Geek - how embarrassed am I? talk about teaching your Granny to suck eggs! so sorry. Does that mean though that you can solve my problem? I am trying to move my software to another computer without losing my past cycles, how can I move them?

Temp dropped by .3 this morning

MrsMc - Oh... well I did say I was useless so PCOS can affect the OPKs ... but would they give -s and +s?? or just always +s?? There is a fine line between optimism and fblind optimism I guess. You are right not to get your hopes up too much, but allow me to be ultra positive!? I forgot to say before that we have no idea where DH will go from here. It's just a case of waiting until his contract is up and his agent drumming up the interest! We've been there before, so it's nothing new... it's just really frustrating that we have to keep moving. But we'll be fine

I think someone will slap me one of these days for being so positive and cheery! Or I will end up falling into a pit of depression.

Ha ha, slightly daft story from me (shock I hear you cry!!) to give you all a chuckle!! Well I suddenly had a metally taste in my mouth and I thought "OMG it's far too soon for that"...But allowed myself a minute to dream ... then realised I had cut the roof of my mouth somehow (!?) and it was the blood that I could taste. Yes, I really am that stupid!
Tee hee.

Hello ladies

Natty, I think I would go for it again tonight, but not worry about Tues. I've heard some people say that the day of OV is the last day you 'need' to BD, others say the day after, any later than that is very debatable. So if you can fit another little heart in tonight, congratulate yourselves on a job well done, and let DH relax on Tues! (sorry, that sounded pretty authoritarian didn't it?! it's just what i think!)

3cats, sorry about AF and the migraine, hope you're feeling better soon and that you have a lovely relaxing fertile cycle ahead of you!

Sorry MrsMcJnr, I didn't mean to keep you in suspense! Just posted my latest temps. Didn't post yesterday because yesterdays temp was unusable - had loads of trouble sleeping and had to get up an hour earlier than normal. This morning it was a tad lower than Sat, so I still don't really know what's going on. I'm glad someone else said the word "triphasic" before I did - I've been thinking it but trying not to if you see what I mean! I'm being really bad with symptom spotting this month too - analysing every tiny little feeling of nausea or AF-like aches (either of which could just be tiredness), and checking out my boobs in any mirror I pass!

Oh, I'm so hopeful, but at the same time can't help thinking about how gutted I'll be if I'm wrong!!! Aaaargh! I'm only 8DPO today, and AF not officially due until next Monday! How am I going to cope until then!??!!?

Natty1806 · 22/01/2007 16:16

Thanks geek will aim for a heart tonight so would say we have put a good try in this month, last few something has always come up so we have only managed it once around the fertile stage and i wonder why i am not pregnant, anyway more hopeful this month.

greedyforbabies · 22/01/2007 20:06

how many months have you been on clomid natty? i know you said, but i cant remember sorry.
i should really BD tonuight! not for ttc purposes but cos we haven't for over 2 weeks now! not good for our marriage! mind you dh has been away for 10 days of that! but can't make excuses cos i wasn't exactly ripping his clothes off as soon as he got home! (might have got some funny looks from my ds and dd if i had!)
my spotting hasn't developed yet, but it will! only 11dpo!

Natty1806 · 23/01/2007 08:39

On my 5th cycle (only allowed 6) of clomid.

Didn't managed any sex last night as OH has a cold and you know what men are like think they are dying.

Temp dropped this morning but did wake up about 45mins before taking temp - could this have effected it? Have asked OH for a quickie before he goes out tonight just in case i have not ovulated yet but to be honest i think i did ov on Sunday but who knows for sure until i have done my temps for a few more days.

Not got time to chart spot today but will have a good look at the weekend when i have some more time.

Hi everyone, I am just checking in.
I have a little boy of 26 months and we are thinking 'baby number two'.
So to this end, I found out about and started using Fertility Friend a couple of months ago, after wading through the excellent training course they email.
However, I'm finding it all a bit confusing. Can't seem to take my temp at a set time, or even remember to take it quite frequently.
Not sure about CM, always think 'hmm it could be this or that'.
I'm also taking supplements recommended by other MNetters, which I am remembering to take by and large, but it's all quite a lot to remember for my sleep-deprived brain.
Is this normal when you start out???
Help!
Is Fertility Friend the one you guys recommend??
Thank you for any help.

geekInPigtails · 24/01/2007 11:50

Hello maisiemog, welcome!

I knoooww, taking a good temperature every day is surprisngly difficult, and I don't even have kids yet!

I use "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" for recording my temps, which seems pretty good, but you do have to pay for it - though it has a free 2 week trial period if you wanted to give it a go. It makes some attempt at adjusting your temperature if you get up within 2 hours of your normal time, but that still relies on you getting a good chunk of un-interrupted sleep. How's your LO doing with sleeping through?

Hi and welcome to Maisiemog.

I think most of us are on the TCOYF software but a few do use the FF software.

It is tricky to start with, it's just getting into the habit.

Good Luck.

MrsMcJnr · 24/01/2007 18:35

Hello to all, sneaked on whilst my sister is putting my nephews to bed. There is a short cut to Mumsnet on her computer what if I get found out - came in via google!!

Temp 36.5 today at 5.59 - 10dpo so hoping AF doesn't turn up!

OP posts:
greedyforbabies · 24/01/2007 20:34

you are a bit naughty mrs! sneaking on like that!
maisimog...i use fertility friend! mainly cos its free and i had (stupidly) assumed that i wouldn't need to use it for long as i would instsntly fall pg........obviously hasn't happened but i still use it! i did try the ovusoft software and i do think its better, but you do have to pay....so it depends if you are a tightarse like me or not i guess!!!!!

my biggest bit of advice on taking temps is to always let your thermometer equilibrate! i know it sounds crap, but i am a scientist ( well, used to be!) and we would never accept one reading in the lab......we would always take 2 readings and take an average or make sure they matched. anyway i tend to put my thermometer in for at least a minute before i press the button and then check it again after to make sure its the same. i normally get out of bed briefly before to get my ds and take him for a wee but it doesn't seem to affect my temps at all!

greedyforbabies · 24/01/2007 20:35

mrs! did you know your sister used MN? if not, are you going to try and hunt her down and read her posts?.......i would!!!!!!

BBWBabeLisa · 24/01/2007 23:30

Hiya girls
Just checkin in quickly. Not got much time to be online at the mo as DH is away on exercise til a week on Thursday/Friday leaving me on my own with DD who's loaded with the cold. Have been popping on for a few minutes here and there but haven't had time to check out charts for ages, but thinking about you all and hoping we get a BFP this month for one of you.
CD14 for me, dsperately hoping ov holds off til DH gets home, the software is now saying I should ov a week on Saturday, which would be great as he's due home on either the Thurs or Fri so we should be able to squeeze in a couple!
Natty! Good to see you back with us!
Welcome Maisiemog. I'm using the TCOYF software and love it, but still have trouble remembering to temp before I get up and go to the loo.
MrsMc - just had a quick peek at ur charts, ur usually 11 or so days LP aren't you? When are you planning to test?? or have you already? crossing everything for u!

BBWBabeLisa · 24/01/2007 23:35

P.S. I'm with greedy! I'd stalk her posts and see what she's been saying, am nosy like that.

karenj1980 · 24/01/2007 23:41

sorry to crash are you still on for tomorrow morning. text me by 9am to let me know if dd1 is well enough. - for bbwbabelisa the legend

3catstoo · 25/01/2007 09:45

Morning all.

Well after weeks/months of feeling bunged up and yuk I finally decided to take a trip to the gp. I've had earache all week and figured it was linked to the dizziness I've had for months at night. If I lie on my left side I go really dizzy and as soon as I get up I have to sit for 5 mins to let the dizziness pass. I just kept thinking it will go and it doesn't effect me during the day so I kind of forget until bedtime.

GP said I have an inner ear infection that is beyond steaming and decongestant, so I'm on antibiotics again.

I also mentionned that my Gyny had said to go back and see him if I wasn't pg within 4 months of my last appt. (Silly me - didn't ask why! Now thinking he knew it wouldn't happen). So my GP has referred me back to the Gyny.
I saw him privately to begin with as it was not for fertility reasons, although we did discuss it. I can't see him privately this time as my insurance won't cover it. I'm not paying £150 for a 15 min appt!!!
Hopefully it won't take too long to get an appt. GP said about 6 weeks. He also said that he usually writes the letter and then pg happens anyway. I said that sounded good.

Mrs - lol at your sister being on MN.
Have you told her you use it too?

When are you back?
Your temps are sounding promising. Please let it be good news.

BBW - hope your DH gets back in time. Sorry DD is not well.
My youngest DD ios full of cold too. We seem to be passing it around from one to another then another then back again.
DS and DD1's school friends are all still passing a tummy bug around. Mine had it on the second week back and are complaining of tummy pains again now.
It's a hard term in that respect. school seems to amplify these things too.

Off for a chart spot then I'll be back later.

Natty1806 · 25/01/2007 09:57

Thanks BB, sorry to hear DD is poorly.

Looking good Lottie and Greedy - when you testing?/AF's due?

Mrs - fingers crossed for you too hun.

xx

Natty1806 · 25/01/2007 09:57

Hope you get your appointment soon 3cats. x

greedyforbabies · 25/01/2007 10:54

natty - my chart looks good but the last time we BD'd was 5 days before ov cos dh went away around ov! don't really stand a chance do i???!

rahrah1 · 25/01/2007 10:55

My book says that sperm can last up to 5 days... so you never know!

greedyforbabies · 25/01/2007 10:57

yeah! i know! i have been clinging on to that fact! but i always imagine that is sperm from a super fit and healthy young stallion of a man.......not men like my dh!

LOL - Greedy... what a terrible thing to say about your husband...

Natty1806 · 25/01/2007 11:24

Greedy - Nomally i would say you had a small chance but from looking at your chart i would say you have a high chance.

so - when you going to test?

greedyforbabies · 25/01/2007 11:36

i have to admit i tested a couple of days ago! i know i shouldn't have but i did! natty, my chart looked really good last month too......and it didn't come to anything. i have been spotting on and off for the past week too, so i fully expect af to arrive in full force soon!
