappointment, you know how it is!

Lottie - You'll be fine pg in Valencia, shouldn't get too hot again until July

Thank you for backing me up on my day of OV, I was outraged when the software dared to change it!! I agree about the OPKs, if they are positive and then go negative again or were negative and then went positive around the right time, they should be working.

I do have the adjust temp option but tbh my temps don't really change that much if I sleep in by up to a couple of hours so I didn't get them re-calculated (maybe I just like seeing the high temps even if I know they are flawed ) plus I think the lies ins from the beginning of the cycle were just too long!

Thank you also for your positive attitude on the spotting. I know if you were telling me what I am you, I'd be telling you it sounds like a good thing. Why is it so different when it's yourself? I do agree, my charts have looked pretty normal to date and I have been really relieved about that. It is so odd though to have spotting/tinged CM from 3dpo - 8dpo (so far!).

Good question about CM v spotting. I am confused too!

Hi Ready thank you for your good vibes for me too. Some people get +ive OPKs all the time, PCOS can do that. Promise to stop reading up on scary lady problems! . Seeing my GP on 5/2.
Glad to hear your spotting finished.

Been chart spotting

Time for the fleecy pjs now the work is done Cityangel? and you Natty - almost there!

Greedy - you are being very quiet. I like the look for your chart.

Geek - you are keeping us in suspense, your chart was going triphasic! what's happened since?

Lottie - your's looks good too! keep those temps up girl!!

OP posts:
greedyforbabies · 22/01/2007 14:19

mrs - the ONLY reson you like the look of my chart is because it doesn't show when we BD'd! if that info was on there you would realise i have no hope this cycle!
i am off to chart spot now too!

3catstoo · 22/01/2007 14:25

Afternoon all.

AF arrived in full on saturday morning, just as predicted. Still feel c**p.

I've put my thermometer away for this month. I'm going to try having a break for one month to see if my stress levels are reduced - probably won't work but I'll give it a go.

Haven't been chart spotting yet. My pc is a bit slow again so I'll look them up later.

I can see where your DH is coming from MrsMc, what with all the effort this month.
Fingers crossed that your spotting doesn't turn into anything else. I have everything crossed for you.

I can sympathize about the migraine, I had one too. All Saturday and Sunday. I have that punch drunk feeling today - like I'm on another planet.
It happens around AF every month but it still takes it out of me. I should be used to it by now after 20 years of them.

Greedy - sorry to hear about your spotting so early. Anything come of it? It could be a positive sign. Fingers crossed for you too.

Hope everyone elae is well - will look up your charts later when my pc gets going.

Natty1806 · 22/01/2007 14:46

Yeah nearly time for fleece pj's, we bd wed, Sat and Sun think ov happened yesterday so should i go for it again tonight and Tues? It's just OH goes out on Tuesdays and would need a bit more effort to fit it in before he goes out.

Not sure if it is because i am on clomid but i get pretty uncomfortable ov pains and then today as i think it is the day after off, my insides feel tender/bruised. Do you think this is because of the eggs popping out?

Sorry not really had time to look in depth at everyone's charts but must say Lotties and MRs is looking good, but i suppose they all do until that plumet on the last day or so.

Sorry to hear about AF 3cats, i lost my thermometer for a week or so last month in the 2ww and it was a lot less stressful so hopefully it will make you more relaxed having a month off.

Fingers crossed for everyone. x
